/Washes away cho's question

And what use would that be?

Poggio 05-21-2012 05:32 PM

Well it actually works xD. I was at my friends hose and used hers to play some music that I like and it has been playing good music for about an hour.

Honey 05-21-2012 05:33 PM

XD Did you not originally think it worked?

Honey 05-21-2012 05:39 PM

I have to go make dinner, i might pop in after wards. Talk to you soon Poggisu~

Poggio 05-21-2012 05:39 PM

Not for me. I would put in something I liked and I would get a bunch of random horrible crap that I hated to listen to. And since it only gives you three skips after three songs I would be stuck suffering so I just stuck to making playlist.

femme gauche 05-21-2012 06:41 PM

I tend to like to own my music. Well, you know. Collect and have it in my collection. And I like listening to albums.

Honey 05-21-2012 08:28 PM

Yeah, when you first start a channel you have to be patient to get it to the songs you want, but once you get the music you like it is wonderful to have up in the back. Though I find it necessary to have more than one playlist, just so if you're not in the mood for one genre you can skip to another you feel like while thumbs-downing songs that when in a different mood you may have liked.

And I can't say I'm much of a fan of getting entire albums, I am picky about my songs and only find one, or two from an entire group of songs. But that is why I like iTunes, you can pick and choose and get individual songs (most of the time) and develop a playlist of music that you really like -w-

femme gauche 05-21-2012 08:31 PM

Yeah that's one reason that when I tried Pandora I never stuck with it for very long... You have to thumbs-down songs just to stop listening to them, which... I have plenty of music that I love but that I might skip depending on my mood... But I also have plenty of music. So I use Genius on iTunes to make automatic playlists based on a particular song, using things already in my library.

Honey 05-21-2012 08:38 PM

I don't know, when I tried to use Genius on iTunes it didn't work for me. Though, I believe it is because I have such an odd collection of music from no particular genre that it has a hard time pinpointing and is like 'the fuck?' xD Ah well, I listen to Pandora for a bit just to gather up songs I like, and then go and buy them when I have money I want to use on songs. It seems to work pretty well -w-

Poggio 05-21-2012 08:45 PM

I use Playlist, it generally has the songs that I like so I can stream them over and over.

So honbons. I half drew what I was suppose to draw then started drawing Zosa want to see it?

Honey 05-21-2012 08:47 PM

What is Playlist?

and sure, though I don't have anything to show you back ;_;

Poggio 05-21-2012 08:50 PM

This is a playlist xD http://pl.st/p/18262175243 here is the link to the one I am currently listening too.

and let me upload it This is the first Zosa that turned out decent.

femme gauche 05-21-2012 08:50 PM

Most of my music is stuff that iTunes has available. It is mostly ripped from CDs but the information gets downloaded from iTunes and generally there is a genre attached and it is recognizable. So yes it mainly works for stuff like that, haha. But for my purposes it works. Besides, there's no Pandora on my iPod Nano.

Honey 05-21-2012 08:51 PM

I didn't recognize like...any songs on your playlist xD and the site was super laggy for me, too much bandwidth

and that is good then

Honey 05-21-2012 08:52 PM

That is one thing I wasn't a fan about for some of the iPods, that while you could have radio there was no Pandora available. ;__; I'd much rather listen to my Pandora radio stations than talk shows and stuff

Honey 05-21-2012 09:06 PM

v,v /le killed the thread

femme gauche 05-21-2012 09:06 PM

Well as I've said, I've never been too much into Pandora, and anyway I like listening to albums or pre-selected/self-selected music most of the time. When I get a new album, usually on CD, but sometimes also digital, the first thing I do when I get the chance is sit down and listen to the whole thing, beginning to end.

Honey 05-21-2012 09:09 PM

I couldn't ever do it, even if the beginning of a a song doesn't appeal to me I do not listen and just skip it. If I do not like a song I do not like it, you know?:

femme gauche 05-21-2012 09:11 PM

This is why I am very much attached to particular artists. Artists (well, bands, mainly) who I know will have a coherent album which can be appreciated as a whole, or whose songs at least I know I will like.

Honey 05-21-2012 09:13 PM

I have yet to find a sole artist whose work has enough songs, that I enjoy listening to, that I could then base a strong opinion on and say that they are a good artist. I have ones I favor over others, but none capture my entire attention.

Poggio 05-21-2012 09:13 PM

This is the first time I find myself attached to an artist. I love Friendly fires and have listened to all their songs on youtube. I do not have an ipod and can only stream music if I want to listen or suffer the radio.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v205/fuyukun/zosa.jpg

Honey 05-21-2012 09:16 PM

Bah~ I almost never listen to the radio anymore xd half of the songs they play I cannot bring myself to listen to. I ten to bring CDs into the car instead -w- like Prisilla: Queen of the Desert, perfect driving music

and it is awesome, i like the colors of it, and the shading

femme gauche 05-21-2012 09:17 PM

I tend to be pretty mainstream in what appeals to me - Green Day is my favorite band, whose songs I love all of in varying degrees, and they are followed by a host of others in an order which tends to vary, but which includes Muse, Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Queen, Rufus Wainwright, The White Stripes, My Chemical Romance, etc... There are songs by each to which I may be lukewarm or not have any particularly positive feelings but which I still take as a part of the "whole", if that makes any sense.

Poggio 05-21-2012 09:17 PM

I have yet to see that movie, but I have seen Too wong fu, thanks for everything. xD. I tend to listen to my little collection of music that I have gotten from Coro and what I have ripped from library cd's.

xD thank you, honestly he was suppose to have a natural skin tone but it turned out that way.

Honey 05-21-2012 09:21 PM

<3<3<3<3 Omg, I watched To Wong Foo the other daaaaaaay~~ Fucking loved that movie <3 amazing. But you should watch Prisilla next, the costumes are fucking awesome xD And it is a classic~

And it made sense to an extent, Madame. Though of your list there are only three I have barely listened too xD So many unknown bands

femme gauche 05-21-2012 09:24 PM

I just can't get along listening to just songs... It would to me be like watching nothing but single episodes of t.v. shows or even single scenes of movies. I do have some songs which I like and don't really know much else about the artist but... Those are relatively few compared to my library of artists.

Honey 05-21-2012 09:28 PM

I do that all of the time xD I have a hard time sitting through entire movies, and just kind of flit through and only grab a couple scenes from the movie, and same goes with t.v. shows. Though my music varies heavily I find myself straying towards old fashioned singers like Mama Cass or Eliza Fitzgerald -w- Hurray for the early years

and to respond to your earlier comment on the art, Poggisu (My eyes totally skipped over it u-u) I think that the blue and green adds freshness to it, and a cooler feel. Almost all of the art I have seen of him is really warm to go with his skin, but it is refreshing to see

femme gauche 05-21-2012 09:31 PM

How do you do that? o_o. Anyway I think a lot of people who just do individual songs don't really do that... Still watch movies, t.v. shows, etc. It would be simple to chalk it up to just not being that interested in music, but obviously that isn't typically the case. But I even listen to movie scores, so I suppose I am at the other end of that spectrum.

Honey 05-21-2012 09:35 PM

X'D I don't know how I manage it. I blame my short attention span to do something, I just can't focus on something, and when i can I am usually sleepy, so sitting down to watch a movie ends in me falling asleep and seeing little. But yes, it truly does seem like we are at complete opposites of the spectrum in the retrospect of music and movies and such. What a shame~

http://youtu.be/qo2P7AhMbxk But still xD Have some music

femme gauche 05-21-2012 09:38 PM

It's ironic, because I have always been said to have attention deficit. At least I have trouble keeping track of things, I am REALLLLLY crappy at keeping organized and organizing my thoughts, and focusing skills are shit. But music, movies, things like that... They tend to really capture my mind.

Honey 05-21-2012 09:41 PM

And I am a generally organized person, sans my ability (it seems) to save my work, as Poggisu could easily tell you xD, though everything else is organized and well kept and stuff. Honestly, some days I don't know how I manage to get anything organized with my inability to focus, but somehow it happens.

femme gauche 05-21-2012 09:44 PM

Nice. I think I am very escapist... Always loving fantasy and emotional music.

Well, I've never been religious, and don't believe in any gods, so I suppose that sinking into music is as close to a spiritual experience as I get. And well, it's pretty good, actually.

Well... My room... is... beyond chaos. I've put days into working on it and still it is well beyond what an ordinary person would consider a 'messy' room. There is no system of organization that I seem able to stick to, and no prioritization.

Honey 05-21-2012 09:52 PM

Fantasy is one of my favorites~ Just outs you barely beyond the realm of reality and it is almost calming. And even though I used to be a religious person I think I might have a brief understanding of your relation with music, with the way you describe it, though obviously I would have experienced it in my own way. It's just that moment where the music is just so peaceful it kind of fills you with a warm feeling?

And man xD Don't even get me started on rooms. If it is messy under normal people's standards I am afraid to even know with my ocd for cleanliness and organization.

femme gauche 05-21-2012 09:56 PM

Yeah, well, but it isn't always peaceful, but it does definitely make you feel pretty good. Even though Green Day is my favorite band (and I'm pretty much in love with everything they do), Muse tends to take me to a higher plane as often as not, I guess keeping them true to their name. Haha. But whether the emotion is anger, or passion, or hatred, or love, it all comes across really strongly in my favorite music.

Yeah... You definitely don't want to know. I spent hours just bagging up all of my yarn. I have three garbage bags full of yarn and that isn't even all of it. Imagine how bad that all gets when it's tangled. Eugh. Mostly it was that, and clothes, which covered the floor...

Honey 05-21-2012 10:00 PM

Muse is a nice band, I think they have developed their music to harmonize and it is just naturally appealing to one's ears. -w- I actually like them as a band.

Bah! That is why i keep all of my yarn in a container beneath my bin, and have them all folded into balls of yarn >n> No skeins for me, they get tangled too often and I spend more time untangling them than I do crocheting.

Honey 05-21-2012 10:04 PM

And I will share this one too~: http://youtu.be/Xd8tOAJMA8Q

femme gauche 05-21-2012 10:05 PM

Yeah, but there is no container that I have which is big enough to carry it all, and at any rate the tangling was mainly with stuff that I was actually working on, and I don't want to put that stuff away because then how can I pick it back up D<. Which is moreso the case with knitting than with crocheting.

Honey 05-21-2012 10:09 PM

It is true xD And while I am more of an avid crocheter than a knitter (and by 'knitter' I mean I can make a tiny little piece and nothing more XD) I know that knitting seems to be much more difficult to keep intact and neat, since there are two needles in opposition to one crochet hook. Though, it could simply be because of my lack of experience with knitting as well.

femme gauche 05-21-2012 10:09 PM

Yeah, I heard that song ages ago once or twice, and I do rather like it. One new artist I'm looking into is Frank Turner... looking into getting a CD of his, waffling about where/when I am going to get it. That sounds strange but it is the matter of monetary versus physical output on my part and the matter of having to wait for it to be mailed versus getting it and listening to it on the same day. Ah well. I'll figure it out. I'm just glad to have an artist to check out...

No, that's pretty much always the case... Which is to say, it stays quite nicely on the needles while working on it, but when setting it down one must take great care. I consider myself more of a knitter than a crocheter but of late I am becoming more evenly split, between the quickness of crochet and the visual appeal of knitting.
