O w O That sounds really good! In fact, that wouldn't be a problem for me either. Every computer in the house is on like... 24/7. (Which, in the end, is a really bad waste of electricity if you think about it. xD) I'll have to look into something like that. Hopefully it's in my budget. xD |
Bleh Im doing a study over ten rocks. ._.'
|
Ten rocks? Huh? D: ::huggles:: Hi, Love. (: |
Mhm. for Earth science. *huggles back* :3 I love the earth and it's wonders.
I don't like how everything has to be specified xD |
Oh, no.... It appears I do in fact have a virus. You'll have to excuse me, but I need to log out of Trisphee and get rid of it. I'll see you guys later!
|
That is so strange my friends computer has a virus too. You dont think Trisphee is spreading malware?
|
Ouch! Glad you found it at least. By, Ultima! ::waves:: Love: Earth Science sounds interesting enough. ::loves the earth too:: (It's too bad I hate how school pounds everything though.) Good luck with it. xD Edit; Poggio: I'd hope not. D: |
Alright Good luck ulti!
|
Google is trying to innovate and overthrow giants like Microsoft, possibly AT&T (not too sure). I think it's particularly good for those who will be traveling frequently and can only get on the laptop for a few minutes. Why wait for a computer to turn on when you can have access in a few seconds?
|
GOOD! ::stabs AT&T and Microsoft:: (Though, I only have something against AT&T. XD) ::would be her life if had the money to travel:: ::starts to daydream:: Haa~ Ireland. ; w ; It does. The first thing I thought of was it being good for my friend since he's constantly using a program that connects him to his laptop/work computer and home computers. (For me, I just want it to have it for my own computer. XD! I'm done sharing.) D: |

But, so long as you can get your computer clean, it should be ok, yes? Owo |
Well I didn't find it yet, but it made itself known. I'm running a scan with the not-as-good anti-virus thingy. I dont think my dad installed the better one on this computer <<; Hopefully it will find it and get rid of it. ......
@Kami- Yeah, I was just watching anime online on a site I use all the time. I guess I won't be using that site anymore >> It does have ads, but I didnt think it was that untrustworthy of a site ... |
Ultima: Oh god, please tell me you're using something other than McAfee. D: ::also has something against that:: Wow, I'm bias. >_> |
Quote:
I know she doesn't use facebook or myspace the worse thing she goes on is probably youtube or wikipedia for school. @ultima: XD yeah I had to cut down the time I spent on Manga fox. |
...... I'm using McAfee. Is that bad? I tried to find the other one. I forget what its called, but it's way better. But I dont think it's on this computer at all.
|
What is McAfee?
|
Why does it seem like I'm the only one who gets viruses on my computers? Everytime we get one, I swear it's my fault. My sisters use the computers and do mostly the same kinds of things, but nooo. Only I seem to get viruses onto the computers ><;;;
|
McAfee is a virus scanning program. I don't particularly like it because back when I was using a PC, all it did was take up space and have random start ups (to scan for viruses). Usually if a program like that has virus check ups, it's on a schedule or something, right? This thing had a mind of its own, and, if anything, only made my computer run slower! THEN, on top of that, when I tried to disable it, it would somehow just pop up again. I don't know what it was doing or why, but it really felt like a virus in itself. D: Edit; Rofl, my mom is the one who usually finds the viruses on our computers. xD |
McAfee and Norton are programs that tech nuts will avoid. They have sold themselves out to big companies, so they allow for certain viruses and adware to slip through. Plus it doesn't do that great of a job at cleaning up your problems.
Try to avoid using IE and use something more secure like Mozilla or Chrome. Get Adblock as an extension/add-on, and also LinkExtend or WOT (helps you see if a site is safe to check out, before you go in there). Free anti-virus programs are good, and can be better than the commercial ones. Like malwarebytes. And don't use Limewire :3 |
Quote:
Thank you very much. >_> Also, Limewire is for noobs. d: MEDIAFIRE FTW! ::head bang:: |
Don't tell me you're still on McAfee D8
|
Me? Oh heck no. That computer was thrown out for our Mac. (Thank god. I wanted to murder it!) D: ::grumbles something unintelligent about McAfee:: >_< |
XD I know what killed our computer. I only used Messenger, my brother watched porn and my sister downloaded every thing she could using limewire. The strange thing is my mom doesnt believe me when I say that the computer still has its virus. you couldn't cut it on for months and suddenly one day it booted up with all the information cleaned off the harddrive.
|
Porn and limewire = computer death combo x'D
|
XD yeah it was fun to catch my brother watching Porn. I even found his dirty mags. Its said he had no privacy since our old house had the washer machine in his room. And we'd give him hell for it too.
|
Oh my, it crashed. xD I think a lot of sites having to do with downloading or watching something could harm your computer. So far, the safest place I know for watching anime and/or television shows is Hulu or the site of that anime/television show. Edit; Dear god, I'd never want to find anything of my family's relating to porn. xD |
@Fallen my family is strange. My mother actually accidentally got on the mailing list for playboy and Penthouse. That was a fun time. My dad tired in vain to hide them when they arrived. And I shall keep that in mind and tell my friend. Every time she gets a virus she thinks its the avatar roleplay sites. But I know for a fact that It couldn't be trisphee and I don't think Ernya has any add space.
|
Gaia is the only one I can think of with ad viruses. I know for a fact that some ads on gaia shoot out malware.
But it also has those sponsor offers, where you go to earn some of the donation/game currency (ie go to this site, install this game and play it, and earn 20 currencies while also installing our virus!). Gaia and a multitude of FB applications have those. |
Yeah, Gaia's got its issues. >.> That's another reason why I'm happy to have a Mac. Though it does not protect me against viruses, a lot of viruses are made to harm PCs, not Macs. I can do more things on this computer than I could have on my old one. (I'm sure this'll change if people start buying more and more Macs though. xD) Poggio: ROFL! That must have been interesting. xD Yeah. Also anything torrent related. They're evil. D; |
@ Fallen: It was. I gave a few away to my friend for his 18th birthday.
And yeah I want a MAC but they are so expensive. I'm hoping to save up for one with photoshop on it but thats going to be good 2-3k. And yeah Gaia. I should have quit after I was hacked but I kept going. |
Poggio: Nice. xD Yeah, they're fairly expensive. I think my mom and I got this one for 1.5k, with a few things installed on it. We do love it though. At least it was worth the money. (Or, so far at least.) Ever since I got hooked on it, I can't quit 100% for some reason. It sucks. xD |
Is it the desktop or a Pro?
And do you mean addicted to your Mac? Or Gaia? |
Pro. Gaia. xD |
Lol I still have my account but I am just not as active. The inflation and lack of decent role plays drove me insane.
Where did your clothes go? Did Chin Chin electrocute them to ashes? |
Ugh, I know what you mean. D; YES! D: ; - ; |
Ugh no more chocolat for her.
-Tosses Fallen a Shirt and some pants- |
XD! Yay! =D ::clothes self:: |

There are three main sources for viruses: Email, Porn sites, and game sites. Anywhere where lots of people gather and interact where information signals are sent to and fro is somewhere at risk for a virus. |
Downloading, downloading! D:< ::cough:: Hey Lee. Sup? d: |
Eh not much, my back is acting up today soooo not to grand xD.
