I've never tried to make beads before.... Is it hard?

Nope. You form the clay and then bake it in the oven.
You can even make patterns like they do for miliflore glass that you can then slice and add to a bead. |

I think it is cool that people make beads and stuff out of slices of clay... like, the way you can plan it out to make the slice look like something. |
