Today was better, Toho! Got up at 4:40a (to go into work for 5:30a) and worked until past 7p - get home around 7:30, shower, eat, post a bit. Finally will fall asleep probably around 10p or so... and have to be up at 4:40a again tomorrow for a longer day (will probably be until around 11p or so). @w@;;
My job really sucks sometimes... Oh, hi Alpha and Tiva! :3 |
Lololol. I know right, Alpha? :D
What do you do for work, Sei? :o My reply will be...slow. Uploading commons as I do homework. :) |
I work at convention/business center. We work at with the flow of events so we don't have out times - we're done and out when the work is complete. Sometimes that means really short days, and sometimes it means really long days.
|
That doesn't sound too bad minus when it's really busy. So what sort of work? Administrative or something? :o
Lololol. I know right, Alpha? 8D |
No, unfortunately I'm the grunt work person. xD
|
he's the face people complain to >.>
|
Well, at least you have a job....I've been trying unsuccessfully to find one (part or full time) for the past two months...it's driving me rather insane and stressing me out. *sighs*
Anyways, hi Sei! |
Yeah, although it's not my dream job I am in no hurry to rush into anything else. It's a full time job with benefits and health insurance, which is important to me.
I wish you the best of luck in the job search, Alpha! :'D |
I feel your pain Alpha. I have been looking for one now for the better of two months as well and yet nothing. Its stressing the hubby and I out because he goes back to school at the end of april and then all we will have is his ei unless I find a job...no stress hey lol

What would be your ideal job, Sei? :o |
Nice, can't complain about the benefits and health insurance. Thanks. I'm applying pretty much anywhere and everywhere I can find an opening for.
Pinkie, I definitely feel that. Wish you the best of luck. To finding a job! *raises a glass in toast* |
I know it may sound odd, but I have found that in the event of not being able to find a job, may I suggest making your own...at least so as to pay for food/shelter. I know one person who worked there way into being a full time webcomic-er, getting enough donations so as to make some form of living.
(Is not trying to be naive or say such a thing is an end-all, just adding an option) |
My ideal job, Ari? I would love to be an admin/mod on a big site like Gaia, where I can get paid to do what I do now (only more of it). That would be a dream come true.
Offline, you say? Well, I don't really know for sure, but something where I exercise my mind more than my legs and back; someplace I can be creative and work with a bunch of cool people. Good luck on jobs, everyone! |
On Gaia? But what about us here at Trisphee? Don't you love us? <3
Also, I thought you were a moderator on Gaia before? o3o Or are you talking about being a different type of moderator? What would that entail? |
I'm sure he doesn't mean Gaia specifically...just a site that big. Possibly Tris if we are ever able to grow and expand to that point.
*nods* Exercising the mind more than the body can certainly be attractive, especially given what you've said your job is right now. *hugs Sei* Best wishes that you are able to find something like that! Law, I've thought of that and am working on it...mainly just website design using Wordpress and other tools. *shrugs* It's nothing overly fancy but if I can learn it it would be at least a survivable source of income. |

...and yes, I was a mod on Gaia before, but I was never a paid admin, which is what my dream job would be. xP Quote:
