Furigana is actually pretty rare outside of children's literature and the occasional obscure term.

Chi's Sweet Home is ADORABLE.

If you already had an SNES it was kinda pointless to get a SFC, because the only difference between the two is a little plastic tab inside the SNES's cartridge slot that's easy to just break off with a pair of pliers. I've played Final Fantasy V on my SNES.

Kanji's only one part of Japanese. Even I use a dictionary for more than casual conversation. (And I'm dropping to English here because I'm not sure how to express this in Japanese. :P ) Not knowing a lot of kanji doesn't mean you're bad at the language. The important part is that you're trying to learn!

This one is a lot less likely to saddle you with an obscure term, and you can even ask it to restrict the search to common terms (although the "common" description isn't consistently applied).
