Lots of practice. Don’t force it too quickly, though, or you might damage your vocal cords.

Hm, if you can figure yours out, maybe I’ll dig out my own WHM cosplay from years ago and update it.

Close enough, at least. Wish I could have this hood without the robe attached, I've got different layers I'd much rather be wearing but they don't stack nicely.

Sounds like a Thing you should petition Galla about.

I feel you on that, Chocobo!
I do the opposite, though... I never shave. I feel more comfortable with my body when it's fuzzy. But then, I run into the issue of some people thinking that I am "dirty" or that I "don't care about [my] appearance" because I choose to not shave.

Someone recently thought I was transgender because I am hairy. I'm a cis female and it kinda hurt my feelings a little because I feel happy and feminine, but some people feel as though a hairy woman can never be "feminine" and I don't like that stereotype that hairy women are unclean. :(

I don't know if you're familiar with PatrickStarr, but he has a video on Youtube about how to get the cleanest, smoothest shave

Should we have a white robe party?

Kory 10-16-2019 11:44 PM

Um....

I think "white robe party" doesn't sound great...

Maybe "toga party"??

Francisco 10-17-2019 12:05 AM

I started trying to play Kingdom of Knuffel but I'm mostly just confused.

littl3chocobo 10-17-2019 01:00 AM

actually, funnily enough i picked up the habit from my mother so i totally understand that. she had a fuzzier face than my father some days x''D but yeah no matter how close the shave is the roots are still left in the skin and can be felt with a little pressure. pulling each hair out one by one is time-consuming but it removes even the root which leaves the face softer and keeps away discolouration from stubble, also because the hairs are new and tapered they aren't as dramatic when they emerge after a plucking unlike a shave where they are thicker and sheared so that the exposed base is facing out

it would be generous to say i have a bit of a chavvish face in regards to how thin and spottily it grows(and with my last bout of sickness it is even thinner now and there is a lot less of it) so it always looks bad and unkempt.

i will say this though, if i wasn't so sensitive to chemicals i would definitely take a shiny doll face and just soak the hairs dead but i would just get burns so there is no point

KittyBeary 10-17-2019 01:27 AM

For me it hurts too much to pluck each hair. ;_;

(Also yeah some items don't stack well :x Forever layering problems LOL )

littl3chocobo 10-17-2019 02:38 AM

i can understand that too XD personally i prefer the pain of pulling them all out to the perpetual discomfort of shaving. for me it's just paying up all the discomfort up at once and once the hair is pulled it takes days for the next one to show up so you dont have to do any extra anything while that is happening. besides after like the fifth or six one you kind of adjust to it and it's not so bad(just don't try and grab several at once, that is still heckin' painful). mostly it's a time commitment, can you justify sitting/standing for that long in front of a mirror with a bright light slow-cooking your retinas? XD

Espy 10-17-2019 03:06 AM

Man, wonder if I’d be able to grow facial hair even if I did start HRT.

...TBH I’m probably just better off using makeup to fake it. Did a decent job last time, for what I had on hand. Being an artist pays off.

Coda 10-17-2019 09:44 AM

Lasers, fam. Lasers.

Stabbsworth 10-17-2019 11:11 AM

i'd like to grow facial hair but idk if i'd be able to shave bc i have terrible acne.

littl3chocobo 10-17-2019 01:38 PM

i dunno, are the dudes in your family able to grow beards? if so then it's likely, if not so much the odds might not be in your favor x'''D

i'd think hygiene would be a concern too if you have acne. hair tends to collect stuff if you don't groom fairly regularly

Espy 10-17-2019 05:07 PM

Doesn’t acne get a hella lot worse with second puberty?

MonBon 10-17-2019 10:43 PM

I don't know a lot about the effects of HRT, other than it generally weakens your immune system

Coda 10-17-2019 11:43 PM

Not a doctor, but this is what I think I understand about it...

It's not specifically HRT that weakens your immune system. I think I heard that in the long run it actually strengthens it; for non-trans people, hormone supplementation is used to strengthen the body.

But the initial transition between one's body running on one set of hormones to running on another set causes a lot of biological stress, and that can mess with your immune system just because your body is busy dealing with other stuff.

Merskelly Metalien 10-18-2019 12:10 AM

;U; The pain in my uterus is now less painful than the pain I feel in my emotion sac...yeeeeeyyy~ <3

Stabbsworth 10-18-2019 02:36 PM

i'm already on medication specifically for controlling my acne.

i don't even know if we can get HRT in England.

MonBon 10-18-2019 08:23 PM

Mm, that's not what I've heard Coda, but you may well be right. I don't know a lot about it so I'm not afraid to admit I am out of my league <3

Merskelly Metalien 10-18-2019 08:28 PM

:] I had a dream the other night that I met Rod Serling, and we were folding laundry together for some reason. xD
It was kinda cool!

littl3chocobo 10-18-2019 09:33 PM

well, i've almost exclusively heard that it generally compromises the immune system of those who receive it and a quick check on the internet seems to support that theory with the only rebuttal being that we don't know that much about hrt -shrugs-

Coda 10-18-2019 10:36 PM

The biological stress definitely does compromise the immune system, but frankly we don't have much information at all about long-term effects of trans HRT once a new equilibrium has been established. I'm only able to extrapolate based on non-trans HRT for the long-term effects, where among other things it's prescribed to prevent degradation of immune function in postmenopausal women.

Stabbsworth 10-19-2019 10:20 AM

god, it'd be nice if i could pass as masculine. that'd be nice.

Espy 10-19-2019 02:03 PM

I hate that hair length is coded wrt gender, bc I like having mine kind of choppy, down almost to my shoulders, but there’s just a huge masculinity confidence boost that I get when it’s cut relatively short.

Merskelly Metalien 10-19-2019 02:10 PM

So, my fish dad is kind of also a wizard. <x}
He always just makes the most magical music I could listen to for a long time. :] And he likes to share them with me, so I figured I can share one of them on here!

Biomecha 10-19-2019 03:35 PM

Today did not go well as I'd hoped.

And the neighbors that host parties every other week cut down even more trees, thus removing what little privacy we had left. I don't want to worry about having to let my dog outside while there's a crowd of strangers being noisey and drunk.

KittyBeary 10-19-2019 10:41 PM

I hate having neighbors that party. I have some who seem to have a party every other weekend. Sometimes more. x____x And sometimes they'll be outside drunk or half-drunk in front of their house at 5am. D<

He keeps me from going off the side of the bed, and is nice to rest your head on...but that's all he does. <u<

MonBon 10-19-2019 11:02 PM

My neighbors don't party. They're just loud. And somehow each neighbor that moves in is louder than the last. I want to have a house so I don't have to share walls with people T-T

littl3chocobo 10-20-2019 12:10 AM

can the neighbors be reported for causing regular disturbances? if you feel unsafe and your ability to do daily tasks is inhibited you may have a case

There may be noise or nuisance ordinances too, but those tend to be city-level so I can't help point out specifics.

littl3chocobo 10-20-2019 09:21 PM

it's ok. noone asked for help so you don't have to worry ^^

Merskelly Metalien 10-20-2019 11:40 PM

It's funny, I just looked that video up a couple days ago to fix the metadata on the copy of it on my hard drive.

Fun story: I used to sing that to my son when he was a toddler. It made him giggle so much when I'd bounce in front of him and growl out "mahna mahna!"
