You seem to be doing pretty darn well for a squid though, Merskelly.

my father's fine. he has plans to retire, but given how things are going, that's gonna do a fat lot of good. /s gotta love how my YTer brother also says the r slur isn't a slur and he can use it because he supposedly has bipolar. i don't think he does, else he would be on medication to control a few things, and yet he's *supposedly* allergic to lithium. if not for medication, then he'd be in therapy. hey, have you perhaps TRIED ASKING THE THOUSANDS OF MENTALLY / PHYSICALLY DISABLED PEOPLE ON THEIR OPINION ON THE SLUR? (also, no, you can't exactly reclaim that one.) |

"Okay, first, what's half of 10%?" e-e "ffffiiiive percent??" "Good and then what's 5% times 37?" e~e;;; "...15..35..183?? 'S not how it works." ;n; "I wanna give up living in this dimension then." "Well, too bad, we haven't figured out a way to safely cross into another one yet. You know why? We gotta use math to destroy math!" x} "hehe, I used the stones to destroy the stones!" (Yeh, this was sorta a typical discussion we sometimes have.) |
5% isn't 0.5, it's 0.05, but I digress
|
Iiiii mean I wasn't gonna say anything >.>;
|
We have a tutoring thread... somewhere. If you ever need math help.
|
mers: i'm not good at math and i know i'm not good at math so i'm gonna preface this with i'm not good at math
everyone else: YO UR BAD @ MATH lmao please, looking at this thread has killed me |
i'm so bad at maths i just accepted that it was .5%
|
... .5% would be 0.5/100 = 0.005...

I... could have sworn there was a centralized tutoring thread. Hrm. Anyways, they generally go in Central Square.

I need to sleep, but have to leave at 4:45 AM and to sit in a waiting room the entire day. But somehow drive home without sleep.
|
nap in the waiting room?
|
I drink coffee and tea hooray
And I hear cherry tea is supposed to help with anxiety so I'm gonna see about getting some ;u; |
The waiting room isn't really presenting any possibility of napping opportunities.
|
did get confirmation from my brother that any crackling from the, uh. adapter to my laptop is due to it not being connected properly, so the solution to that is to double check.
and confirmation that any screen glitches are due to the graphics drivers, so i have to keep those updated and restart if any glitches happen. |
Ehhh... depending on what you mean by screen glitches, blaming the driver may be a placebo.
|

but apparently he can't math either. <x'D AAAAAA! I'm wrong 100% of the time!!! |

He gets stuff wrong too I guess. ^~^;
This is why neither of us should be trusted with maths. x'D Or cooking! |

it gets fixed with a restart. |
If it gets fixed with a restart that does push the balance towards it being a driver issue, or at least if it is a hardware issue it's something that the driver can work around. That's why I said "depending".
|
sorry that i came off as aggressive there.
also, yeah, i'm chalking it up to a driver issue because i can't exactly afford to replace any hardware in this laptop. it hasn't happened for some time -- i'd imagine if it was a hardware issue, it'd happen somewhat consistently. |
Ah my old laptop. The hard drive went out, so I got another hard drive, but then the battery went out, but like, I'd already paid for a hard drive so I was like, okay, new battery, and then the charger went out, but I'd already paid for a hard drive and battery, so I was like, okay fine, new charger. And then... the new hard drive went out :')
|
it's possible to keep a laptop on, uh. on the charger, and remove the battery completely -- it pretty much turns it into a standard computer that can be moved, provided you switch it off first.
though, if you're like me and using a specific brand of universal charger that sometimes has the damn charger come out of the, uh. the connector to the port, then you're a bit screwed unless you figure out a way to have that not happen. |
I needed it to be portable for school and things, as in like, off the charger
|
yeah, i get you. i didn't/don't really use my laptop off the charger, mostly because of concerns about battery life.
on my old laptop (windows 7, i3 processor), the battery is starting to go. (i.e: windows 7 actually warning me about it and that there might be random shutoffs which can result in lost data. that's practically the only issue, other than it being a bit slow because of, y'know, a lot of junk stuff i kept on it.) i'm sort of planning to keep that for spare parts, y'know? |
Yeah I get you
|
also because i'm a bit of a hoarder and it's nice to have something that can be used as a spare.
|
"Spare parts" is generally not a thing for laptops, unfortunately. Basically everything is built onto the motherboard nowadays and even when it isn't it's not necessarily going to be compatible across different models. You can't necessarily even count on RAM being removable anymore. Mechanical hard drives are about the only part you can trust will be portable. SSDs aren't removable on most laptops.
About the only meaningful exception when it comes to parts is the display panel. Display panels of the same physical size and resolution can sometimes be interchanged. |
jeez. that fuckin sucks, considering people like doing modifications to their laptops and shit.
iirc, i think the laptop i had has around 600-700 GB of storage, so i could theoretically store a bunch of artwork on there if need be. the hard drive definitely isn't going yet, afaik. also, another problem, the amount of crumbs in the keyboard. eurhghghghg. |
>8D It's 5pm and it's dark as midnight outside!
D A R K N E S S ! ! ! |
it's, like. nearly 2 am for me.
|
Something is going wrong with my body and I can't figure out what it is..
And symptoms of my MI tell me, "You're dying. It's over. You've been infected and everyone and everything around you will die" |
Quote:
It could also be diet and stress levels. Irregular periods can be triggered by stress. Rashes can be caused by diet or by stress. And some food colorings can stay lingering in your urine. But if you've been eating the same stuff you always eat and your life has been fairly normal, this isn't especially likely. And even if it were... you should still see a doctor. |
yeah you should probably see a doctor / gynecologist about that.
|
>8'{ I'm going to go and watch some childhood sh*t to make me cry! <3!
