how you get rid of one???? this sounds really weird!! |
By giving them 30 days in november and telling them they HAVE to leave.

Gyahaha, I'm so happy there's a Drop/Add period at the start of each semester. Once second semester comes I'm trying my best to get rid of my French class. My counselor wouldn't tell me if this was possible, but at least I have to try to replace it with something.
If I can push for it to be dropped, I have a chance to add either Tradition and Computer Animation Techniques (seems fun?), Digital Photography (do I need to buy another camera?), Math Seminar/Problem Solving II (why the II? Is it continuous? The Departmental authorization scares me off a bit, though problem solving seems like fun--though it seems hard too), Forensic Science (I probably don't want to do this), Neuroscience Medicine (definitely don't want to do this one), or cosmology (what even is cosmology?). Still, I'm scared they won't let me drop French in the end..which would be awful. I should find out today, though I don't know how much I should trust my counselor. /end rant x'D |
Nette good luck for getting rid of! I like French though! It sounds really melodic to me :))
|
French sounds pretty nice--though I'm not very interested in continuing to learn it xD. I don't see myself going to France if I can help it, and I don't have anyone to speak French to. The language itself, well, it feels more like something that takes away from my time than anything. If I had to learn any language it would either be Korean, Japanese, or Mandarin x'D.
|
Aww mandarin is really hard to learn, even worse than germany! Japanese I would learn too just because for fun :))
|
Mandarin has the advantage that the grammar is straightforward (easier than English in that regard) and words don't inflect. The hard part is learning the written vocabulary (TONS of memorization) and tones.
Japanese is a fun language to learn. I took three years of it in college. Korean is on my list of things to learn someday. |
a friend of mine took Japanese too!
in high school, in addition to my public school, i went to a hebrew school on sundays, and took 5 years of hebrew (grades 8-12), and was able to use that as my language requirement through high school and for college. now... i might remember a few things, but i wouldn't make any promises. XD |
I took 3 years of Japanese but only words stuck. My brain just doesn't want to learn other languages v.v
I also tried a French class but it was online and I'd read the sounds and words in the text but when the teacher held live in French only chats I didn't understand anything she said because you can't read how a word sounds in a book xD |
I've learned random words in many many languages, took Spanish in high school, and dedicated some time to learning Japanese and German.
But I'm only fluent in English. XD |
