What was the Incredible Hulk's original color? (For double points, what version of the Hulk sports it now?)

His original color was red and now Red Hulk sports the look! :D Is that correct or totally wrong?

Dunno if it's the one you're going for, but the silver slippers were meant to represent the silver backed money, while the Golden Brick Road repped the gold backed money
Silver was seen by the author as better, so the slippers guided Dorothy over the damaged road easily while her companions were stumbling and tripping over the damaged road
I think farmers wanted silver to also keep backing because then the money had more value to them, while city rich people wanted it to be just gold to be better for them? Something to that effect? It's been a while so I can't remember off the top of my head

They became ruby in the movie because ruby looked better than silver in technicolor
And if you look closely you can see that she isn't actually always wearing them, but rather a pair of brown shoes

Correct! Points awarded. You have enough to buy one of your kimonos now!

That is totally wrong, but there is a red Hulk. He's a different character, though.

"In the popular fairy tales, Snow White is a recurring character in various stories. In one, she has a sister, who also has a color in her name. What is it?"

I believe that would be Rosey-Red. From what I've read online, Rammstein's song Rosenrot was partly inspired by a fairy tale featuring her, as well as a different one (can't remember which one off the top of my head).

Merskelly Metalien 08-17-2019 12:18 AM

Goldmember is a tongue-in-cheek parody of what other film?

I wanna say, Goldfinger 007? x}

You are entirely correct. I would also have accepted 'Rose Red', but I do realize it's subject to translation. Points awarded!

Updated the front page to make navigation easier. What do you think?

Kitalpha Hart 08-17-2019 12:37 AM

How is was the Angel Virus spread, and why did it affect how the universe assaulted by it eat their pizzas?

not sure this is what you're looking for (since i'm unfamiliar with what did come up in my search BUT):
in the Rachel Morgan series by Kim Harrison, scientists did some tweaking to the genetic makeup of the T4 Angel tomato. i think it's original intention was to make the plant hardier so it would grow where it normally wouldn't. but instead the resulting tweaking created a virus - the T4 Angel Virus - that killed about 25% of the population in what the author called The Turn.

ignoring the fact that the supernatural creatures (vamps, werewolves, witches) now revealed themselves, it made the humans very wary of anything made with tomatoes... including pizza. pretty sure one of the well-known pizza places was owned by a vampire and most humans stayed FAR away from it. :)

trystan830 08-17-2019 12:41 AM

Who is credited with the original fictional depiction of Dracula?

Bram Stoker, 1897

Points should be awarded now! Sorry for the mishap. Not sure how that happened...

Kitalpha Hart 08-17-2019 12:46 AM

I think you missed it cuz the Wizard of Oz textwall was right after and they blurred in your mind

I've done that myself

I wonder, do I wait to see how many I gather and collect the kimonos in one fell swoop, or do I get them one at a time?

^ ^;; My grammar goof there probably didn't help. However, you are completely and totally correct! Very thorough research, points awarded.

Yeah, that's probably what happened. I appreciate you letting me know!

It's up to you! I'm not going to run out of stock on you, promise.

Kaderin Triste 08-17-2019 12:55 AM

To which side of the stone was safe for the Frisby house to be moved?

The lee/leeward side.

Kaderin Triste 08-17-2019 12:58 AM

Why did the other birds regret drinking from and swimming in the spring when they sought out the eagle's assistance against the current invaders?

It turned out to be partly, if not entirely, made of Mighty Eagle's urine as the eagle would pee in it from the ledge at the entrance to his nest/home.

I need to proofread these a little better. My grammar's all over the place...

That's right! Points awarded!

Correct! Points awarded! You're on fire tonight, friend! Is Derpy helping you? Only one of you gets the points!

Kaderin Triste 08-17-2019 01:12 AM

Lol. Unfortunately, that's where the fire dies because I generally choose to not look up the answers to "trivia" when it's a sort of contest.
XD

I actually remembered the Frisby one from grade school. XD
But Derpy is a great help with trivia.

yaay, thanks!

also I've read all the Rachel Morgan books too:D

Kaderin Triste 08-17-2019 01:36 AM

Lol. It's because I read faster silently than the kids in class could out loud, so I was always several pages ahead and getting in trouble for not being on the right page. And my anxiety makes me relive the horrors of public embarrassments from my past all the time.
XD

Lee 08-17-2019 01:41 AM

I rather enjoyed that series. I'll have to reread it some time.

Well, it's working for you, now, my compadre!

Kaderin Triste 08-17-2019 01:43 AM

Lol. My anxiety is finally a power for good!

Kitalpha Hart 08-17-2019 02:31 AM

Ooh yeah I was faster as a quiet reader than my classmates out loud
Fortunately the teacher didn't call me out in public, the one who did catch me

Espy 08-17-2019 02:33 AM

Discounting Dyson spheres, or other alien interference, what is the going theory for the dimming of Boyajian's star?

SPACE DUST! Although I did like the alien megastructure theory.

Espy 08-17-2019 02:48 AM

On what historical figure is Dracula popularly believed to be based?

Vlad III, or Vlad “the Impaler”, of course.

Espy 08-17-2019 02:54 AM

How are birds and cogwheels related?

Uhhhh hrrgkhh I was gonna say they both have teeth, but birds... don’t have... teeth...

Anyways my bullshit answer is, they both have parts that mesh with each other; for example, gear teeth mesh with other gear teeth, while the barbules of a single barb on a bird’s feather mesh with the barbules of the barb next to it (which is why feathers hold together like that; it works like velcro.)

Major 08-17-2019 03:30 AM

"Clint Barton's outfit and weaponry shown when he was finally located is a nod to what additional alias he has used before in the comics?"

Ronin!

Major 08-17-2019 03:55 AM

"How did Captain Marvel (MCU) acquire her spectacular abilities?"

Answer in a spoiler because... spoilers!

Major 08-17-2019 03:58 AM

"Who implored their antagonists to say hello to their little friend?"

Tony Montana of Scarface.

Witchchylde 08-17-2019 04:34 AM

What name did Dr. Frankenstein's monster choose for himself?

I believe he may have called himself, Legion, because he was comprised of many people.

Witchchylde 08-17-2019 04:42 AM

What was the Incredible Hulk's original color? (For double points, what version of the Hulk sports it now?)
The original Hulk was flat gray. Wish I knew the name of the character that's gray now.

bluebird 08-17-2019 08:04 AM

badum ts

What do you get when you cross an elephant and a dozen eggs?
eleven eggs

bluebird 08-17-2019 08:11 AM

oh man i wish i knew. this sounds hilarious!

This character has a bad habit of 'freeing' parked cars from 'confinement' by shoving them out of lots out into the road. What show are they from?
Cars Toons: Mater's Tall Tales

DreadedMartian 08-17-2019 10:07 AM

What name did Dr. Frankenstein's monster choose for himself?

In Mary Shelley's version he didn't have a name, although he did say to his creator 'I ought to be thy Adam' he was mainly known as 'the monster' or 'the demon'

Merskelly Metalien 08-17-2019 12:40 PM

What do you get when you cross an elephant and a dozen eggs?

I dunno, a JUMBO sized dozen! X}
Or an elephant who's twelve times faithful twelve hundred percent?
