Beebee calf. EEEEEEEE.

Have a blockbuster from 1911.

Lawtan 10-16-2014 09:06 PM

Den - It's the tongue...

Tam - Mind if I add that to the library?

She's licking her nose to make it work better, because she wants to know what the camera is.

Go ahead! lol What'd you think of it?

Lol! It's okay. And sorry I've been such a ghost. O.o (Sorry, I had to continue the lousy jokes XD)
*hug*

That little cow was too cute! <3 Makes me miss my grandmother, lol. She has a collection of cow trinkets.

Den 10-17-2014 12:31 PM

I saw fuzzy babby, and spammed it to Tam, who then said I should share it here...

It reminded me of when I was younger, and would visit my cousins on their dairy farm. They had bottle calves that The Sibling and I got to help feed, lots of chickens, kittens everywhere, cows, bulls, a few wild turkeys that'd wander onto the property from time to time, and a couple of mules. The Sibling got stepped on by one once...

Lawtan 10-17-2014 01:13 PM

Yay, farm!

>.>
Umm...can someone tell me "I can do it?" I sort of need it, today. Sorry...

Tam I am 10-17-2014 03:14 PM

LAWTAN, YOUCANDOIT!

Den, I knew your brother was a bug. *has been stepped on by big critters myself*

LMBO! *hug!* You totally rock, Kilala!

XD That calf wasn't very old in the picture. You could tell by the narrow little chest and all the fluff. It was probably a girl, because baby bulls are always curlier. And it looked like a Highland, but to be a Highland it would've probably already had horn buds on its head, so it may very well have been a little Galloway.

When I get my brain back from Flo, I wanna provide links to watch an old 'partial talky' Tarzan serial. The very first recorded Tarzan yell! Sounded different from the later ones.

Den 10-17-2014 03:19 PM

*hugs for Lawtan*

O.o I may need to ask you when I get around to portraying several realistic things...

I am trying to do shapeshifting stuff, and undead stuff...and have them be in a low-magic universe based on realistic portrayal of ancient societies/mythologies around the world during the late-middle ages...that I can one day make into a comic... (And until then, be an objective in my art style.)

Espy 10-17-2014 07:35 PM

I got no idea what you're trying to do, but I'm damn well sure you can fucking do it.

Lawtan 10-17-2014 08:05 PM

That...means a heck of alot, Espy.

Espy 10-17-2014 08:27 PM

...Merr. You're welcome.

Kilala Mikal 10-17-2014 08:43 PM

Thanks Tam, lol. It's not too often people tell me that I rock. XD

And wow, that's a lot of info about that calf, lol. For some reason I keep forgetting you're a farm girl, lol. :)

Also, I know I'm late on this, Law, but:

Yay! *gives more hugs*

LOL I'm your nerd. I can offer suggestions about the shape shifting, but my zombies aren't undead, and any vampire stupid enough to wander into my headspace meets an inevitable and ignoble grizzly end. And mythology... I read up on some of 'em when I was young.

You doooooo. Just being crafty ensures that, let alone the playing along with my dumb jokes. XD

...I forgot to mention that I think it's a first calf of a young mother, too. Apparent size, and the slenderness suggest it. And it would be incredibly soft to cuddle!

*looks at picture* *grumbles* You just made me squee again. Between you and Den you're going to ruin my "don't like cute" rep.

Edit: Nearly forgot the link that I came here to leave for the library.

Kilala Mikal 10-17-2014 10:27 PM

@Tam: But dumb jokes are some of the best ones!!! <3

It's awesome that you can tell all of that just by looking at it!

And whoopsies, not trying to do that to you! XD

And whoa. Talk about classic. I've got that bookmarked to watch tomorrow with le hubs. :)

Tam I am 10-18-2014 03:48 AM

...Is there actually smart jokes? Oh. I know I think some word plays are really smart. Especially if you can pull one off without actually saying something offensive. But those take thought. So yes. Dumb jokes are the best.

lol Experience. The calves I knew as a kid and a teenager weren't that fuzzy, but they were all soft. They were also pretty nice to sit on while they napped, if they'd hold still long enough.

XD. I think that reputation is already ruined. Though I still insist that certain insects are cute and that Boo is the scariest creature known to man.

LMBO. I wasn't able to watch that one myself. But I managed to watch all of an older silent serial with sound effects dubbed in. It was a Tarzan one.

Kilala Mikal 10-18-2014 11:49 AM

@Tam: Yes, there are, but I can't honestly think of any right now, and I'm too lazy to go google them, lol. XD

Aww. :)

Lol. What kind of insects do you think are cute? And who is Boo? o.o

We still haven't watched it yet, but I'm kind of looking forward to it. Almost makes me wish my grandmother was still here, she'd really get a kick out of it. She liked Zorro. :) And that seems like it would be interesting. I think I saw you post that a few posts back in here, right?

Den 10-18-2014 02:03 PM

I wish that the local library would be open longer on Fridays and Saturdays than until 6 PM CST, as that's when things start getting interesting! Also, I won't be online at all tomorrow, since the library's closed on sundays. :/

Kilala Mikal 10-18-2014 02:50 PM

:( I feel your pain on that, Den. I went almost 6 years with the only reliable internet access I had was via the library.

Den 10-18-2014 04:05 PM

Turns out this branch closes at 5 CST on saturdays. :/ At least I have three knitting books to tide me over 'til Monday. Going to a pep rally for the local baseball team and adding my name to the banner that'll be going to every World Series game they're in this year.

Kilala Mikal 10-18-2014 04:37 PM

How long have you been knitting? (I think I asked you before, but I can't remember o.o) And at least you have patterns and a pep rally. :) What baseball team is it? (If you don't mind me asking?)

I've been knitting since I was 13, so about 15 years now. The team's the Kansas City Royals. The last time they went to the World Series was in 1985, against the Saint Louis Cardinals, but it looks like we'll be playing against a different team this time.

Also, Lawtan, I have a link for the library: http://paper-replika.com/ They have an extensive database of paper models that can be printed off and built, including several that are near and dear to my heart (Transformers, ftw!)

Lawtan 10-18-2014 05:10 PM

The Library has been updated.

Dragonflies are cute! Especially when my sibs and I used to play with the nymphs, which made them as adults see us as somebody safe to sit on. I'm talking about the big ones. And also, giant diving beetles are cute, especially the one I once stuck in my hoodie pocket to show to my baby sisters, and she was still there when I got home (I know it was a girl, because she wasn't shiny). Bumblebees don't LOOK cute to me, but sometimes they can act it. Like the big fat queen that used to sit on my nose as a kid to wash her face, and swat at me if I tried to interest her in moving away.

Boo is a Pomeranian who is advertised on notebooks and posters and stuff as the cutest dog in the world. Nasty little black eyed horror. Eewwwwww. Makes me think creepy bug thing more than bugs do. (note: most poms make me shudder)

Awww. Guess you can watch it in her memory. Yes, I did. It was 'Tarzan the Tiger'.

Lawtan 10-19-2014 03:27 PM

I find certain arachnids cute, along with bumblebees, grasshoppers, cicadas, butterflies, and dragonflies.

<.< Once critters become thinner than my pinkie finger, is when they generally stop being cute. (Alias, wasps, ants, and hornets are not cute)

Tam I am 10-19-2014 05:03 PM

Oh yeah. Grasshoppers can be cute. Butterflies kinda skeeve me out. And I once made friends with hornets, and thought they were cute as they begged for food at the place I'd trained them to go to for it. Pseudoscorpians are adorable tiny things.

Lawtan 10-19-2014 05:17 PM

*Hides from Tam's hornets*

I have a good chance of anaphylaxis if a white-faced hornet stings me. I don't want to test that chance.

Ginger 10-19-2014 06:18 PM

When I was 10 I went on a hike up a mountain, and someone in my little group stepped on an underground bees nest. Needless to say, we all ran back down the mountain screaming, my shirt full of bees. 15 stings. And I've only been stung once since then, when a bee flew into my hair and got tangled. Soo thankful I'm not allergic to them.

Den 10-19-2014 07:17 PM

I once stepped on a bumblebee at a church picnic... this was a few years after I got stung by a wasp that had been hanging around the playhouse my parents had out on our back patio... I'm wary of bees and wasps now.

Kilala Mikal 10-20-2014 01:03 PM

You trained hornets?? Neat! I'd be wary though. I'm not a big fan of most flying insects. XD Butterflies and Dragonflies are pretty awesome, but other than that, I'm good. No thanks, lol. Rolypolys/pill bugs are my favorite bug. I used to catch them and try to keep them as pets. Just as a reference, these are the guys I'm talking about. :)

I've been stung a few times over the years by different flying bugs (bees, yellow jackets, wasp, etc.) and luckily enough, I'm not allergic. My mom is though, and it would always freak her out when I'd get stung. She's was so afraid I'd inherited her allergy.

Tam I am 10-20-2014 04:35 PM

*eeks at Lawtan's allergy, and at the stingy stories*

I've been stung many times myself over the years, mostly by honey bees and yellow jackets. And a couple times by the smaller type of bumblebee that lives around here. But I've never had trouble with hornets. When I was a little kid I used to find the bumblebees that had stayed out all night and were cold and hungry, and give 'em a dandelion to drink. LOL

Are pill bugs woodlice? Or a different critter? I can't remember right now.

Oh, and my freakiest bugs? The ones that make me scream? Long horn beetles, and big fat fluffy moths.

Den 10-20-2014 05:23 PM

*shifts the topic of discussion away from bugs for the time being*

Local baseball team's going to the World Series... Today was a "pep rally" of sorts. One of the local radio stations made a banner that reads "#AllAboutThatBlue", and encouraged people to sign it. I signed it, and got interviewed by a local news station. My segment begins at :51. :3

Tam I am 10-20-2014 06:21 PM

Den's on TV!

Den 10-20-2014 08:20 PM

Yeah. Too bad I can't share it with the people in my family, because they'd freak about my hair.
