I do love me some green.
so it took me a while to get around to this but here is my deck build. i will enjoy your feedback and input:
Hyjin's white humans (x61): Creatures (x28) Champion of the Parish x4 Gideon's Lawkeeper x4 Doomed Traveler x4 Elite Inquisitor x3 Mirran Crusader x4 Adaptive Automaton x2 Mentor of the Meek x2 Fiend Hunter x3 Silverblade Paladin x1 Riders of Gavony x1 Spells (x11) Bonds of faith x3 Honor of the Pure x4 Oblivion Ring x4 Artifacts (x1) Otherworld Atlas x1 Lands (x21) Cavern of souls x1 Gavony Township x2 Sunpetal Grove x4 Plains x14 |
That looks pretty solid for a small humans deck, and the Champion of the Parish has the potentially to become pretty threatening. how do you plan to play it? Is it all about getting the champion big, or swamping with lots of small creatures?
depends on what hands i get... (starting hand 3 planes, 1 champ, 1 adaptive, 1 cavern, and one bonds) first turn play land and then champ. next turn draw (fiend hunter) play second land then bonds on either enemy creature (if any that is big) or on champ. next turn draw again (planes) play land and then either adaptive or fiend hunter depending on opponents last turn.
so i guess you can say its make champ big but other times it beat my opponent with small stuff until i get them bigger with honor (yes i did just pull out my cards to do that) |
I would be worried by the lack of protection from removal, especially if you're playing it where one creature getting big is your win condition. If you're going for a swarm condition then removal isn't as big of an issue.
I would suggest looking into some other equipments, like mask of avacyn or either of the hexproof/shroud boots. then there's little ones like bladed bracers that give additional things when on humans. Otherwise it seems fairly solid and should get a fair amount of creatures out pretty fast. Though that may lead to a fairly limited hand size quite fast, with only one card in the whole deck to help with that. Really though i could say all sorts of things, but i can't really see it or really guess how it will play. you just have to play test it a lot. |
i play test it everyday when i can
I get to test out my updated islandwalk deck tomorrow. Merfolk and fish everywhere.
whoot fish people
i started changing it on monday and i managed a turn 5 kill with it when i was actually playing against someone who had islands. If they don't i need to wait for certain cards that make lands into islands and things, which is a little lame :/
that is kind of lame
they can get fairly strong though, so i should be able to hold my own and beat them down till i get them. oh, and there's the enchantment that gives all my creatures flying. So it's possible i can win without the islandwalk.
that is good

-peeks into thread-
I really need to figure out how to balance my Angel desk. |
Balancing desks can be hard
apparently my new islandwalk deck isn't liked very much.. we had multiple 8 player games yesterday and they all killed me as fast as possible D':
