ROFLMAO! no pinching! you a gently poke or gently squeeze xD

Serra Britt 02-16-2018 09:45 PM

-gentle Sephy pokes-

:s-love:

Den 02-16-2018 09:54 PM

Sephy is squeaky toy.

mdom 02-16-2018 10:43 PM

xDD ok ok!!
I'll gently squeeze then!

Den 02-16-2018 11:21 PM

*burrows into her blanket nest*

EverAshwood 02-17-2018 12:22 PM

*hugs tsukiko, giving multiple, gentle squeezes for the squeaks*

Tam I am 02-17-2018 09:53 PM

*brings in savoury cornbread to share with everyone, with lots of cheese mixed in it*

Serra Britt 02-17-2018 10:40 PM

Ooooooo!

That sounds amazing Tam :D

Tam I am 02-17-2018 10:52 PM

It's also still hot enough to melt butter. Cornbread is good very slightly soggy from being buttered.

Serra Britt 02-17-2018 11:05 PM

Oh yes I totally agree with that.

Tam I am 02-17-2018 11:21 PM

XD. I don't make my cornbread sweet at all, either. Just corn, cheese, bit of salt, and the butter for flavours.

Serra Britt 02-17-2018 11:23 PM

I like all forms of cornbread as long as it's not bone dry :D

Tam I am 02-17-2018 11:37 PM

Nah. The stuff my mom made wasn't dry unless she made a mistake. She's Canadian, but she made it good enough to make my Dad happy with it.

Den 02-17-2018 11:42 PM

I'm used to cornbread from a mix... I just slather it with butter.

Serra Britt 02-18-2018 12:04 AM

I would always use a mix too. Came out pretty good and didn't dry out if it was eaten same day.

Den 02-18-2018 12:09 AM

I wanna try making it from scratch someday. Cornbread, and polenta. I know how to make champurrado now...

tsukiko 02-18-2018 05:08 AM

i'm usually too lazy to make cornbread from scratch, but when i make mine (scratch or from a mix) i add in a can of corn. gives it just a bit more "umph"

mmmmm champurrado. only had that from a mix too, but i expect it's super easy from scratch if you can find the right kind of rice xD

Serra Britt 02-18-2018 04:44 PM

Adding in corn to cornbread works wonders XD
Just makes it a whole new thing really.

Tam I am 02-18-2018 06:52 PM

Yeah, we never added fresh corn. But Mom's stayed nice for a long time, if we kept it in a plastic food bag. Well, and no little tiny ninjas ran off with it and ate it.

I miss it, polenta, and grits.

tsukiko 02-18-2018 07:49 PM

growing up, my mom would add in a can of creamed corn. that stuff on its own is close to one of the nastiest thing on the shelf, but in cornbread...it made it so rich and moist. do they even make creamed corn anymore? anyway, regular corn is good, but there was just something about the nasty can of the creamed xD

Den 02-18-2018 08:12 PM

I've had cornbread with corn in it... and I just can't. the difference in textures bugs the spit outta me (yay, autism-related food issues), and I can't stand canned corn anyway.

tsukiko 02-18-2018 08:23 PM

*nods* i fully understand the textural thing. it's why i'm such a picky eater myself. was just discussing this with my sister a couple days ago. i bought a bag of mini coconut chocolate candy things and gave her a few. she piped up "i thought you hated coconut or has your taste changed?" i still hate most coconut, can't stand shredded coconut, especially when it's ruining a perfectly delicious german chocolate cake with it's nasty stringy-ness or mucking up easter festivities with its dyed green nest of nasty xD and i'm not really a fan of fresh coconut or curls of it...but i like coconut milk, coconut water, coconut scented things, coconut candy when the coconut is minced super fine. it's the long strings of it that...blegh. i've always been that way, but she doesn't really pay attention to details like that. she just in the past heard "hate" and "coconut" and nothing else lol...

there are other foods that i get that way with too, so yeah as i said...i understand that whole texture thing xD

mdom 02-18-2018 09:26 PM

me, a non-cooking person, how can a cornbread not have corn? xD

Serra Britt 02-18-2018 09:32 PM

It has cornmeal, ground up corn basically.

Texture is super important too, so anyone who dismisses other's preference on it needs to rethink things.

Den 02-18-2018 09:37 PM

As in actual kernels of corn, Mdom. I don't mind the cornmeal.

mdom 02-18-2018 10:30 PM

oooh right xD as I said, I don't really know much about cooking ^^ I knew it had corn, but not sure in which form.

Den 02-18-2018 11:09 PM

I'm weird about food textures...

mdom 02-18-2018 11:24 PM

My bff is like that too. He doesn't eat jello.

Den 02-18-2018 11:52 PM

I don't eat canned corn, pears, peppers, raw onions (they have to be caramelized until they're golden brown), or tamago sushi.

Serra Britt 02-19-2018 12:03 AM

I don't like it when things are rubbery (looking at YOU, mushrooms) but for the most part I'm pretty chill about what I eat.

KittyBeary 02-19-2018 02:36 AM

This month is short. Which means my birthday's creeping up faster. ;u;

Ah, so you prolly wouldn't like octopus sushi, then. it tends to be pretty chewy.

tsukiko 02-19-2018 07:00 AM

octopi is chewy (i've been forced to eat it in various forms before, still do not like xD )

and when's your birthday, kitty? serra's and mine are creeping closer too LOL!

Serra Britt 02-19-2018 09:41 AM

Den, pretty much. The one time I had octopus, it was like chewing on a rubber band. I *might* go for takoyaki since it's supposed to be cut up really small, but otherwise I stay far away from octopus or calamari now.

Are you not looking forward to your birthday, Kitty?

tsukiko 02-19-2018 02:12 PM

*rolls around* damn snow....it came again today..

Serra Britt 02-19-2018 04:35 PM

The weather can get it out of it's system so we can be snow free at the end of March.

Tam I am 02-19-2018 08:01 PM

Send all your mushrooms and tako to me. :D

Den 02-19-2018 08:06 PM

Naw, split it between Tam and me. :D

tsukiko 02-19-2018 11:37 PM

all the shrooms and seafolks are yours for the fighting...

Serra Britt 02-20-2018 12:09 AM

Yeah take the rubbery stuff off my hands, please.
