Tonight what happened which pushed me over the edge. I was downstairs making a snack for myself, and Elijah followed me like he always does. I was busy making my snack and all of a sudden I hear this scary, loud, mean, about to go crazy on my cat bark from my mom's dog. Eli must have gone close to the dog's food. But, I didn't care, the dog should NEVER bark like that at the cat. As far as I know, Elijah could have been at the water dish which is next to the food dish. So, shaking, I laid into the dog and gave him hell, I screamed at him, telling him to never bark at my cat like that.
He slinked off, I went to where my cat was hiding (he did hiss at the dog) and sat there petting him, calmly saying things to him and kind of scolded him for going near the dog's food. But, I spoiled him afterwards and gave him some cat nip ^^"
I told my boyfriend about it and his response was "cant anythign good ever happen to you" which I told him I didn't know. :/

I find a lot of the times between the USA and Canada there will be the same products but different versions. For example, things like cherry 7-UP. 7-UP cans in Europe still have Fido Dido on them. ;)

Yeah, like they do have American companies in Europe, but the food is different and they would have stuff in the places that cater to the local tastes.

No thankfully. I just got upset over it because it sounded like the dog was going to hurt my cat.
I f'ng hate this jerk-off my mom has over still. He found it hilarious that the dog flipped out like that. He also finds it funny to joke about saying he's "going to skin the m-fers and cook them" for peeing where they shouldn't (outside the box)
I was going to eat some pierogies for dinner. But, the comment about skinning the cats turned into a screaming match between him and I and I went up to bed. I cannot bring myself to eat, I'm too angry. He still kept laughing his ass off about the dog flipping out on my cat. I sat there crying. I said something I regret saying, I hope not to get bad karma over it. But, he pushed me to it and I refuse to apologise for the screaming I did. You don't joke about these things about my cat. He pushed me to scream. I hate yelling like that. I really do.

Serena - don't worry he'll get his. Who knows? Maybe someone will skin and eat him. Stranger things have happened.

Now I'm a little paranoid Mike will be upset at me because I sent him a text saying that I didn't eat dinner, the a-hole pushed me too far, too mad to eat. I'm paranoid he'll be upset at me that I didn't eat dinner.

He might well be laughing because of your reaction, and getting that angry annoyed about it is likely to encourage him. Not that I don't understand, it's probably more frustrating than I imagine.

I ask about the dog and cat because if it is something your cat is doing that is setting off the dog, just yelling at the dog won't fix things. As much as one might dislike an pet, consideration needs to be given to all animals by every person to make for smoother living.

Of course Mike will be upset, but it's like it's really your fault is it! He's mad at the situation not at you you silly goose!

I really don't care. he can go right ahead and laugh. He's just an immature 41yr old spoiled rotten child.

I am very touchy with the comments he made and such about my cat because I almost lost him last year. This time last year, Elijah was starting to fall into his diabetes (we didn't know he was diabetic till June last year) and he was losing a lot of weight and was getting sick. I remember the way he was in June and it scared the crap out of me. I know he's fine now and has been reacting well to his insulin treatment. But, I still am touchy because I almost lost him. And I'm still mourning the loss of my black female cat who died in October. So, talking about skinning my cats and then continue to make the comment that my cat is the meatiest healthy one for eating? I don't take that crap from anyone. I don't care if he was joking, he didn't sound like it and no one gets away with "joking" about harming my cat. no one.

normally the dog and the cats interact just fine. Except my cat hisses at the dog and swats at him. My cat hates dogs. Always has. Always will, and nothing will change Eli. Eli is just too old and set in his ways.

What sucks is I'm hungry, but I don't want to go downstairs and deal with him. Or my mother.

It has. I'm doing better and Mike was happy I did eat something before bed. I also had a very nice day today.
Found out the a-hole has a new job and won't be here often... till he gets himself fired again. -.-
But, tomorrow I'm spending the day/night with my dad. ^^ Yay tormenting him while his girlfriend and I watch bride shows on TLC :p

My dad was visiting us for a week - but he left for back home today. :( I will miss the big lug.

I normally spend some weekend days with my dad at his girlfriend's when Mike works till 5 on Friday or during the weekend. ^^ I like it there, it's a bit calmer and is smoke free.
Plus I bond with awesome little kitten :)
I think Saturday my dad and I want to try to go to a pancake house and get buckwheat pancakes. We wanted to Friday... But, my mom's truck is still a pos and my dad has to take her to work.
That is if she goes to work tomorrow.
