We have EB Games here in Florida, too.

Oh really? I thought it was Gamestop all over the states and EB here in Canada, cause they are both owned by the same company, but I've only ever heard of Gamestop in the states. That's kinda cool then.

Reyoki 05-12-2011 08:32 PM

The GameStop at the mall here used to be EB Games. The only place I've seen an actual EB Games recently, though, was down in Miami when I went to visit my aunt.

Interesting... I've never seen a Gamestop up here so I wonder what that's all about.

Did anyone ever play American McGee's Alice back when it came out on the PC? I just read about the sequel coming up in June (in xbox magazine) and apparently they are saying whoever buys the sequel will also get the original to play on xbox. Was wondering if anyone played it and your opinions on it? I never played the original but I know about it and it's always sounded pretty cool but I don't think my comp could take it and I'm not a huge PC gamer.

Where is 'here' if you don't mind me asking? I always find it interesting to find out whether other places around the world have the same shops as I do. I know when I go back home to Terceira Island, Portugal everything is always so different from here (Canada).

Ashy 05-13-2011 12:04 AM

Sorry, im in Brisbane, Australia :P

I'm borrowing Jade Cocoon from my friend. o:!

EB Games==> became Gamestop in the states for moi.

Quiet Man Cometh 05-13-2011 02:25 AM

EB rocks. We have two around the house where I live, and assuming the third is still there, well, three. I'm not surprised that they are in the States but Aus seems a stretch. Never realized the company was that big, or expansive.

Ashy 05-13-2011 02:54 AM

theyre not very big over here

Reyoki 05-13-2011 10:57 AM

It's not uncommon to see 3-7 different GameStop locations in one city here. We also have MovieStop stores, which are part of the same family. I love buying lightly used anime DVDs there.

I've never seen a MovieStop up here, that would be awesome to have.

Ashy: That's awesome I always wanted to go to autralia but never seem to have the money.. humph.. Well maybe someday I will...

Taiki 05-13-2011 10:17 PM

I've never heard of MovieStop. O:

Reyoki 05-14-2011 10:57 AM

If I can remember, I'll grab a pic next time I go there. When I first saw it, I thought it was a GameStop. Then I looked closer and I thought "... is this some kind of joke?" Then I went inside and there was magic!

Angel Spirit Girl 05-14-2011 12:31 PM

I have only seen that Alice game. Not played it. It looking kind of interesting.

Moviestop sounds interesting. I wonder if it will come to the US.

Reyoki 05-14-2011 12:35 PM

It is in the US. We have them here in Florida.
