Echo-chan713 07-18-2011 09:37 PM

Yea I'm in Boulder County rather than Weld County/Larimer County since I live closer to Boulder than Fort Collins

Yokuutsu 07-18-2011 09:38 PM

We don't have buses or anything around here.

Reyoki 07-18-2011 09:41 PM

*peeks out from behind a tapestry* Yaoi? Fujoshi? Fudanshi? Slash? WHERE?!

Yokuutsu 07-18-2011 09:41 PM

Reyoki 07-18-2011 09:42 PM

Funkduder 07-18-2011 09:44 PM

*peeks out at Reyoki*

Reyoki 07-18-2011 09:46 PM

Of course you can have one! I said pastries for all, didn't I? Here, you can have one of the cookies shaped like the June Manga rose! *hands out a cookie*

Yokuutsu 07-18-2011 09:48 PM

:D <3
-takes and nibbles- Thank you :3

Poggio 07-18-2011 09:50 PM

...-Wonders if one of those cookies is shaped like A inu, then wonders if any one gets the reference -

Yokuutsu 07-18-2011 09:50 PM

...a dog? Or am I missing it?

Uzekins 07-18-2011 09:51 PM

ooh june manga <3 must get moar. and blue manga too >D

Funkduder 07-18-2011 09:55 PM

....

(June manga? Blue manga? Who? what? which manga are they from or are they manga themselves and...what?)

Yokuutsu 07-18-2011 09:56 PM

Blu manga is closed down. It was a part of Tokyopop which was closed down this past may. Well, their American branch is.

Uzekins 07-18-2011 09:59 PM

still though they're all yaoi manga <3
yeah it;s kind of sad really...tokyopop most of my reg manga is from them. But there's also a reason for it.

Reyoki 07-18-2011 10:00 PM

*sobs at Yoku's post* Don't remind me! Blu Manga had some wonderful titles under their name! How am I supposed to collect Junjou Romantica now?!?!

Uzekins 07-18-2011 10:03 PM

maybe it could still be ordered >D hunt those who own em and wish to sell =p

Poggio 07-18-2011 10:05 PM

XD inu and Neko are another playful term for dom and sub.

Yokuutsu 07-18-2011 10:05 PM

Other companies may pick them up. The liscenses reverted back...so if some company wants to pick it up they can.

Tokyopop's closing makes me want to get rid of all my tokyopop manga...since there is little to no chance of finishing any of the series from them.

Funkduder 07-18-2011 10:07 PM

... but who? What? I'm so confused!!
http://www.ass-no-ryu.com/animeblog/.../ouran12_2.jpg

EDIT: ooops. Not anymore, I think I got the gist of it ((I spoke my monolouge))

Poggio 07-18-2011 10:07 PM

Ha! and I got Gravitation that is all I need. The rest I can read online really plus they dont license the ones I read.

Rem 07-18-2011 10:08 PM

! Tokyopop closed down?? Why, what happened? D:

(I haven't been in the manga loop for a few years now xD)

Uzekins 07-18-2011 10:09 PM

mm i got some gravi i fgot 1-3 and 5 lol. and the box set and the ova lol

Reyoki 07-18-2011 10:10 PM

I'm giving my Hetalia manga to my French professor if the series gets picked up by another company.

As for the yaoi titles, I hope 801 picks up some of their ongoing series. June Manga seems to edit out the more graphic stuff even in their 18+ titles.

((Well that's just sad.))

Yokuutsu 07-18-2011 10:12 PM

The one Manga (I think) I bought from Blu was one volume thank God.

And you know how they're against scanlations? Well, I would've never bought that manga if it wasn't for reading it online first :3

Uzekins 07-18-2011 10:14 PM

lol. >D
yeah I wish there'd be less censoring for yaoi manga. like the untranslated ones <3 so juicy

Yokuutsu 07-18-2011 10:15 PM

I'm good either way. I don't need to blush that much while reading lol

Poggio 07-18-2011 10:17 PM

XD some of my june mangas aren't censored. Then again those were the ones sold in conventions or the special section of books a million

>3< Not really! Not if you haven't collected manga for a few years, were never THAT into it (I only have like 12 manga books) and stopped getting the comic book news magazines.

But I liked Tokyopop because it produced a lot of work from American artists, and was branching out of the pure manga look after awhile.

They published this book by this one artist that I guarantee nobody else would have touched because they'd assume there wasn't a 'market' for it (for the record it was a black artist doing an autobiography of his life and it was hilarious and brilliant with good unique art) so I respected them for that.

So I'm just curious what happened.

Uzekins 07-18-2011 10:19 PM

i like all but i prefer to get some action ;3

Yokuutsu 07-18-2011 10:19 PM

Borders owed them money and was going through bankruptcy.

And Stu Levy...wanted to go into filming and movies. So they closed.

Which pisses me the hell off.

Uzekins 07-18-2011 10:22 PM

le cri~
yeah hoping for less censoring and someone to pick up some of the series i got >D

Yokuutsu 07-18-2011 10:25 PM

It makes me want to stop buying manga all together. Since I'll never get to finish those series probably. Knowing my luck....other places will do the same thing/discontinue the series like Tokyopop did before they decided to close.
