no it wasn't monsters.. the sounds, the smells.. how dreary and cold they were (or hot if it's an attic) It may be something my subconsious remembers that I don't xD

My childhood friend's dads house... the basement didn't look like a basement.. I wasn't scared to go there. But he died and She lived with her mother.. and I lost contact with her.. *shrugs* Growing up she was my only 'true' friend but we drifted =w=
