Do it!! Dye it fancy colors!!
You're gonna look so cool!!

Biomecha 09-27-2019 11:31 PM

That would involve another human touching my head, though. Having a fuzzy hair texture also makes it not look as nice. And maintaining it would be a pain.

mdom 09-27-2019 11:38 PM

yeah maintaining is always an issue <.<
especially with dark hair, roots show up so fast!!
I use a nice vegan dye, but most people say the hair needs to be hydrated

Biomecha 09-27-2019 11:52 PM

Like humectants? Those giant bottles of hyaluronic acid from Asian areas that are meant for skin work really great. Or glycerin. Both need to be mixed with a bit of water first and a tiny amount goes a long way.

mdom 09-28-2019 01:04 AM

Like uhhh needs more conditioner and stuff

speaking of which guess who took a shower too late and is now wide awake!

Biomecha 09-28-2019 02:43 AM

There's the whole business of humectant, emollient, and occlusives for hair and skin. Basically what conditioner and lotion are composed of.

Maybe take a hotter one to help bring back sleepiness?

mdom 09-28-2019 07:38 AM

It was the hottest setting!! Of course, I felt warm afterwards and turned on a fan, but we'll not count that

I was trying to make a flamboyant cowboy but I just look like a texas tycoon who lost their pants

Biomecha 09-28-2019 10:31 AM

So...you succeeded?

mdom 09-28-2019 04:48 PM

I guess the fancy blouse looks too modern. But what other blouse/shirt would work?

Also i'm trying not to make it rainbow xD

Biomecha 09-28-2019 05:12 PM

Swashbuckler Shirt? The sleeveless with sleeves from something else might work.

mdom 09-28-2019 05:58 PM

You're assuming I have that shirt xD

Biomecha 09-28-2019 07:38 PM

I wasn't assuming, because I have one you could borrow if you wanted. Braids are also good for something more southern.

mdom 09-29-2019 12:49 AM

That's very nice of you, Bio!

Hmm what good braids do we have here

littl3chocobo 09-29-2019 04:12 AM

i read that as 'birds' for a moment and got really confused x''D

Biomecha 09-29-2019 04:33 PM

There are good ones, I just don't wear them since they usually cover up my outfit in some way.

I was thinking that birds would be an odd hair choice, but then remembered we have the Anka event item that serves that purpose.

mdom 09-29-2019 04:54 PM

Wait a moment, we have a real bird hair??? where???

Biomecha 09-29-2019 05:12 PM

Anka Nest

I don't know why I didn't use the italics quick tag for item tags sooner. Less to type out that way.

mdom 09-29-2019 05:53 PM

wooo that's some cool hair
not for the avatar I'm making now specifically but... in general xD

oh burning man should totally be a category for the avatar contest

Biomecha 09-29-2019 06:30 PM

Like fire looks? Or the festival?

mdom 09-29-2019 09:10 PM

The festival! It'd force people out of their comfort zone

Biomecha 09-29-2019 09:27 PM

I'm not at all familiar with the festival enough to know how that could even work out as a theme.

mdom 09-29-2019 09:30 PM

uhh it's kinda like mad max
but with cheaper materials

Biomecha 09-29-2019 10:04 PM

It's like, dress for hot weather but add 5 random items from the costume shop.

mdom 09-29-2019 10:33 PM

and that monthly... what's the name scrapyard scrapper

Biomecha 09-29-2019 10:49 PM

I've been wanting to make some sort of junkyard robot with that one. But with other items that also fit the theme.

mdom 09-29-2019 11:03 PM

Yeah we'd have to mix with armor stuff, maybe
More junkyard items!!!

Biomecha 09-29-2019 11:10 PM

There's probably others, just got to keep track of them. More is always better though. Especially for post-apocalyptic looks. Or burning man. We do seem to have a fair amount of gas masks, which they probably use for all the windblown sand?

mdom 09-29-2019 11:19 PM

Ah, true!
There was a dragula episode at burning man! At season 2.

Biomecha 09-29-2019 11:25 PM

I uh, watched the first episode but kind of got annoyed with the personalities. Keep meaning to start back up.

mdom 09-30-2019 12:58 AM

Do it! They have some cool challenges!
The queens, yeah, I agree |D Disasterina is there though. Love ha!!!

Biomecha 09-30-2019 01:45 AM

I'll try it again. I've started a lot of shows but am struggling to get through any.

mdom 09-30-2019 02:20 AM

I see. When I'm like that I watch silly things on netflix. Like car renovation shows. Why is that entertaining to me? I don't even have a license

Biomecha 09-30-2019 02:34 AM

Ohh, there used to be so many custom car and motorcycle shows that were actually pretty decent. But then American Chopper came along and they all seemed to shift to more fake drama.

mdom 09-30-2019 11:48 AM

I watched car racing shows, too. One of them got me very mad, about custom cars and fancy cars. Putting them to race together, like woooo, can those self made cars be as fast as a lamborghini?? The answer is no.

Biomecha 09-30-2019 03:40 PM

But then, would it be worth watching if it was that easy to beat a Lamborghini?

mdom 09-30-2019 03:55 PM

Well, not easy xD they show the dudes doing whatever mechanical work is needed to fix their frankenstein cars to beat the expensive car
but it never works

Biomecha 09-30-2019 04:29 PM

I like the shows where it's about making the custom cars pretty. But shows like Monster Garage were awesome because they were the right balance of being do-able, yet difficult. And it was about transforming them into something unique so there was the element of seeing things you haven't seen before.

mdom 09-30-2019 05:56 PM

They have too much drama about the team tho xD
more about cars being disassembled!! Less about your personal lives!!!

Biomecha 09-30-2019 07:07 PM

Yeah, the fabrication is the best part. Then they try to amp up the drama by giving impossible timelines.

mdom 09-30-2019 07:19 PM

I miss Xhibit
am I showing my age
