These were your regular middle aged Lesbians with the wife deciding she was unapreciated and sleeps with the guy who, ironically, was their sperm doner for both of their children. But they work things out in an, in my oppinion, unrealistic forgiven happy ending.

Never saw Brokeback. I was too young when it first came out... (gay pun not intended XD) I should rent it or something.

Brokeback Mountain was blown way out of proportion. I turned my eyes away a few times because I did'nt care to see certain scenes, but it was a good movie with a realistic look at Gay men in the 1950's-70's. However it is not a "gay rights" movie, or a "Feel good" movie. Its a realistic look at two men who have to hide the way they feel about each other from their families, friends, and even themselves with its iconic
"Ah wish ah' could quit you!" scene. It's worth watching, but dont expect to feel good or happy when its over. |
