See, that's no good. Join the nap squad!
|
I had a nice long nap today, and I found the PERFECT spot slightly to the left of middle of the bed, and it was nice and warm, and I put my feet in that spot, and.... utter bliss.
|
Sounds absolutely divine.
|
It was! Then I got woken for dinner, and it was less so.
|
Awwww. That sucks.
|
I have a really comfortable bed and really comfy pillows and comforters, so my bed is always sleep inducing. Just love sleeping, napping may become my new thing to do.
|
Augh! Sorry I disappeared guys! I was really busy yesterday and today. And Ill be busy the rest of this week too! Ive got visits with my bf's mom tomorrow, disneyland tuesday, dnd, cookie baking lol. Im a busy lady.
BUT! Pants/toast is indeed here and knows about the thread~ |
What? what? where is he, who is he here.
I was thinking about you Hols, hoping you were just busy and okay, sounds like you have fun stuff coming up! Enjoy! |
Yup! No worries momma o Uo
He said he's Debauchery on here. I saw him for a sec earlier and did a friend request thingy |
Yay, new people! Where did you him from?
|
I only skimmed the first post... something about strange people? Count me in!
|
Welcome, friend.
|
*rolls about*
I am being naughty and am procrastinating on present making! |
For shame!
|
I need to finish the last bit of attaching parts on the dragon...and then I need to find good hat colors and work on a couple of those.
XP |
@ Hols: I sent him a friend thingy too! Hope he decides to hang out here. I sure do miss him.
@ Death: Welcome, yes we are a bit of a diverse crew, welcome welcome! Hang out here anytime. @Lee: He was one of the original founding members of Closet Perverts on ERnya, We are hopefully totally back! @Kad GET TO WORK, YOUNG LADY! hehehe procrastinating is good! |
Nooo...Christmas is almost here! Procrastinating is bad. Very very bad.
|
Oh just take a nap! Read a book! Watch TV! hahaha
See this is why I don't do Christmas I procrastinate too much! |
Haha...but I am in need of present making still!
XD Have kind of not done much tonight so far..just a few minor finishing bits on a dragon. |
Those dragons you make are so damn cute!
I would so much prefer to get a gift made by a friend than a store bought one. I have a secret, for the last few years every time I get a gift for my birthday or whatever, I already have it. -so dismayed- I feel bad because my friends spent their money on something I already have. |
Aww...but at least it's something you like? So if you lose the first one you have a spare?
Homemade gifts are definitely cool to get though. I just regret not being better prepared to make stuff. XD |
Oh I feel bad for them, because I always tell my friends that I don't want gifts. I always have a birthday party for myself and I treat my friends and I specifically say "no gift" your friendship is my gift. So I feel so bad that they spent their money on me, at least they know what I like. haha
|
Ah yeah...it's kind of awkward when you say no gift and they get a gift anyway.
|
Yeah it is and I truly mean it! I have enough stuff, I don't need more, what I need is my friends.
|
And an adorable dragon plushie...everyone needs an adorable dragon plushie...
>.> |
...but of course <3 You can never have enough plushies. When I read I hug my bunny <3 (My stuffed animal bunny that is).
|
Surprisingly, I only have 2 plushies. My childhood teddy bear and the first dragon I made.
|
I have a lot pf plushies, but Toss has been basically everywhere with me. Had to make sure I remembered to pack him coming back from uni just a couple days back.
|
Aww...yeah, don't forget poor Toss!
|
He's a 13-year-old tiger and is now kind of deformed from being squished into very packed luggage a few too many times.
I accidentally left him at a hotel once, and the hotel staff was really nice and actually /mailed him back to me/. Best Xmas gift ever. |
Awww...tiger! Cute!
I'm too afraid of losing my oldest stuffed animal to take him anywhere, not that I travel ever. That was super awesome of the staff to get Toss back to you! |
Oh yep, the sweet taste of procrastination. I'm doing homemade gifts for everyone this year too, and right now the hooded towel I sew for my cousin's kiddo takes much longer than I thought it would. Spent half an hour alone on convincing my machine to actually sew zigzag stitch instead of a straight line when it's set to zigzag. :s-dead:
Remind me to never get kids of my own. @Moonshadow: My family has a "no gifts" rule for Christmas since at least 10 years. No one ever adheres to it. I suppose people just like giving gifts and making each other happy. @Espy: That was nice indeed. Yay for great hotel staff! @Kaderin: Get to work NOW! (just kidding... but I can totally relate ^^) |
Death: I finally did. Depending on how late I stay up, I should have 3 of my 5, essential gifts finished.
|
Congratulations, well done!
I'm working at #8 of 12 right now, and probably need an alternate gift idea for my aunt, as one of the tools I definitely needed for her original gift isn't working right now... :p-ugh: *crosses fingers for local tech shop to repair the laser as soon as possible* |
Oh man...hope it gets fixed in time...but an alt. gift idea is a good plan for sure. I actually already downgraded a couple of gifts because of time constraints.
We can do it! |
Yeah, I hope so too. This is literally the worst timing for the laser to break. I was counting heavily on it for my crafts, and I bet others were too. Hmmm... if I get rid of the bedroom, I could purchase my own. Who needs sleep anyway?
|
So the laser is in your sewing machine?
|
Death: So...what are you making for people with the laser, if I may ask?
|
@Lee: No... but that would be super awesome! I'm definitely going to put "sewing machine with a laser" on my wish list. Everything is better with lasers *nod*
@Kaderin: I made a wooden note pad cover with living hinges already (=plywood cut in such a way it becomes flexible), and I wanted to engrave a cookie stamp in acrylic. You know, the sort which is pressed into shortbread before baking and then leaves an imprint. And for my grandma I plan to do filled chocolates, which doesn't need the laser per se, but I also wanted to cut an intricate box for packaging. Then there's my cousin for whom I considered making either a small candle lantern or a similar note pad to the one my uncle got. Switched that for a bottle of homemade spice oil, because there's no way I can jury-rig living hinges with a fret saw. You know what? Forget the sci-fi sewing machine. I need a clone device. Two or three of me with their combined efforts should be able to finish in time ^^ |
Wow...those sound amazing!
*grabby hands* I hope you can get everything finished in time! |
