None of his family is deaf, but they want him to be in the deaf culture, so they need to all learn sign.

Lunaryon 09-10-2011 02:26 PM

hey. they're all learning something new, at the very least.

Airina 09-10-2011 02:32 PM

True. but they are all really supportive

Lunaryon 09-10-2011 02:34 PM

That's good that they are supportive.

Lunaryon 09-10-2011 02:35 PM

that's good that they are all supportive then.

Airina 09-10-2011 02:37 PM

Yeah it really is.

Lioshika 09-10-2011 08:59 PM

@___@ Please don't remind me of the deaf culture and sign language.

I had bad experiences with the lot.

Serra Britt 09-10-2011 09:16 PM

I can see having some bad experiences Liosh, but you haven't met every single deaf person >.>;

Lioshika 09-10-2011 09:38 PM

No I know, but I just tend to avoid the whole situation.

Lunaryon 09-10-2011 10:28 PM

Wait? What? You avoid the deaf to avoid possible bad experiances?

Lioshika 09-10-2011 10:39 PM

I've had bad experiences, so I avoid all situations.

Lunaryon 09-10-2011 10:59 PM

... I don't think that's very healthy.

Airina 09-11-2011 02:07 AM

What happened Lio? If you don't mind me asking?

Lauv Keiko 09-11-2011 11:17 AM

Lunaryon 09-11-2011 02:25 PM

Missed her here too.

Lioshika 09-11-2011 08:27 PM

Uh, our class and when we had substitutes who were deaf. . . She was an absolute bitch, the one. She expected us to understand her. Second day of class of the beginner course.

Serra Britt 09-11-2011 08:39 PM

That's like an elementary school substitute teacher coming in and not speaking the native language, and wondering why no one understands.

I would want to say the particular teacher you had is not typical of deaf people, but I don't know. I've met a few deaf people, and only one of them seemed obnoxious. She seemed to be that way to get attention though.

Lioshika 09-11-2011 08:42 PM

-Shrugs.- I had some people as customers who shrugged me off before I could do a thing.

Serra Britt 09-11-2011 08:43 PM

That sounds annoying to deal with :/ Most of the deaf people I have encountered were also customers.

Lioshika 09-11-2011 08:44 PM

Mhm. So now I just figure to hell with it. Regardless of who, if someone is rude that's it, I won't be more than basic nice.

Serra Britt 09-11-2011 08:51 PM

I'd do that anyways. I always want to give someone a chance, but repeat customers who are rude don't get much respect from me.

Lioshika 09-11-2011 09:00 PM

Ditto. I get very grr when they repeatedly bitches.

Serra Britt 09-11-2011 09:02 PM

I mean...if you don't like the store, why return? Unless you like bitching in which case I'll be happy to bitch right back.

Lioshika 09-11-2011 09:23 PM

Exactly. Gotta love it huh?

Serra Britt 09-11-2011 09:40 PM

I know, as store representatives, one should not be mean to customers, but if they come a lot and are rude each time I can't see them as customers anymore.

Lioshika 09-11-2011 09:58 PM

Exactly. But when the hell will people learn.

Serra Britt 09-11-2011 10:00 PM

They usually don't. That's the problem :p

The people who DO learn usually become good customers though.

Lioshika 09-11-2011 10:21 PM

Yeah, usually.

-yawns.-
