Demonskid 11-13-2015 02:05 PM

=p

-reads Haikyu! cause she's impatient on waiting for the next episode-

ml1201 11-13-2015 04:37 PM

I always wondered why they did that for the english versions. :o

Demonskid 11-14-2015 10:57 AM

Did what for english versions? o3o

ml1201 11-14-2015 10:36 PM

Females voice males.

Demonskid 11-14-2015 10:43 PM

its mainly for younger males or feminine males who are suppose to sound slightly like girls.. but mostly for younger males like 5-16 year olds. depending on if the male hit puberty or not >.>,

wait that's japan, in america its mainly children males the girls voice. on occasion they might voice a teen or young adult but rarely. very rarely. mainly children o3o

Like Shippou from Inuyasha =)

daikokunyo 11-15-2015 05:09 AM

I didn't know that! About children voicing over in the english dubs I mean. Wow.

ml1201 11-15-2015 08:52 AM

Well, it is the easiest way to get a childish voice. Then again when all kids are young they tend to have higher pitched voices.

daikokunyo 11-15-2015 09:34 AM

I don't think the female voice overs in English dubs are able to do bishie boyz' voices like seiyuu are.

Demonskid 11-15-2015 10:09 PM

The person who voiced Trunks from DBZ is a girl, and Shippou from Inuyasha did a very good job.

I don't remember 'Case Closed's' Conan's VA (AND I DON"T WANT TO D:<) >.>,

if I remember correctly the lady who voiced US Trunks is the girl who voiced Renge from Host Club (annoying self proclaimed manager of club) and Jo from Burst Angel (SHE DID AN AWESOME JOB AS JO!) because of her I can't bring myself to watch the japanese original ;-; I love Jo's english voice SOOOO much

I think her name is Monica Rial -goes to ANN to double check-

My Bad, she was Bulma..
Mey-Rin from Black Butler
uwaaaa she voiced a character from the anime 'ANOTHER' that is one creepy anime, it was (is?) on Crunchyroll... good but super creepy.. Not watching it again to hear her voice.. i refuse ;-;

AH! GUN SLINGER GIRL! 8D I love that show! She was Angelica x3

Nobunagun.. i'm still watching the jap version of that on CR =o she plays in the eng version! kewl

ugh small parts in Saiyuki.. i probably never got to those parts, xD i switched it to jap very quickly

ah! Sakura from Tsubasa! =o

FOUND ONE WHERE SHE VOICED A BOY! 8D Gamemaster from Yu Yu Hakusho! nyahahahaha

Most of the stuff she's in I only saw the japanese versions.. ^^, I think I only heard her in: YYH, Host Club, and Burst Angel.. -fan girls over Jo from burst angel-

AHHH! I found who did young Trunks! Laura Bailey! She's known for :
Keiko from YYH, Tohru from Fruits Basket (if you watched the english version of Case Closed/Detective Conan) she was Serena Sebastian (SONOKO! D:< hate it when they change names of the characters) 3:< ah.. she was Lust from FMA o-o I TOTALLY DID NOT RECOGNIZE HER VOICE!!!! I gotta rewatch that now ><

Henrietta from Gunslinger Girl

ml1201 11-16-2015 12:23 PM

lol, lots of voice acting fangriling I see going on. XD

Demonskid 11-18-2015 08:29 AM

d(ouo)b of course!

KYAAA! Zoro from One Piece, His Seiyuu is in God Eater! -flails- he always get the angry, leave me alone, types o3o

God Eater eps 10-13 wont come out till this winter -cries- i wanna see what happens to Lindow!!!!!!!

(seriously the names japanese people give these characters.. Giblet? Lindow?) (giblet was from One Piece)

ml1201 11-18-2015 11:28 PM

One Piece in particular does tend to have really goofy names. XD And Ranma 1/2

Demonskid 11-20-2015 04:32 PM

Ahh Ranma <3 Have you seen the Live Movie?

ml1201 11-20-2015 11:31 PM

Wait, what? o.O I didn't even know there was a live movie. o.o;

Demonskid 11-21-2015 09:47 AM
