My mom says it's rubbery when it's not well made. She won't even cook it because she's afraid of not doing it well xD

Serra Britt 02-20-2018 12:48 AM

I'm sure some octopus and calamari is good, I just don't trust it. I have had some good mushrooms though.

mdom 02-20-2018 01:03 AM

Yeah it's pretty hard to find a good place. She never trusts it either xD

Den 02-20-2018 01:07 AM

With octopus, you either have to cook it really quickly on high heat, or cook it low and slow. anything else gives you rubbery.

Serra Britt 02-20-2018 01:09 AM

I still want to at least try takoyaki. So far I have not found a place that sells it? Or maybe I'm just not looking hard enough.

Den 02-20-2018 01:32 AM

Most sushi places should sell it... but I could be wrong. There's also recipes online...

Are you not looking forward to your birthday, Kitty?

Nah I am. It's the getting older part I don't look forward to as much. XD

Den 02-20-2018 01:50 AM

Growing older is mandatory. "Growing up" is optional! :D

Tam I am 02-20-2018 04:35 AM

Nobody grows up. We just learn how to act in public.

tsukiko 02-20-2018 07:15 AM

SOME learn how to act in public.... xD

mdom 02-20-2018 11:27 AM

hehehe true, tsukiko!

tsukiko 02-20-2018 01:58 PM

a lot of people don't know how to act or raise their own children =_=

Serra Britt 02-20-2018 06:05 PM

What's this "grow up" thing y'all are talking about? I like being young, thanks XD

tsukiko 02-20-2018 07:04 PM

*rolls around, tired* sick of staring at the computer screen...*sighs*

Den 02-20-2018 07:27 PM

there are people who should not have had children, I'll agree. and there are people who would be amazing parents, but for whatever reason, are childless. And then there're people like me, who have no interest in being parents for whatever reason, but get demonized because we're not adding to the overpopulation problem.

Tam I am 02-20-2018 10:38 PM

At least people have finally stopped asking me when I'm having kids.

I wonder if carrying around dolls helped them with that?

https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/2409...re-creator-kit Sephy, Serra, LOOK.

Den 02-20-2018 10:41 PM

Maybe. I wish my gyno would just lemme get a surgery so I don't have the junk to have kids.

Tam I am 02-20-2018 10:48 PM

I used to wish that. Now I just hope menopause hurries up and finishes the job.

tsukiko 02-20-2018 11:21 PM

ugh...i hate when your lunch runs straight the
rough you....*curls back into bed, crying*

Den 02-20-2018 11:29 PM

*gentle cuddles for Sephy*

Tam I am 02-21-2018 12:06 AM

*sympathetic hug for Sephy*

tsukiko 02-21-2018 11:40 AM

i'm feeling better with the sleep. no worries. going back to working on the new knuffel...

mdom 02-21-2018 01:41 PM

Good luck!
also yay for sleep making things better.

tsukiko 02-21-2018 02:13 PM

just finished a stage, so only 2 left to do xD it's so much easier working backwards, as in starting with the final image and then just taking away layers and/or simplifying elements. the first two i did, i worked from stage 0 to final and it was a pain in the ass =_=

Tam I am 02-21-2018 03:36 PM

That does sound like it'd be easier, now that I think of it.

tsukiko 02-21-2018 04:44 PM

yuuuup and now she's all done ^__^ i'll prolly start the next one on sat or sun

Serra Britt 02-21-2018 05:22 PM

Tam that BJD was 3-D printed? Wooooow O__O

And yay Sephy ^_^

Tam I am 02-21-2018 05:53 PM

Sephy is a dolly maker on fire.

Serra, yes. I can't remember, was this the link I showed you guys? There's a grown up version too, and also one with a centaur body. On all of them you can choose hands, arms, feet, legs, head, face. They're totally customizable, for less than half the price of a resin one, and a lot easier to take care of.

And if you needed one painted, Den does good faces. *glances over at the little elf she painted for me years ago*

Serra Britt 02-21-2018 06:08 PM

Tam yes. And the price seems extremely reasonable for a partly custom BJD.

I'm extremely tempted XD

tsukiko 02-21-2018 06:25 PM

*favorites that etsy shop* xD can't afford one atm, but i love the fact she has fox options....though it took me a minute to realize that she meant digi when she referred to the "horse" legs. it really confused me and i thought she mislabeled all the top row of legs

mdom 02-21-2018 08:33 PM

3D printed options are the future, really o3o

Den 02-21-2018 10:32 PM

I still want the spider girl on Thingiverse.

tsukiko 02-21-2018 10:50 PM

makes me kinda want a 3d printer. but i expect they are still really expensive. and i don't know the first thing about working one bwahahahaaa!

Tam I am 02-21-2018 11:03 PM

Yes, Den. Koprinia must live, now that you've made her real. LOL

I want one of the kid dolls. *goes to look at how tall they are*

Serra Britt 02-21-2018 11:11 PM

Yes I bookmarked that shop too XD
I didn't even have to look at the options to know I wanted one someday.

Tam I am 02-21-2018 11:18 PM

A bit over four inches for the kids, or maybe nearly five. And the adults are almost seven. Around 6.5. So a nice manageable size.

tsukiko 02-21-2018 11:33 PM

but not tall enough for me....bwahahahaahha! i'll still prolly get one though. wonder if she can make them slightly taller...

Den 02-22-2018 01:37 AM

I don't know anything about making a 3D printer work, but I know where I can go to have stuff printed. I just have to save up to get Koprina's body printed out, and to get her head from a different site.
