Walking upright is cool and all, but our body is woefully designed to do so. It causes damage if you don't do it right. It's healthier to go without shoes, but also super unhealthy and dangerous in most climates ad situations. Our backs don't handle the strain well, our hips are a nightmare of evolution. Plus falling can be a cause of death, even in non-frail populations. It's just a mess. Someone should put in a work ticket to get it fixed.
