Well, I just know that when contests are due near holidays, you have to extend them anyways. This gets through the start of school (fall semester), Halloween, mid-terms, Thanksgiving, finals, Christmas, New Years, and the (re-)start of school (spring semester). @w@;

I want to give artists enough time to get a quality work in.

I don't have that restriction because I love art even if it's just a bust and I feel there're already enough restrictions for artists these days. However, the less of my avatar you draw, the more detailed and clean I look for it to be. *nods* :3

I always do long ones because if I do short ones most artists will tell me they're too busy and don't have time. Hopefully almost six months will help everyone out, and I'm in no hurry. *nods*
