Like sitting on fast growing bamboos overnight?

Biomecha 04-09-2019 05:09 PM

Yes! Perfect. Ordering seeds now. #ecofriendlytorture

mdom 04-09-2019 08:43 PM

I wonder if bamboos can grow through bone

Biomecha 04-09-2019 09:29 PM

Great idea! We can have fun experimenting. Maybe get some papers published on it.

Death by Mirrors 04-10-2019 04:40 AM

Tensile strength can vary from plant to plant, and of course from bone to bone, but comparing their average values... *evil smile*

daikokunyo 04-10-2019 05:38 AM

...what have i walked into :s-shock:

Biomecha 04-10-2019 08:30 PM

Oh cool, we have our first volunteer.

Espy 04-11-2019 06:18 AM

Bamboo would likely attempt to find the path of least resistance and go around the bone.

mdom 04-11-2019 10:50 AM

so bamboos would go out through the nose, mouth or ear... interesting. Eyes also an option.

Biomecha 04-11-2019 11:47 AM

That's why we need to experiment. To know for certain.

mdom 04-11-2019 07:23 PM

That's true.
Science is needed for useful things like that!

Biomecha 04-11-2019 08:47 PM

Apparently Mythbusters tested it but I don't remember the episode. They obviously could only go so far, though.

mdom 04-11-2019 11:32 PM

So not a real body then... That's an issue.

Biomecha 04-12-2019 01:17 AM

Yeah. Most people believe they ran out of myths to test. The truth is, ethics got in the way for a lot of others they could have tried. Such a shame.

daikokunyo 04-12-2019 06:45 AM

*screams bloodcurdlingly*

I shall not be your guinea pig! I'll fight for my pixel rights!

Espy 04-12-2019 03:43 PM

Bio, have you ever played Shadowrun: Hong Kong? There’s a certain character I think you’d like.

Biomecha 04-12-2019 07:36 PM

Hmm...I haven't heard of it, though I rarely play games. Usually point-and-click adventure types like Machinarium. Which character? I couldn't figure it out from the wiki list.

Espy 04-12-2019 08:25 PM

Racter. Russian transhumanist scientist with psychopathy, who placed his id into his murderbot named Koschei.

Biomecha 04-12-2019 11:26 PM

He sounds like a heckin cute robo-goodboye designed to do a protect. I like that it can't really be killed.

Espy 04-13-2019 02:35 AM

Koschei *can* be killed before you get the upgrade for him.

Also, if you're interested, I, uh, have a free copy?

daikokunyo 04-13-2019 08:36 AM

what kinds of videogames do you like, Espy? :s-awesome:

mdom 04-13-2019 12:36 PM

Sternum, we could never kill a bear.
Humans, on the other hand...

Biomecha 04-13-2019 05:30 PM

Espy: Sure, why not. I need to try some other games since I haven't had anything new for a while.

Yeah, animals will never be harmed here. Basically like John Wick without the cool fighting abilities.

Espy 04-14-2019 02:43 AM

I’ll clear out some space on my dropbox once I have time, and upload it. Might take me a bit.

Games I like, hmm... I’ll just list a few, since my game rec list is... quite expansive.

-Dishonored
-Dragon Age and Mass Effect
-Shadowrun
-Darkest Dungeon
-The Witcher
-Dragon’s Dogma
-Divinity: Original Sin
-Tyranny and Pillars of Eternity
- TES 3, 4, and 5
-This War of Mine, and Frostpunk
-Entire Fallout series

...a “few”.

mdom 04-15-2019 04:54 AM

Hey I could fight! Not with guns or punches, but I can say a mean comeback.

our likes in games are quite different, but i remember there was this nice play-by-post Dragon Age RP and i used to read along to it even tho i had no idea about the canon :D

Espy 04-16-2019 04:49 AM

Play-by-post?

daikokunyo 04-16-2019 11:11 AM

an RP in a forum;. one person posts an RP post, then the next. i've only seen the term used in RP forums though i think

Espy 04-16-2019 02:32 PM

Oh. -scratches head- I just call that an RP. Hmm.

Biomecha 04-16-2019 08:56 PM

Thanks, Espy.

mdom: It's a great skill when you use it well. r/Murderedbywords exists for a reason.

I've been waiting forever for the game, Creaks, to come out. But they are still just saying 2019 and not giving a more definitive time yet.

mdom 04-17-2019 09:11 PM

december 31st is still 2019!"

Biomecha 04-18-2019 09:14 PM

That would be rude.

You've gotten into lifting, I see.

mdom 04-18-2019 09:19 PM

That's pure lumberjacking! Chopping wood and stuff

Biomecha 04-19-2019 01:01 AM

At least you can wash stuff on your abs. Is it a certain character?

mdom 04-20-2019 01:25 AM

No, I just wanted to use a recent donation item and found this cool axe.

Biomecha 04-20-2019 10:44 PM

Are you sure you just didn't want to show off your guns?

mdom 04-21-2019 11:09 AM

Hey, you try to chop wood under the sun and not rip off your shirt ok! It's a sweaty enterprise

Death by Mirrors 04-21-2019 03:11 PM

Shouldn't you wear a fancy dress then? ^^

Biomecha 04-23-2019 05:40 PM

It would add an extra level of fierce-nss while doing a tough job.

I wonder why plaid became so associated with lumberjacks.

mdom 04-23-2019 09:35 PM

Too hot for dresses! Must be shirtless!!

Hm yeah plaid doesn't seem too good to camouflage in the woods
