I have quite a few boxes of tea. I love drinking it in the fall and winter.

I'm starting to have issues if I don't get my morning tea, regardless of the day. It might have to do that I dislike eating much in the am and the milk and sugar in my tea get me some energy.

I know, right??? You can never have too much tea!

I found more of my Domo London Fog mix today! Huzzah!

Mass shopping trip. I am tired. But, I managed to buy only one tea!

So I've been looking at For Tea's Sake now, as I got a couple off the clearance rack a couple of stores. (Not usually a good sign.) The tea itself is weak, but I do like the blends somewhat. The have one that's the closest I've manage to get to my old Cinnamon Heart tea that's called Home Sweet Home. One of the ingredients is, literally, "Candy." Such careful product labeling, these guys.

Their "Zen Master" tea is another pu-erh mix so I am giving that a try. It's pretty bland, I find, an overload of extra stuff beyond the tea, or I'm just failing at getting enough of a mix. The petals in it are long and annoying to deal with.

I have Lapsang Suchong right now. I'm actually tempted to see what manner of cooking I could do with it.

Because of an ultrasound I could not have my proper cup of tea this morning. I had to make due with green. I was amazed at how foul a mood I found myself in on the drive back to the mall afterward. Like, it wasn't just my usual hungry, stressed out snarkiness, I wanted to snarl and scream and savage something.

Like seriously, something had to not be on this planet anymore.

Then we got to the mall and I had a chai latte and then I was okay. :)

There is a place here in Miami called Small Tea. It's quite nice, with 9 categories of tea and 84 teas in total. Buying a pitcher gives you free refills of it. :p-grin:

I adore tea, am definitely a tea fiend although first thing in the morning I do require a dark roast coffee or someone is liable to me smacked upside the head. Gibbs'd as I call it (NCIS reference), but I love Green Teas, and currently my favourite tea is a Raspberry Lemon tea, cannot remember where my mother got it from but I am pretty sure it is a fancy ish tea from David's Tea or perhaps Teavanna. I quite enjoy Starbucks tea as well, their Emperor's Clouds and Mist Green Tea is my absolute favourite! Yum.

Quiet Man Cometh 11-14-2017 10:57 PM

I know that reference!

I haven't really tried Starbucks tea as I don't much like their prices for what I can make myself, hence I tend to go for chai latte or a vanilla steamed milk.

That tea sounds like something David's would have. I don't know enough of Teavanna to say. I've been getting annoyed at David's for discontinuing my favourite blends! I've also decided I spend way too much on frilly teas and need to curb my spending. I stick with my staples now, for the most part. I have found a ginger pu'erh mix that I quite like from an independent tea shop. I might check another local place I like and see what they have again. The guy knows his tea, and that's always neat to hear about, at least for me. The owner (I think) explained the nature of the Assam estate teas to me.

Starbucks tea IS Teavana tea now for the most part. They bought Teavana a couple years ago.

Quiet Man Cometh 11-15-2017 12:19 AM

I was aware of that but I haven't actually been inside a Teavanna in some time, and when I go into a Starbucks, what I see is Tazo which I can get at a grocery store.

I heard the stores were shutting down. Is that because of lack of store front business? There are always people in David's but, again, I don't know enough about Teavanna to say.

So do you consider herbal infusions to be tea because some do and some do not. I am really caffeine sensitive so I have to drink decaffeinated teas or stick with herbals. Since we have a fairly decent herb shop about an hour from our house when I get the chance I like to go and buy herbs to make my own blends.

Crystalkitsune85 11-15-2017 02:50 AM

*Stalks Mekatra* I drink tea. I mean I've been drinking it more often. I don't drink coffee hardly at all, but I do like a nice black tea. Lately, though I've been drinking sleepy time tea before bed.

Which is a development I'm not too pleased with :|

Technically it's not, as it's not the tea plant etc, yadda, blah blah blah, but for the purposes of this thread it's fine. Not going to get super picky.

Den 11-16-2017 08:30 PM

I consider it tea, even if it's technically not. lol
