Our jail is almost at capacity (if it's not already). Last night our city police department did a raid and brought in 30 more people

Put up any more wire fences or were the incarcerated just a little excited? o.o;

Yeah, we had 510 inmates the last time I checked, which was about 1am.

Ah. Fresno CA has been, at different points, in the USA: Most violent crimes, methamphetamine central, and drunkest city.

We have a lot of meth issues around here. I'm about 30 minutes from Chattanooga, TN, which was recently listed as the 11th most dangerous place to live in the US

Sei- we have a mixture of repeat offenders, first timers, pre-sentencing, and we also house inmates for other agencies. Being a jail, we only house people that are sentenced to less than a year. Anything a year or more gets sent to prison

No, no, you're fairly correct. As long as people keep getting locked up, we still need people to watch em.

My goal is to be a patrol officer. I would much rather be bringing them in than taking care of them...

I would rather not be one of them, and that's ok with me for now. I need nothing else to do with them XD
