I'm running dark Izanami / dark Fagan / summer Pandora / DQ Hera / dark Xuanzang and pairing with Kanna (since Fagan and Xuanzang are dragon-type, Kanna helps counter Izanami's HP penalty). This team hits hard.
|
I have a regular pandora o3o,
I'm playing with possible dark team builds.. for some reason most of them end up devil teams instead =w=, so far the only NON-Devil team i made so far is https://www.padherder.com/user/Demonskid/teams/#203952 Friend Leader isn't decided yet so i didn't change that.. I haven't seen what all my friends have.. >.>, https://www.padherder.com/user/Demonskid/teams/#203952 I think that's what i have in that team now.. i think one or two of those are different. I know Okuni is my leader and I know Pandora is in there... I may have changed the rest >.>, |
lol, and there are still mostly devils on that team. XD
|
My main dark team is a devil team -- I run Beelzebub with a Sonia friend leader for 2/6.25/2.5 for a well-rounded mostly-TPA team with no significant weaknesses. This dark Izanami team is new and has kinda measly RCV and not enough HP for comfort; it's purely a sweeper team and I wouldn't bring it into an unfamiliar dungeon.
So don't feel bad about running a devil team for dark. Devil is probably the strongest type in the game right now. |
And has some of the hottest guys. XD
|
DK doesn't like the Zuse dungeon D:<
|
I don't like any of the dungeons yet. ^^;
|
Shinrabanshoooooooo!
I've already got everything good from it that doesn't require dumping too much money into the REM, but there are some dungeon drops that DK and ml might find useful. (I'll probably run it a few times for skillups.) For example: Raging Kagato recently picked up a uvo. 2025 ATK with a TPA, and an active skill that does 200xATK damage. And if you don't have a good Attacker-type leader, he's 1.5xHP 2.5xATK, which is decent for a non-REM leader. Demon God Masterion is in a similar boat -- solid stats for a farmable boss, a decent active skill (20% gravity), a useful leader skill if you don't have better (2xATK 2xRCV for devil), and a TPA. Exiled Apollo isn't quite as good as Raging Kagato but it's hard to find good Balanced-type monsters so I've got him sitting in my box as "if I ever have nothing else to feed ruby dragons to". Might be decent for ml though. The REM monsters aren't bad, but I'm not sure they're amazing enough in the current metagame to warrant rolling on it instead of saving your stones for a godfest. Still, I make regular use of a couple of them. Meanwhile: The Kapibara-san collab has nothing useful at all except as evo materials for a couple of the Shinrabansho REM monsters. |
lol, Coda, the reason why I don't like running them is because I can't really get up to be able to use a stronger team. Right now what I really need is to evo both my blue and green odins, but I'm 1-2 points shy of being able to afford one of them being evoed. But now I've gotten to the point in the regular dungeons where I can get through the stages and fight the boss without dying, but having issues dealing more than one point of damage. x'D Even with six chain and using the element the boss is weak to I'm only dealing one point of damage. ^^;
|
That's why I ran King slimes when I was at your level -- giving up a sub slot in exchange for that kind of spike damage against a high-defense boss is usually a worthwhile exchange.
Another good choice is poison (Cleopatra and Lilith are the easiest to get). Defense breakers are hard to make useful. Top Droidragon and non-Awoken Ifrit are worthwhile but both are hard to get, and Machine Golem, Dark Golem, and Awoken Ifrit only do 75% defense reduction (and are also hard to get) so you still have to have some pretty hefty spike damage on the team. Depending on the boss, this could be more or less useful than a 3xATK bonus from a King slime. The Barons are only 50% defense reduction and are almost certainly not worth it. If the boss only has double-digit HP, another option is to stack tons of HP and RCV (I've been known to run 4/1/4 or 2/2/4) and just ping through the dungeon. It's slow but effective. I can give more specific advice if you tell me which dungeon(s) you're stuck on. EDIT: One more point in favor of King slimes -- they work against bosses with status ailment resistance, while defense break and poison obviously do not. |
QnQ DK hasn't seen Cleo's dungeon in the coin store fora while now.. its always cat dragon dungeon or flower/insect dungeon
Shinrabansho!!!!! *u* I think this is the collab that has the skill ups for shiva lets see if some drop for me this time 3:< lets see if the bosses drop for dk o3o but i want those shiva skill ups more *u* |
Cleo's dungeon is a regular technical now! No need for coin dungeons.
|
OnO now dk needs to unlocks it then.. 3:<
|
I got Neptune, I forgot if he's able to do poison or if it was just his awoken evo that does it. or do you think that won't be enough? Because I could put him in there in place of blue Odin, but I can't remember if he's a god or not, I'll have to check.
|
Neptune has poison in all of his forms, yes. Unevolved it's stronger than Lilith's but weaker than Cleopatra's; evolved, it beats Cleopatra. And all of Neptune's forms are God-type except for Awoken Neptune.
Of note: Red Odin has poison too. |
Okay, so until I get him up to Awoken evo I can totally use him for my god team. Awesome! And I don't have Red Odin. T-T
|
The W/L and W/D evos are perfectly useful until you get the mats for Awoken. (They have quite a bit more HP than Awoken, too.)
|
True, I just don't know how long it will take me to evo up to one of them is all. ^^;
|
I'm trying to figure out why you're having so much trouble, ml. I feel like I'm missing some factor that would explain why I was doing better than you were when I was at that level. It sounds like your combo skill is good enough so it doesn't seem to be a question of your ability as a player, and I didn't pull the REM very often at all when I was at your rank so it's unlikely to be a question of IAP-related game advantages. (Actually you appear to be ahead of me in that regard.)
Yes, current descends ought to give you trouble because they keep gradually increasing the difficulty level of them (but the drops are correspondingly that much stronger). I just don't feel like that explains your troubles advancing in the normal and technical dungeons; I didn't hit the wall there until around Ocean of Heaven (and then another wall at Starlight Sanctuary) on the normal path and Hill of Iris's Rainbow on the technical path. Maybe part of the problem is that they don't run the easier descends often enough anymore because the advanced players whine about not getting challenging content. Same with the Pal Egg Machine -- it used to be a useful source of early-to-mid-game monsters like Echidna, Succubus, and Vampire, but now it's been overhauled to cost more pal points and it doesn't drop teamworthy monsters anymore except during the "rare monster" carnival. And monsters that might be useful (Siegfried, Cu Chulainn, DQ Hera) are relegated to normal dungeons that you have to have already beaten Starlight Sanctuary to get -- when they'd be helpful to get you through them in the first place. I guess my advice would be to aggressively farm weekend dungeon for coins so you can run the cheap coin dungeons, since that seems to be where a lot of the mid-tier monsters have ended up. |
Nyahahahaha >:D DK has 100 stamina!
that one collab boss was a pain in the butt to beat, especially since my skyfall drops were crap never giving me dark or green orbs 3:< |
Ocean of Heaven is actually the one I was only doing 1 damage to the boss but having no problem with my health. I think I might need to also hunt for some + monsters as well, that might help me as well. For the tech dungeon I'm at Mechdragons' Massive Fortress, but I haven't done that one since I started getting my god team up higher. I might be able to do that one now since it was health I was worried about before and not attack. I've also got the Forbidden Tower-No.L. Skills (what ever that last part means o.O). And my problem is always not being able to do enough damage at the end of the boss fights for the second level bosses most of the time to kill them before they launch a five wave attack. ^^; That's what happened the one time I almost killed something, it maybe had 1/25 hp left and then did that to me and killed me. =.=;
|
Forbidden Tower's condition is "no leader skills" -- you basically have six subs instead of two leaders and four subs. Fortunately, the monster health and attack power are reduced to compensate. The dungeons following it are particularly annoying because they require that all of your monsters have a certain element, but that element's orbs never appear. (This is less annoying now than it used to be -- it used to be you whole team had to have their MAIN element as that color, and now it can be the sub element.)
As for boss fights: That's a strategy thing. Bosses go rage mode at low health. This means that you should save your spike damage active skills until closer to the end of the fight. Gravity and poison should be used right away, of course, but damage multipliers (King slimes, Lu Bu, Kanna, Muse/Delgado/etc.), defense breakers (barons, Machine/Dark Golem, Top Droidragon, Shiva), and massive direct-damage attacks (Lucifer, Raging Kagato) should be saved for when you know you can spike the boss all the way down to 0% in one turn. (Of course, if you have so much spike damage lined up that you can OHKO them, then that means you use them on turn one.) This also means that when you're getting the boss close to its rage mode (usually 20% but some bosses start getting nasty as high as 50%) it can be wise to save up attacking orbs for a turn or two so you can get a stronger combo -- for example, if a single 3-match would pull the boss into rage mode, stall until you can use multiple attacking 3-matches (or 4-matches for a TPA team) to try to blast past it. Delay effects (Echidna, Orochi) get used depending on if/when the boss uses a status ailment shield. Late-game, most bosses throw up a status ailment shield as a preemptive, so delay effects are useless, but some don't do it until their first turn so using a delay right away is ideal there. For bosses that don't use a status ailment shield at all, or for those that have short durations on their shields, saving the delay until you need it to prevent them from using super-powerful attacks is best. |
So I can use the damage spike/dealing skills I can use once in the beginning, save up for them until low on hp and then attack is probably the best way for me right now since it takes over seven minutes for me to get it that low to begin with. ^^; Either way I guess I'll give that tech dungeon a try and also level up Neptune and my other god/fallen angel thing as much as I can. And I still have a ton of Tamadas. =.=;
|
Uh... okay, what's your team build, if it's taking you seven minutes? O.o Which specific dungeon floor is giving you trouble?
Do note that the strategy you suggest will take a very long time, because the worthwhile spike skills have cooldowns on the order of 20-30 turns. EDIT: It sounds like you might benefit from having a Gravity effect on your team. I'd suggest DQ Hera except you can't GET her yet. Do you have Santa Claus Hera? |
I have Santa Hera, yes. I have done a little leveling on her. And the reason it takes me so long is because after taking an attack I have to heal up. I still try to do combos but I can't always get my hp back above 80% thus I loose the bonus from my leader because of that. It's dark Izanagi.
Here's my god team for you as it currently is: linky |
ML o3o you say you has lots of tamadras right? why not use them on the mons that are on your team that could eats them?
L/D Izanagi and Lumiel could nom on some tama-treats o3o unless you haven't updated that xD I'm at Aither Desert in Tech Dungeons =w= dk been lazy i should do more -lazes around and does collabs instead- Holy Dragon Stone why you no drop D:< DK does NOT like the smaller orb boards in the challenge dungeons 3:< |
I like the 7x6 boards better than the 5x4 boards. The 5x4's are too hard to get good combos on, more likely to screw out out of having useful attacking orbs.
ml, if you're having trouble keeping your HP high enough to keep Izanagi active, then perhaps you should consider subbing in Santa Hera for your leader. (3x always on is better than 3.5x not turned on when you need it.) And consider pairing a different ally leader; green Odin is of limited usefulness and is 100% NOT what you want for a dungeon that needs high spike damage. My Valkyrie is a good choice, or if you're feeling adventurous you might even take my dark Izanami. EDIT: One last strategy tip: Rainbow teams are usually not a good choice because they can't stack enough damage when the right orbs don't stack and you can't stall effectively at all. Build a team focused on elements that will give you an advantage in the specific dungeon you're going into. |
7x6 boards are AWESOME! ouo
=/ whats up with the mobile version of PADherder 3:< the team building/editing doesn't work.. how come PADX and Padherder haven't been adding the new japanese ultievos? o3o I forget when but I saw a while back (months ago) that Okuninushi had a new ulti that looked wicked so I kept my extra of him, and Archedemon Lucifer has a new ulti that seems cool ono i wanna make that when it comes to the US ooo fire jewel from pal machine <3 |
@DK
Yes, I forgot to update that, all three final stage ones I have have been feed tamadas. @Code Okay, I'll work on leveling Hera then, and as it is I don't have all that many gods to work with to be honest. ^^; The other gods I have are guan yu (yes, lower case), The Norn Urd, Alrescha, Viper Orochi, Neptune (already mentioned him), The Norn Verdandi, Archangel Michael, Sacred Dragon King Saiga (he does have a final form that's god type if I remember right), Armored Blue Blade Arcline, Heavenly Herald Archangel, White Coach Princess Cinderella, Amaterasu, Divivegon, Goddess of Power Kali, and Hades. I'd like to have at least a little mix up, like maybe Light/Fire/Water or Dark/Fire/Water but its hard figuring what combo of skills to match up, some of them I hardly ever use. I'd REALLY like to get Lucifer though, that's a kick-ass skill. owo |
All-light and all-dark tend to work out best because (almost) nothing resists those types, so you can hit for at least neutral damage.
Santa Hera might not be the BEST idea since she's Fire element and Ocean of Heaven is water/light. But if you don't have better, it's workable. I'm starting to see that your problem is actually that you haven't spent the effort to get your monsters evolved. Maybe you could run a Water-heavy team: Neptune, Orochi, and Alrescha are a good start. Do you have Plesios? That would be a good leader; I'd be happy to put my own Plesios out for you to use as an ally. |
For ocean, i try green/light/dark teams she never dropped for me.. now that the dungeon is a tech one , i might have a better chance....
Oh! Having something that gets rid of poision orbs might help.. her poisons always kill ed me in the coin version o3o, dk be taking chester with her once dk unlocks ocean |
Alrescha has poison orb conversion!
Top Droidragon has 3x poison resist awakenings AND the perfect active skill for this dungeon, but... well, it's a dungeon that doesn't come up often enough. :( |
I have its evoed form, Icedragon Plesios. And the reason why I don't have anything evolved is because I was trying to evo my god team. >>;
|
Either of Icedragon Plesios's uvos would be worth doing (obviously the harder one to do is better). Icedragon Depth Plesios (the easier one) would help with your RCV, which I'm sure you'd appreciate. What other water-element monsters do you have that you could fill in that last sub slot with? Doesn't have to be God-type with Plesios as a leader.
|
Distant Sea Talent Ruka, Endless Blue Dragon Caller Sonia, Devil of the Dpeths Kraken, Double-edge Blade Brave Claymore, Aurora Dragon, and things that don't have ultimates are Beach Cafe Waitress High Water Ninja (max level), Shaved Ice Specialist Frost Demon, Solomon Grundy, Mermaid and Frost Devil. I also have a sea serpent that I haven't decided if I want to keep or not. ^^;
Edit: Also, just message me in PAD what one so that I can add it in during work. |
I just realized the dragon team i just built.. has 3 mons that change poison and/or jammer orbs o3o
I ran it in a tech dungeon, these mons are barely leveled or even evolved https://www.padherder.com/user/Demonskid/teams/#205526 o-o a new team, barely worked on and it survived Paradise of Beauty and Love from the Hill of Iris's Rainbow tech dungeon series.. My devil team couldn't win in there (that's barely leveled and worked on as well) I need to find out what leader i used last night with that team.. x3 i liked that lead.. |
That's an interesting dragon team. o.o
|
OuO I know right!? I gotta level and evolve it up for when I get Ancient Ocean unlocked ouo
I'm now at the start of the 50stamina costing ones =o= total redic, gonna take me a few weeks to get there.. D:< Satan Descend SUCKS!
