Pirates do suck. They're skill-up monsters for specific other monsters, and that's it. More or less anything below four stars is either useless trash, XP fodder, skill-up fodder, evo materials, or unevolved.

There are a few four-star monsters that are usable past the early game, and there's one conditional dungeon (RO ACE Collab) that has a four-star limit on what monsters you're allowed to bring in. Four- and five-star monsters tend to be a little bit too weak for late-game use but are usually good for filling out a team in the early- to mid-game, especially since they usually have low team costs as well.

Of note: The high ninjas and the ultimate-evolved ogres are 4* monsters. The ogres are useful for beating King and Super King dragons for a long time until you get a team with enough spike damage to penetrate their defense anyway, and the high ninjas are very easy to level up and have ridiculously high ATK relative to how easy they are to get, level, and fit into teams. (I've mentioned before that my High Dark Ninja is still a staple of my devil team.) But other than those monsters, you'll outgrow most 4* monsters fairly quickly.

Dragons, sadly, are hard to use late-game. They don't tend to have good enough skills to back up their stats, and they have pretty crappy RCV. It's POSSIBLE to build a passable late-game dragon team but your selection is limited and you're probably better off with a different type.

On the discussion of low-rarity monsters: There are a few REALLY good 5* monsters. Mini lu bu, mini lucifer, and mini valkyrie are among the best 5* monsters in the game, for example; they all have exactly the same active and leader skills as their non-chibi counterparts and their stats aren't terrible. Mini valkyrie's awoken skills are actually better than her non-chibi version -- she's ridiculously powerful for a 5*. And Ancient Draggie Knight, Zeal is pretty good if you run a dragon team (except he's a massive pain to skill up), but unfortunately dragon teams in general have problems.

Edit: As for your collection, check out your Monster Book in the Other menu. I had to let that satisfy me. :P

Well, got 20 eggs from the pal machine today since they have the more rare materials monster thing going on for me, got some evo materials that will be useful in the future and some that I could feed to level other monsters. XD

You should keep stamina the same though, keeps people from finishing all of the content too fast, and gives people a reason to go back to the forums.
(Maybe even allow staff members to regenerate Stamina to anyone they feel like who talks in the forums. Would have to be heavily regulated though and limited. Gives people a reason to go to the forums and talk again so they aren't solely focused on the game.)

Nope. Chimeras are good for two purposes: feeding to monsters (ideally, to pengdra to prepare them for evolution), or feeding to the starter dragons for skillups once evolved.

Regenerating stamina based on forum activity is, in fact, exactly what I was already planning to do. :P

Art Wise we have me, illu, ml and moonkin for monsters ouo (i'll try at least) We could make little sticker faces for our monsters ourselves. We'd need to know the maximum and minimum sizes of the monster arts.

we could also use the game to hold mini event/contests for the users! I remember when we use to hold item contests and the winner would get a free set of items. We could do something similar once the game is done or close to being done. Hold a monster drawing contest, winners get their monsters put in the game and a free version of it to use.

Lu Bu would go great with my Red Sonia team, I have so many good devil monsters that I don't know what to even do with now.

Liu Bei's new ultimate is amazing. I just need to evolve him and then I can get it. I have 2 Verdandi, now him. I can actually do a green team now!

2 Isis.... One for each evo I guess? I don't really need her, heck 2 Ra's or Bastet's would had been more useful. She would had been great day 1, but now I'm scratching my head trying to figure out what to do with her.

Now Bastet... I love her, she is like super waifu awesomeness. I just don't know what to do with her. Amazing green leader, awesome sub. I should just throw her into my Verdandi team since her skill is very useful for mass damage. But I don't know what else to do with that team, I have Freyja, and my Green Odin... Odin would be great for healing.

I was able to pull twice and got Blue Dragon Caller, Sonia (OMG!! OWO Its considered S rank for evolved form and has awesome abilities) and I got Ur-Chimera but the Chimera doesn't seem worth keeping. So I was thinking of feeding it to Sonia. XD

My major problem is the costs, I can only have a team with a total point cost of 53 and a lot of the better monsters I have I can't freakin use! >.< I'm only rank 44 so that's giving em some trouble. =(

1M is way too little ^^; It's really easy to burn through a million coins. I had 17M yesterday. I have 6M now.

Bastet's way better. Freyja is limited to Balanced, which doesn't scale well. Bastet works for ANYTHING and provides a better bonus when triggered -- and Bastet's combo requirement is pretty easy all things considered. (Of course Kushinadahime is better than both.)

Edit: And believe me, I know about Balanced. My best team was Balanced for a LONG time. Unfortunately, being balanced means they don't have any one stat good enough to really excel -- not enough HP, not enough ATK, not enough RCV. The RCV being weak is the worst part.

I just Evoed Sonia and now I can't freakin use her! I need 60 points and I only have 54. T-T Is there a way to increase points other than leveling?

Unfortunately, no. You'll just have to adjust your team.

It should have warned you when you tried to evolve it that it would break your team...

The bad thing about Blonia is that all of her good subs come from Rem. You need Physical Monsters that are Blue.

So in essence, she is a great monster but probably the worst for newcomers.

She is called one of the Whale monsters. Whales are people who drop a lot of money on the game for monsters from the REM.

So unless you are planning on buying a lot of monsters in the future, I suggest using Blue Sonia as a sub and not a leader unless you get a lot of good Physical/Blue monsters in the future.

I'v actually already gotten one or two physical monsters, and I have two blue dragons I'm trying to get the stuff to evo as well. Though hard to get the materials when I keep getting distracted by shinies. ^^; And I had all the materials needed for her so I figured why not? x'D

You have urn Skuld! MAKE HER YOUR LEADER. She is an amazing water leader, and you have a great amount of water monsters.

she's the leader to one of my teams o3o i just use my dragon team the most.

You don't have enough stamina to run it, so it doesn't show it to you. I think Illusion mentioned that a couple days ago. (But this thread's active enough that would have been easy to miss.)

Blonia doesn't even have all that many good REM subs. (BTW, remember that they can be dark too, not just blue, depending on your team composition.) My physical team is blue and dungeon-only using Siegfried as a leader, and adding in REM doesn't actually help THAT much. You get BlOdin and Orochi and Creuse, yeah, but for example Noah, Amon, and Siegfried are non-IAP. And Blonia's RCV-to-Physical bonus is really hard to make effective use of since Physical-types have horrible RCV. If you ask me, Siegfried is a better blue-physical leader, and Gravis is a better any-color physical leader.

Don't worry, Tamadra are fairly easy to get long-term. Some events hand one out every day. There's even a coin dungeon once you get up to rank 165, although it costs 10M to even get into it.
