Sai! Your cross stitching is so pretty! I'm in awe. I haven't done one in many, many years but I almost never finish them unless they're really small. I get so overwhelmed. Where do you find your pretty patterns? I feel inspired by your biscornu! For my wedding, i'm going to be doing paper quilling..which may or may not be what Kei is talking about. http://www.google.com/images?q=paper...w=1440&bih=710 Basically, you take very thin strips of long paper and twist them around a needle like object and then you shape them and glue them to paper to make pretty designs. It took alot of looking to find all the ones I have and I keep trying to look for more free patterns too. There are a couple stores online that I found that sell patterns for biscornus for pretty cheap. About $5-6 for each one. I know what you mean about being overwhelmed. I get like that with big projects too. I have a gorgeous woodland enchantress that I so want to make, but it's just too much for me to handle. I hope in the future I can work on it. It's just too beautiful to not do. I even have a cute polar bear one that I started and a really nice tree skirt that is huge as hell to do. I think we're probably quite a bit alike in that aspect. I always have such grand ideas but then..they just never pan out. But! I never stop trying. I saw them! On the front page...they really are very pretty. :) I still admire the pieces you have done very much and like I said, I feel inspired. Have you seen the site Urban Threads? I got a kit from that site a long time ago but I never used it. I don't even know where it went, lol. They have free stuff on there I believe tho. There's also craftster.org which is a neat forum for crafty folks. I dunno why I never popped in here but I plan to from now on! Maybe it will help me feel inspired. ❤ ❤ ❤ |

I really let that thing take over my life. I'm trying to work on different biscornus to work myself up to making a 15 sided one and blackwork ones. I guess it depends on what you view as simple. You could do a small piece. Like a small oranament or small animal or like a heart. I've done that a couple times and it was nice. Cute lil piece and fun to do. I found a few easy patterns here. I did a irish flag for a simple piece on day and it was alot of fun. Aww...well, here in Wisconsin it's still too cold for me to put my plants back outside but they did survive another winter. :) I'm originally from Florida and when my grandmother visits she brings me plants from her yard. I guess the green thumb runs in our family. She taught floral design all her life and my mother, before she died, ran a flower shop. ❤ ❤ ❤ |

I guess in WI human services can ruin your life just because they want to without having actual reasons to take a child out of the house. Plus my son is being found guilty of starting a fire just because he was with the boys right before they started it. I guess in another state, he wouldn't be found guilty at all. He wants to move to a state that has a cardboard packaging plant. He works at Menesha and they have plants around the country. I guess my hubby wants to find a place that is looking for people to work there and move. I guess it's between Virgina and he is thinking about Texas because of the lower taxes and how the laws are there. Alot more lient there than here.
