I use Photobucket for my arts. I still have to scan the arts I made for Demonskid and myself recently.

@Rey: Personally I use DA when it comes to posting everything else, apart for pics on sig or random stuff I need to show someone...

I haven't updated any legit art on my dA for eons. (Maybe because I haven't done any legit art...)

Ohhh god, LUCKY YOU!!! I so wish I could go to Otakon, I'm actually trying to convince my friends in going there next year since it's a bit before Otakuthon but after Anime North... It's only in Washington, so perhaps as long as going to Toronto for Anime North, the only problem is that it's in the USA and therefore we also need to take some private insurance if we want to go...

And ya, personally I didn't manage to finish all my cosplay (aka Beatrix and WoL) to my liking for Anime North (end of May) because of family issues, therefore I actually hate it when I have friends that see my pics and say 'Oh hey Nefer! Too awesome your Wol! You need to start a blog to help cosplayers!', but then I go 'Ya well...It wasn't finish to my liking, please don't look at it... <_<;;; ' ^^;

This will be my second year going and the only reason I'm going is because Philly is about 2 hours from delaware and my mom actually likes going to cons so she has no problem takin me to em.

@Demo: Oh, that's nice! AN is about 7 hours from here, or well 5 from Mtl (I was hving internships so sometimes I was in Mtl in May), and my parents used to drive my friends are I there (we have a dodge caravan, so we could be 3-4 without problem in the back), we were just splitting the gas spendings between ourselves so it cost us less than half what the bus/train would have cost us... My parents were pretty much taking an hotel around the convention with my father's AirMiles and either going to see my dad's family who are about 1-2 hours from there or they visited Toronto etc.... But now I have to manage to go by myself since they have visited everything they wanted to visit lol.


I'm not the best at sewing either girls, but you just have to take your time and use some old bed sheet or whatnot to modify the pattern first before cutting in the real fabric for your cosplay ^^

My grandma is really good at sewing and she showed me some tips. There are also some guides through YouTube or other sites that could help with teaching.

Yeah always do a test piece before the real thing. lets you make all your mistakes on the test piece XD.

^^ My mom is also really good at sewing, just not so good at understanding patterns so many time we actually go like this: I read the pattern, explain to her how we need to cut and sew, and she sew it lol. Same thing when it comes to modifying it, but for that we're both brainstorming lol.

@Dragoness: Yup ^^ Though she did teach me how to sew, it's just that it's far faster when it's her that do it (I'm too clumsy for my own good xD), so when I'm home we usually do it that way. And I'm not touching her overlock, I let her pass the pieces under it, both her and I don't trust me with that thing xD

I watch a course on it by the company Threads while I had pneumonia and basically taught myself XP

Lol, that's my room of doom xD You can see Beatrix's armor, my 'dolly' of my leg, WoL's helmet and Sephiroth's shoulder armor in the remaking on it xD And a couple of swords and props in the background... lol.

And yup, WoL's helmet base is actually wonderflex, and the two 'under part' of Sephiroth shoulder armor are made of that too ^^ I'm buying more so I can remake Wol and Beatrix's leg armor out of it so it will withstand more walking ^^

Dude is it hard to work with? I am really wanting to do a cosplay with armor ><

Nah, it's actually quite easy as long as you can mold it over something, you just need a heat gun (I got mine for like 10$) to make it smoother than you mold it over something (it can be a coat on your shoulders, a wig head, s cola bottle, anything really lol). But if you make an armor, perhaps you can do the 'main outfit' out of craft foam first though, and make the parts that may need more 'backup' (as those who may break or need to look really solid) out of wonderflex... And if your armor have a 'leathery look', use pleather over your craft foam and just paint it with acrylic paint + medium for fabric mixed in it, that's what I did with WoL ^^


@Dragoness: Thanks ^^ Though I'm missing a couple of posters, two fell down (one behind my librairy desk, no way am I getting it for now xD), and I have an empty spot were I'm supposed to put my Sesshomaru+Rin+Jaken poster lol.

And no prob Demo, glad I could help ^^ Oh, for gluing pleather over pleather or something over pleather, use shoe goo, it takes a day to dry but it's the only thing so far that I found that actually sticks to pleather, even superglue and contact ciment don't O_O

I like to think he's watching over me, slashing all the bad dreams into a billion tiny pieces ^-^
