The 9th Judgment
BY James Patterson & Maxine Paetro

I love this series. Crime Novels are my love.

RedWineDrinker 03-20-2012 12:35 AM

Recently finished "A Storm of Swords" by George R. R. Martin already onto "A Feast for Crows" the 4th in the set, i cant put them down

Kiddiss 03-21-2012 09:08 PM

Ooh- "The Martian Chronicles" sounds interesting! *adds to "Must read after FINALLY finishing 'Atlas Shrugged'" list*

The last book I finished was a read-in-one-night book called "Michael Vey of Cell 25".
It's a book written for the adolescent crowd, but so was Harry Potter, so I read it. It's going to be similar to Harry Potter I the way that the tone of the books will mature as the main characters age. The main plot is that Michael has a special power, and a secret group is trying to recruit him into a program with other teens who have a special power similar to his. It's a very interesting concept, and I can't wait for the next book ^_^

Kasolyna 03-21-2012 11:28 PM

Howl's moving castle. Soooo good, one of my fave reads because the characters are interesting and despicable in their own wonderful ways. Hard to describe, but definitely better than the movie.

Airina 03-23-2012 12:17 AM

I recently finished river marked by Patricia Briggs it is amazing!

HABIT 03-26-2012 09:05 AM

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer.

I hate Bella so hard. =___=

Airina 03-26-2012 12:18 PM

Lol I think for the most part everyone does.

Espy 03-26-2012 10:50 PM

Dune by Frank Herbert. Was for Sci-Fi/English class. For its size, it actually isn't a tedious read.

XAllurcore 03-27-2012 12:42 AM

I think the last I read, was when I re-read Alice Anonymous, its a diary type thing, I can't explain it. xD

Zach 03-28-2012 12:44 AM

It was either The Book Thief or The Hunger Games. Which I found The Book Thief to be a better book.

Night Angel 03-28-2012 01:33 AM

Last book I finished would be the one from which my own name is drawn. For those of you who might not know, that would be the first book in the Night Angel Trilogy: The Way of Shadows.

momo the peachy 03-28-2012 09:49 AM

Omg...that was a long time ago....does manga count?

Rinni 03-28-2012 01:36 PM

The Zombie Survival Guide (( Again. Gotta get some new books. ))

Bucket 03-30-2012 08:02 AM

The last book I read was 'Life On The Refrigerator Door' by Alice Kuipers. I cried reading this. Even though it's not an actual book as such, and written in short note form, it's still incredibly touching.

Rinni 03-30-2012 11:47 AM

Bought a bundle of new books today. Just finished the first one in the pile:

"Eat This Again!" by Dom DeLuise

Tis a cookbook, but it has interesting little tidbits between recipes.

Avox 03-31-2012 01:27 PM

I haven't finished a book in a while. >.<' It was probably the fifth time I read The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. It's my absolute FAVORITE book.

That or maybe a random Stephen King book from out small library. XD

Rinni 03-31-2012 04:12 PM

"Urawaza: Secret Everyday Tips and Tricks From Japan" by Lisa Katayama

Dorian Pavus 04-01-2012 08:10 PM

Dracula was my last one, it was for a collage class.

Rinni 04-03-2012 03:07 AM

"Skullduggery Pleasant" by Derek Landy

Kali_Namir 04-05-2012 03:30 PM

The last book I finished was probably my big book of all the Chronicles of Narnia...

MayChan 04-09-2012 09:21 PM

Mockingjay

Doll of the Puppet Master 04-10-2012 09:57 AM

Hunger Games because so many people recommended it to me that I finally bit the bullet and read it. Still not sure how I feel about it though, but I am reading the next two just to see if the trilogy gets any better. Something about it just made me go meh when I read the first one... I think I was expecting less pretend lovey type stuff and more violence.

Fauxreal 04-10-2012 05:02 PM

I'm rereading all the Harry Potter books. <3 I'm at The Order of the Phoenix.

Xun 04-10-2012 11:50 PM

The Kite Runner... but that was for my English class. lol ;;

DragonDrifter 04-11-2012 01:05 AM

Asami 04-11-2012 01:09 PM

Just finished awaken at dawn
it sucks because idont know when ill be able to r ead the next book in the series u.u and its a good series

Alyssia 04-12-2012 04:16 PM

That would have to be Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë. I picked it up once when I was younger and couldn't get past the first chapter. I picked it up again recently and I couldn't put it down really. I just sucked me in.

If you like unrequited love then you should look into it, although it does take some getting used to.
Snippet about it from wikipedia

Quote:

"The title of the novel comes from the Yorkshire manor on the moors of the story. The narrative centres on the all-encompassing, passionate, but ultimately doomed love between Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff, and how this unresolved passion eventually destroys them and the people around them."

Syari 04-12-2012 09:59 PM

Prince of Thorns by Mark Lawrence.

It's actually really good and I wasn't expecting it to be - it's written by a friend of mine's father. I enjoyed his character building and his writing style is refreshing.
Dark fantasy style book, I recommend it to anyone who's looking for a new series to follow up on. c:

Moonless Midnight 04-13-2012 07:47 AM

I just finished Howel's Moving Castle yesterday. It's such a hilarious book. I think that was my 4th time reading it.

It's different and similar at the same time to Miyazaki's movie of the same name since he based it off of the book. He stayed true to the important parts of the story which I loved so I love both the movie and the book ^_^

If you guys ever get the chance; and you like fantasy and humor, then you should try reading it some time ^_^

Yokuutsu 04-15-2012 09:04 PM

Hunger Games!

I watched the movie so I had to read the book. I liked the book better XD

Memory 04-18-2012 04:29 PM

I finished the last book of the Chronicles of Methuselah.
It was really great to the fact that I wished the author would make another book, a continuation. ^^

Rinni 04-19-2012 04:16 PM

Just read "Death of a Salesman" for English. :3

Shohnightingale 04-19-2012 08:54 PM

Yokuutsu 04-20-2012 12:08 AM

Just finished Catching Fire.

It made me sad D:

Cecily Hopnotch 04-20-2012 04:36 PM

I believe it was called Cloverhand... can't remember who wrote it.
And it wasn't very good. The concept was brilliant, but it was just another twilight hash-out... so no good. </3

Rinni 04-22-2012 03:15 AM

Just read "The Encyclopedia of Immaturity: Vol. 2". It's a kids book, I know, but it still makes me smile, and I enjoy it.

....and it may have some interesting ideas in it. *innocent face*

I'm tempted to skip that one, as I've read the first four. Wasn't terribly fond of the movie.

This thread depressed me a titch. Every time I see the title I can't help but think 'I can't remember.' -.-

That doesn't say much for my reading right now, does it?

Yokuutsu 04-24-2012 10:44 AM
