Yankee's, idiotic southerners, and blacks in the south claim that "Dixie" is a racist song, even forcing MSU to ban the song from being sung at their sporting events (not to mention they banned the old mascot). However there isnt even one lyric in the song that is even remotely Racist; their "racism" is rooted in that it was a show tune favored by the Confederacy, despite the fact it was a song written by an Ohian.
