I just plain hate phones. x'P

Toriki 07-29-2010 09:09 PM

I don't hate the phones themselves, but I do hate talking on one. :D

Sei 07-29-2010 09:10 PM

I just hate, like you said Zypher, when people keep calling and calling for no apparent reason and don't even bother to leave messages. 800 numbers have been calling non-stop all day here, and I've just turned the ringer off so that I could ignore them. D':

I don't mind talking on one, though. :'3

Zypher 07-29-2010 09:11 PM

I don't like them in the least. They're noisy, and too often abused. People these days don't have phone etiquette either and don't even know how to answer a phone properly, never mind call at appropriate hours.

Most people anyway, not everyone. Just most.

Sei 07-29-2010 09:15 PM

I agree, Zypher. Totally and completely.

^ This.

I love you Zypher... marry me. XDDD

Everything you say about phones, I fully agree with. I don't like them in the least. Sometimes I wonder why I even have a cell phone.

Zypher 07-29-2010 09:18 PM

I don't even have an active cellphone anymore. My ex used to harass me by calling until my time ran out without any consideration of cost. Why? Because it didn't cost him anything, but it cost me for him to leave messages and inflate my inbox until it couldn't hold anymore messages.. Why? Because I didn't want to talk to him at that moment. .-.;

And to think I felt this way about phones BEFORE I got into a relationship with him. Aye yai yai.

Sei 07-29-2010 09:18 PM

Marriages of love over hatred of phones? My, my... XD

Aww... that sucks hard, Zypher. :/

Edit 2: Yay, 700th post! Whoo!

Zypher 07-29-2010 09:19 PM

I've seen stranger things. Like a guy marrying his favorite video game character. Yep...

johnny 07-29-2010 09:23 PM

No one ever calls me.

So my hatred of phones stems from my shyness and poor speaking abilities. ._.

Zypher 07-29-2010 09:25 PM

I was shy when I was younger, before i started highschool, and I used to stutter a lot since i didn't use my voice on a daily basis.

I still have the occasional stutter, but it's no where near as bad as it used to be. But even back then no one noticed me stutter unless I pointed it out.

Muff Muff 07-29-2010 09:26 PM

I too agree about the cell phone thing. :I Though I do text a lot. lol

Sei; lol Yay for firsts! I wanted to have the first something on here. ;w;

Toriki 07-29-2010 09:26 PM

@Jonon: My case, I have a hard time hearing things over the phones. TT_TT I just. . . can't seems to hear the pronunciations clearly and always ended up answer off-topic.

@Zy: :o Marry his game character? How?

Sei 07-29-2010 09:27 PM

*calls up johnny* :'D Helloooooooooo?

I'm shy, but usually can hold it together when I'm on the phone.

I stutter and use "um" and "like" a lot.

A lot of people think that stuttering and those "um/er/uh" pauses in speech mean the person speaking is unintelligent, and I've always been sort of afraid of them thinking that of me. Even though I could probably whip up a fairly eloquent speech on any number of subjects, if I have to actually speak I sound like I have a vocabulary equal to that of a third-grader. So I don't talk.

Zypher 07-29-2010 09:35 PM

I don't use um and like, I just repeat words once or twice in a row as my brain functions far faster than my mouth does, that and I sometimes loose my voice since I rarely, if ever, use it.

johnny 07-29-2010 09:39 PM

Oh, and on the phone I have a habit of completely freezing during a conversation. Especially if the person I'm talking to is someone official like a bank or my school. I'll just reach a point in the conversation where it's as if I've totally lost the ability to speak English, and I can't think of any words at all.

That's only on the phone, though. I generally don't do that when I'm talking to people face to face, because I find the phone far more intimidating than regular conversations.

Zypher 07-29-2010 09:42 PM

I have a soft voice so people who don't listen or aren't paying attention don't hear me, so as a result, repeating myself has become a pet peeve. Though if I raise my voice it sounds and feels as if I'm yelling. They don't seem to think so, but they don't spend most of their time listening. They usually spend it shouting.

Faye 07-29-2010 09:48 PM

Upon seeing the post at the very top of the page, this has to be said: I hate phones. .__. They're a horrible, horrible invention unless used for emergencies or for very long distance.

johnny 07-29-2010 09:48 PM

Someone once told me I have a gay voice.

I don't even know what that means.

:c

Faye 07-29-2010 09:50 PM

John:
Hurhur.

xD

Sei 07-29-2010 09:53 PM

When I go to work and work in the drive thru, I get called ma'am more often than sir. I guess I have an effeminate voice? TwwwT

johnny 07-29-2010 09:56 PM

I think I just sound like a little kid most of the time.

Apparently I look like a fifteen-year-old, according to my mom's friends. And people at stores.

I betcha it's the lack of boobs. :C

AceValkyrie 07-29-2010 09:59 PM

your lucky johnny D: people think I am 18-20 because of mines

Zypher 07-29-2010 10:01 PM

People think I'm around sixteen until they look at my eyes. my eyes are very sharp, as I've had to glare my way through many years of my life for [insert reason here]. So if I have my eyes covered they think I'm a teenager but whenever I take my glasses off, their train of thought changes.

-eye roll-

Faye 07-29-2010 10:02 PM

Used to have no boobs until about... the year before last? >w>; My mom says I'm hanging out with my best friend too much (she has a giant rack).

johnny 07-29-2010 10:03 PM

I have the soft, confused eyes of a blue-eyed bunny. D:

Zypher 07-29-2010 10:04 PM

I have narrow green ones. x'D

AceValkyrie 07-29-2010 10:12 PM

lol xD The way people can tell I am a teenager is when they look at my face >_>

Faye 07-29-2010 10:14 PM

Green eyes. <3

People actually think I'm younger than I really am. Probably because I'm (slightly) vertically challenged.

Sei 07-29-2010 10:22 PM

I'm tall, but most people still think I'm two years younger than I am. >.>;

Duchess 07-29-2010 10:22 PM

aparently people think i'm older than i really am... I keep getting alcoholic drinks O_o even though im only 17

AceValkyrie 07-29-2010 10:25 PM

lol xD people think your 21?

Faye 07-29-2010 10:29 PM

Duchess:
I would have to try very hard not to take advantage of that.

Sei 07-29-2010 10:30 PM

Well, I'm off for the night guys! I have to be at work in seven hours. :'3

Faye 07-29-2010 10:32 PM

Night, Sei~

Duchess 07-29-2010 10:35 PM

Yes they do D8

Since I was small, I've been used to ordering pina coladas and them serving me the virgin one without me saying it... but now.. If I dont specify.. they just give me alcohol XDD
Or give me the acoholic beverage menu, when I don't even need it..

And the only time I've abused it, was to order shots *shot*... Alcohol doesnt seem to affect me xD

Zypher 07-29-2010 10:39 PM

I'm not vertically challenged, I'm space efficient.

And due to my stature I tend to appear slightly taller than I really am. However, as short as I am, if people aren't paying attention or if I'm not in a bad mood they don't tend to notice where I'm at.
