Kaderin Triste 12-05-2018 09:54 PM

...aaaand forgot to write down my schedule for tomorrow. Need to call in the am to find out what time in the pm they'll need me in. XP

Kaderin Triste 12-06-2018 12:23 AM

Pretty sure there is a cleaning rag stuck in the hall cleaning closet sink, but I don't really wanna reach in there because the gross almost black dirt crap that is coming back up is legit like something you'd see in a horror movie and I don't wanna die.

KittyBeary 12-06-2018 06:25 AM

Me after this week and it's not even over yet:

Kaderin Triste 12-09-2018 07:06 PM

I keep mentally giggling about the couple who came into Joann a week or two ago and did't know how fabric stores work...

Kaderin Triste 12-11-2018 08:25 PM

Lol. Everyone trying to talk me into going to the staff Christmas party and participating in the gift exchange, but I might not work there by the time that all rolls around.
XD

KittyBeary 12-11-2018 11:34 PM

Someone's being nitpicky about something I'm selling and it drove me insane. They finally stated they weren't interested. Bye Felicia. >:V

Someone else wants it though so hopefully they're nicer about it. :/

Coda 12-11-2018 11:44 PM

Aaaaugh, I hate it when that happens. >_< Worst kind of client ever!

Coda 12-12-2018 02:30 PM

So I get that I'm a qualified candidate and lots of companies see my LinkedIn profile and stuff and want to hire me. LinkedIn doesn't offer any functionality to label yourself as "not interested" preemptively, so I just reject them as they come up.

But this one I just received... THIS one... this one's almost an insult.

Somehow, a recruiter came across my resume, saw that I'm a tenured database professional, and thought, "I know! This guy's a perfect fit for the data entry role we need to fill!"

... x.x

KittyBeary 12-12-2018 10:33 PM

They were being especially picky on the prices I set. Dx Acting like I was charging too much when I was being quite fair on the price. >_>

Kaderin Triste 12-13-2018 01:16 AM

People like that are the worst. Don't like the price? Well then buy the supplies and make it yourself or shut up and find a different seller.
(Out of curiosity, what were/are you selling?)

Kaderin Triste 12-13-2018 01:31 AM

SHUT UP ABOUT MY ASSUMED DIET, CONVENIENCE STORE CLERK! JUST BECAUSE THE HEALTHIEST FOOD YOU OFFER THAT I CAN EAT ARE JALAPENO POPPERS AND I HAVE NOTHING AT HOME SO I HAVE TO BUY THEM FOR DINNER BECAUSE THE GROCERY STORE CLOSED 30 MINUTES AGO DOES NOT MEAN THAT I EAT LIKE THAT ON A REGULAR BASIS!

Death by Mirrors 12-13-2018 05:28 AM

@KittyBeary
Some people just don't grasp the concept of handmade. All my crafty friends know stories like the dude who wants a handknitted blanket for his sick girlfriend - done in two days maximum, and for no more than 20 bucks (because, you know, he can get a $15 blanket at the supermarket and now thinks he's being generous when offering a whole five more). I'll keep my fingers crossed your next customer will be better.

Kaderin Triste 12-13-2018 05:19 PM

Lol. So every time I hear about someone complaining about prices, I think about that story/conversation.
Tbh, I've been on both sides. Before I really got into a lot of crafts, I'd look at hand dyed yarns or crocheted gloves and think "$30 for that? No way! That's too much!" But then I started actually dying yarns and making stuff with yarn and realized that it actually is very common for crafts and hand-made items to be very much underpriced, even at the prices that initially sound like a lot. So when people get upset about prices being what they think is too much, I can understand why they think that way. They just don't understand (and sometimes refuse to understand because they just want so be cheap) why we have to charge what we do. On occasion, you can actually make explain and have the person understand, but a lot of the time, unless they've done craft stuff before, they just don't get it.

KittyBeary 12-13-2018 10:25 PM

Ahh, it's not exactly handmade. It's a cosplay I got a few years back that I don't quite wear anymore, so I'm selling it. ._." But even if it was handmade and someone was complaining about prices I'd also be mad. >_<

Kaderin Triste 12-13-2018 10:44 PM

Ohhhhh.....that makes sense.
But was it like a pre-made cosplay set or individual components that you bought and put together, because that can get pricy tio. Especially for mid-to-high quality pieces. (And I have seen some of your cosplays and they're really awesome so....)

Den 12-14-2018 04:26 AM

i'm having a mini-crisis because of my apparent gender and my obvious whiteness https://twitter.com/DEAGrantDraws/st...91663283257344

Coda 12-14-2018 12:51 PM

My recommendation: Go for it. You would NOT be the first AFAB person to use drag as a way to express masculinity. It's not appropriation if you're already part of that culture -- and you are. The last thing the non-gender-normative community needs is artificial lines drawn to segregate parts of the community from itself, when we've been trying so hard to bring them together.

Den 12-14-2018 08:42 PM

actually, i was wanting more to do the over-exaggerated femininity of the Drag Queens. and there turns out to be a term for a female doing that. Faux Queen. I'mma be a motherfuckin' glamazon Faux Queen.

Coda 12-15-2018 12:31 AM

I knew that's what you meant and that's exactly what I was talking about. The overexaggerated femininity of drag queens ends up emphasizing masculinity because that's the cultural association people have with drag queens.

Kaderin Triste 12-15-2018 12:50 AM

I hate when people ("friends") think they're being "funny" by making jokes about my asexuality. Like how I'll find a man (or woman) and move away and have a family and leave them all alone when I get my life together. Or "joke" about how I just am not interested in them, as though I am actually interested in all other men.
Like....we've been over this a million times and I am not amused.

Merskelly Metalien 12-15-2018 01:53 PM

(:D Oh! A fellow Ace! What a surprise! I sympathize yo. -_- Why is it so hard to grasp that I don't crush on anything but The Twilight Zone???)

Ahhhhhhhh >n< I don't wanna get sick but I think I'm getting sick! ;-; I've been infected...

Kaderin Triste 12-15-2018 03:42 PM

And the concept of "I can still find men and women visually appealing without wanting them" seems to be extremely difficult.

Merskelly Metalien 12-15-2018 07:37 PM

Same! >.< Ugh, mega big feels! When I see shirtless buff men, all I think about is how awesome they must be at everything, like, champion yo. Not, "Oh wow, what a hunk! I'd tap that." I only wish I had some muscles like that... ;u; and can lift a frickin' couch. But I have snowman arms. xD

Den 12-15-2018 08:25 PM

*throws a party for their fellow Aces* I'm a bit more complicated, because I'm also Demipanromantic.

Kaderin Triste 12-15-2018 09:36 PM

That sounds...potentially very complicated. What is demipanromantic? (I'm too lazy to look it up myself.)

Kaderin Triste 12-15-2018 09:39 PM

Lol...my train of thought sometimes...
*sees the word party* -> will there be cake? -> *thinks about the cake called "better than sex cake"* -> but every cake is better than sex for asexuals...

Coda 12-15-2018 09:42 PM

It's a combination of "demiromantic" (only finds romantic attraction in people once they've already established a close bond otherwise) and "panromantic" (has no gender preference in romantic relationships).

Death by Mirrors 12-16-2018 04:15 AM

Cake is better than sex.
People who doubt that just never had really good cake.

Merskelly Metalien 12-16-2018 04:24 AM

I'm not that much of a sweet-tooth and yet cake is still the best thing I love to bake! x) Not in a million years would sex ever top cake!

Kaderin Triste 12-16-2018 02:01 PM

Thanks Coda!

Ahhhh...I kinda want to make cake now, but I don't have all the stuff for it. Probably will just stick with my original plan and do sugar cookies today. Just gotta clear off a table and wash a few things.

Kaderin Triste 12-16-2018 02:36 PM

Fuck. Just got up and discovered that I accidentally left a skein of yarn out. And now it's a mess of yarn. And part of it has been chewed through, but I can't tell if it was only chewed through or if Batty actually managed to eat some of it.
I'm so mad at myself right now for not double-checking before going to bed!

Biomecha 12-16-2018 04:22 PM

My Achilles finally calmed down enough to let me do at least a tiny bit of walking to look for decorations. But clearance sales already started apparently, so most things have been cleared out.

Got my dog a new toy and she absolutely loves it, at least.

Kaderin Triste 12-17-2018 03:32 PM

My closet looks amazing and I regret not taking before and after pics! Unfortunately, that's pretty much all I managed to get done. Well, that and a mass-purge of a couple storage drawers (mostly my bath and bodyworks lotions), which led to me organizing/spreading out my nail polish collection and better organizing my embroidery and paint pour supplies.
I feel both accomplished and like a lazy slob. Because there is still so much mess to tackle.

Merskelly Metalien 12-17-2018 11:08 PM

Today the thought crossed my mind again...
...maybe I should take up drumming. :/ But am I willing to commit to it...hmm

KittyBeary 12-18-2018 07:59 AM

What a day it has been. My sister was traveling from LA to visit home for the holidays via Amtrak, and due to a tragic accident somewhere along the tracks, the train had to be delayed a few hours. (x___x)" Of all the nights.... she's home now, thankfully.

Coda 12-18-2018 09:53 PM

Oh thank goodness, I was afraid "tragic accident" meant something worse.

Kaderin Triste 12-18-2018 11:53 PM

...getting real tired of your shit, weather...

Actually, it was a really bad one, hence "tragic". It had nothing to do with those on the train. It had to do with someone crossing the train tracks.....

I meant something worse for your family. I agree the accident itself was tragic.

Kaderin Triste 12-19-2018 08:36 PM

Damn. That's really sad and awful.

For anyone who wants a good smile (or even just an eyeroll), I present my Christmas tree from Subeta.

(I can't stop laughing to myself about it every time I look at it...)
