Oh aye. On PC I'm always sweating it out on Endless Legend or Civ V, making sure I get that list of Wonders built before anyone else. But on DS? Pffft I can just relax while playing some Kirby, no real sweats. It's relaxing.
Severely less Shaka of the Zulus to destroy my empire of continent spanning proto-Soviets. |
I love my playstations ;^; i turn at least one of them on every time i come in the house XD Having a controller and a big screen is much more fun to me than a handheld. I can't even play games on my phone because I stress about the battery life XD

I miss playing stuff on my PS3, but it's mostly used for Rock Band now. I mean, I play Rock Band a lot on it, but that's all it's really for.
Oh and the occasional Operation Flash Point: Dragon Rising, because I hate myself just enough to keep going back to it. PC is totally where it's at, though. |
I am playing the new Kings Quest game on my ps4 and uhm. Replaying a bunch of PS1 games like breath of fire3 &4 anddddd I'm excited to get all of these games:
brothers: a tale of two sons cosmic star adventure Dreams persona 5 kh3 submerged fat princess ONIGIRI Mirror’s Edge last guardian what remains of edith finch ouo I do not have a PC. |
Oh, I have a 3DS...somewhere. It's one with Zelda symbols all over it. For mobile gaming, I tend to use my Vita more (mostly Final Fantasy Tactics, or this slightly weird Sword Art Online game).
|
How is that game? I almost wanted to get the vita to try it out. . .

Which one? SAO? It has some problems, but the battle system is actually pretty cool. They went in and essentially figured out what the SAO game in the anime actually worked like, and implemented that.
The problems break down into: Translation, and the out-of-battle stuff. The translation is atrocious. What the characters say is conveyed, for the most part, but you sort of have to interpret what they're saying, rather than taking it at face value. Similarly, the tutorials are just help screens that point to different things and say what they do, and coupled with that translation means you pretty much have to guess wtf is going on...but once that's figured out, it's neat. Out of battle, it's got some kind of crappy dating sim thing going on, with Kirito having himself a harem all vying for his attention. (Which is extra weird, given he's already married to Asuna at this point.) Also, there's a new, updated version coming out for PS4 (or maybe already out), if you have one of those. I saw some clips of it. MUCH prettier. |
Hmmm is it only a graphics update or do you think they'll fix the translations? I don't mind a word or two but when it's a struggle to read the sentences I get really put off. I'll have to go look it up!
I am not a fan of Kirito flirting with all those other girls, but dating sims are a popular thing right now. |
Mostly it's Kirito being awkward around them, but when not in the renpy style scenes, you can hold hands and shit for some weird reason.
I haven't looked at the PS4 version much, I have the vita version, after all. |
Translation. Oh boy, translation.
Back in the early 2000's there was a little known PS2 game out from Japan, a Tank verson of a Choro-Q based RPG. So you have these little tanks living in a little tank world and, yes, you play a tank. And the translations were simply horrible. Horrible enough to lead to a rather unfortunate description of the M7 Priest. And some rather confusing mission briefings. |
Is that what inspired that game . . . World of Tanks?

Call me a turbonerd, but Seek and Destroy blew me away. I loved it. I wanted more tanks. I grew a sudden soft spot in my heart for tanks and wanted open world tank combat. This went on for years. Suddenly, I see an advert for World of Tanks. At the time it was not announced for America (This was like, 2009). I was devastated. However, not so devastated that I wouldn't try. I broke out my Russian phrasebook and learned enough Russian to apply to their beta and get in. I was in love. I need to go back and play it more. A lot of tryhards have taken it over, but the gameplay is fun and it's enjoyable to run around in tanks that never made it off the drawing board. While it's not hyper realistic, it's true enough to not feel too arcade like. And...and there are a lot of tanks. |
My cat decided to attack me today. I now have a big scratch along my throat. BF says it looks like somebody tried to slit my throat open. I'm hardcore! >3>
