You can't win them all, Espy. It certainly has a better combat system than other games, though it's not my favorite by far. To each their own, I suppose.

TERA and BnS combat systems are like...uh...
Well, okay, a lot of MMORPG combat systems are where you choose a skill, click on an enemy and use it. Your positioning does not matter; if you are too far away, the game will move your closer until you're within range to use the skill/attack, and the enemy will hit you no matter where you are.

In TERA and BnS, if you fire off a skill and aren't close enough, it just doesn't hit at all. Your position relative to the enemy DOES matter; if the enemy has a cone AoE attack and you're in that cone, well sucks for you. As a Priest in TERA with a back attack racial boost, I tend to run behind enemies and snipe them with ranged from behind. By the time the enemy actually turns around, I'm long gone. And there's no "currently targeted" enemy; all you have to do to attack someone else is just turn towards the other enemy and attack. Targeting only happens with heals and buffs from the player's side.

Well, there are other differences, too, but those are a bit hard to describe. You'd have to actually play to know. I think a lot of not-multiplayer RPGs use this system, though...?

That's probably why combat systems arn't too complicated in most games, it can kill computers. DX

Also, yeah, TERA can be pretty taxing on a laptop. And for my priest, I decided to chose the race that was...the most unlikely to be priest. Their racial bonuses are more geared towards warriors (dual bladers) and such.

Vincent -- Pirates 101 and Wizards 101 had a system sort of similar to that, and the browser games I was talking about are those really shitty browser MMORPGs.

I know of ... Flyff? Maple Story... uh. Adventurequestonline, Crystal... something... it's relatively new? I tried that one on a friend's computer and it was pretty fun. x3 uhh. The Forbidden Gates was FUN. until they introduced magic /:

Yes. Been there in TERA for a while (No way to do the Quests/dungeons without a group and all...and team stopped really talking about it, so I sort of lost interest.
