He is the drivering of a small steam boat that helps ferry the main protagonist across a river to the big city. Unfortunately getting caught up in the action his boat is destroyed. He joins in with the party. Showing skill with the sword and offensive magics which surprises even him. |
An ex-assassin who lost his eye when he went after a mark that was beyond his abilities. His past comes out to the party when he finds out the hero is that mark's son.

She's the boss holding the party in the fractured dimension between time. Only creatures of chaos can open a gate to the Home Plane but because they can never exist, normally, in that world they do not help the party. Having been stuck there for so long she lost her mind and thus becoming one of the beings of the chaotic nature of the realm. The party wins the battle and successfully convince her to let them go back home. Before they go she asks them to find her sister- and hands them a beautiful ring tied to a necklace. |

The thief best buddy the game gives you right in the begining that is really annoying but you can't toss her because she's the only thief and has story stuffs and it's really annoying but then she comes back to kick serious ass in the sequel.

The queen of the neighboring nation who has had past troubles with the nation that the protagonist comes from, and has reservations before finally helping him out by letting one of her students accompany him.

The assassin turn-coat who betrays the protagonist, but for a good reason. It looks like a betrayal throughout the entire course of the game, but it comes to light that he was really only faking so he could earn the main villain's trust and get into his lair easier. Wish he woulda toldja that earlier.

The faithful dove that folows you around thought the game and heals you. At the end they turn back into a human revealing that they had been cursed by the last boss.

A Mysterious Guide, whom main character trusts and decides to follow (it might be because he hints at some much needed information on hero's very personal quest), but rest of team doubts his decisions.

The so-called "villain" of the game that is actually trying to help, but the protagonist is too thick-headed and self-righteous to see that. This "villain" eventually becomes the protagonist after the original one's pride and upright personality leads to his demise.
