Almost done, but whatever.
My friend Tessa isn't allowed to come into work any more.
She was co-opping. There was a piece of paper that said she was done on the 18th.
Her co-op teacher gave her permission to stay an extra week until the 24th.
That was my deadline to finish it.
Without Tessa, I can't come in every day. So I don't know how they expect me to get it done without a ride.
They've offered me a one way ride. So either to work, or home.
But not both.
And I'm sick of having to ask family to drive me home, because gas is expensive.
At least with Tessa, I had a guaranteed ride home, and she wouldn't charge me since it's not out of her way.

...Oh, and Tessa thinks that when I'm done, they're gonna make up some reason to not pay me.
(/shrugs)
I've been working on it for 2 months.
I'm only getting 142 out of it.
It's just not worth the shit I've been having to deal with when it comes to them.

littl3chocobo 01-20-2013 11:47 PM

it sounds sucky dude

Honey 01-20-2013 11:47 PM

It seems as though they really aren't respecting the fact that you and your family are probably spending so much on gas and commute that how much you are getting will not make up for it. It is completely unfair to you and your work.

Pathosis 01-20-2013 11:50 PM

I know...
And what sucks is, I can't tell them I'm quitting right just yet.
Tessa warned me not to, because they'll hide my paints and claim I never had any.
So she said go in on Tuesday, paint a bit, and if they get pissy with me tell them I'm done and walk out with my stuff.
And to make sure I have ALL of my stuff.
Then demand compensation for all the paints I've had to buy to finish this mural.
Since I have most of the receipts.
(/shrugs)
They've made my first work experience miserable.

poor sweetie

Honey 01-20-2013 11:52 PM

Just don't give up on working all together just because your first employers were awful.

Honey 01-20-2013 11:56 PM

how /good/ was the dream?

Honey 01-21-2013 12:01 AM

>w> Pretty good.

Pathosis 01-21-2013 12:03 AM

It's not just that they're horrible employers.
It's that I don't trust them to not screw me over.
I've been warned by two people, who I know and trust, that they flake out on people easily.
They were going to close down the shop because they weren't paying their bills.
Which would have screwed me over. I lost a day of painting because of that.
And right now I need every day I can get...

If I had a real job, I would never quit it, even if the employers were evil.
But these guys are just temporary.
I could have earned more money than what they're paying me in a day if I could land a real job in town.

littl3chocobo 01-21-2013 12:05 AM

tomato soup with slices of frest and toasted cheese sandwiches and a can of milk

Honey 01-21-2013 12:05 AM

I would just say keep going with you plan to get all of your things back before going anything, bit I hope that you can find a job in town so you do not have to deal with them anymore.

@Pacho-shii:You know, I think it was good that you got to deal with bad employers, I mean... when you get a new job, at least you would know how to deal with them because you'll say... "Oh, I've BEEN here, this is what I will do..."
right? o3o
