I worked there over the summer... made like no money.... so i have been trying to get a new one... then my class load this semester was super hard and my parents were fine with me not having a job.... but anywho... i have awesome knives now! XD
LOL don't you still get paid by base pay even if you couldn't sell anything
Yea... but the office here sucks... and everyone here already owns it and most people don't even have time to do a showing.... and the the people at the office get all pissed and are like well obviously you aren't trying hard enough... it sucked so much.
Mine is quite the opposite, we get to go out once in a while with the other reps, and we have support, contests, tips, and tricks of the trade type of thing. And hence we are the top office in the western region.
My problem is that I don't have any "M.A.C" people to do the showing and if I did my demos and needed recommendations they only give me 1 or 2. Everyone I know is in thier early 20's go to school, live with their parents, and basically broke. and since the economy is hard no one wants to buy knive, but they want to get a Starbucks coffe everyday for a week (which that can afford the knives by itself.) |
That sucks... For me most of the people I know here are family members and my mom refused to let me talk to them and do demos for them... So I had to ask friends about their parents... it was really hard...
all of my sales were at my place so screw going to their place XD. My mom bought a LOT of stuff from them through me and another person bought a small pocket knife and that was it.
All of my family members live across the country, screw the idea of knowing my neighbors (I'm one of the only English spoken person in the complex, and they don't recommend selling knives to people who live in apartments). |
That's true... Yea my mom was super unsupportive of me doing it... she didn't like the idea of me going door to door and being a sales person... she wouldn't even let me practice on her or any one in my family it was really harsh. and they basically were upset with me and just freaked out about me trying to live my own life...
It's not actually door to door. My mom was happy about me having a job, but all throws in the "you can't solely live off of this" quote, in the retailing industry in this economy it's very hard for someone to say "I need this" they all say that their broke and they can't afford good quality knives.
I know that it's not... but my mom is irrational and doesn't want to listen to anything... so after a month when i hadn't really done anything they said that my trial period was up and that i needed to find a real job.
for me this like a little thing to get some sort of money and I'm trying to find a real job and I hope my sister pays me for babysitting her son
Yea that's the main way that i earn money is babysitting my friend's kids and my cousin's little kids and my mom's cousins' kids... it's crazy and slightly crappy i need to find a new job.
I don't have a job at all, and I watch my nephew sometimes, but no pay XD.
That's what I'm afraid that's what it'll end up being changing poopy diapers for nothing >:I
My nephew is almost seven though, no poopy diapers at least XD.
The worst time is around 2 or 3 during potty training...
I have a hard time watching other people's kids. I respect anyone that can do it. I wish I could find a well paying writing job though. That'd be great!
