hahhaahah Well it's not much on this site, but it can get expensive... AND it's a summer festival thing so in stores it is seasonal.

I know i am gonna order some this weekend.

Mika 10-10-2012 06:59 PM

Haha I'll just wait till I go to japan to eat some. ;3

Demonskid 10-10-2012 07:07 PM

Mika 10-10-2012 07:12 PM

It's just sugar. XD

Demonskid 10-10-2012 07:16 PM

whitexsuicide 10-10-2012 07:55 PM

Though i have been watching Spirited Away too much and now i want Tempura and Konpeito... And like i said it's seasonal so i can't just go adn pick it up at the market...TT^TT

Mika 10-10-2012 08:48 PM

Ehe. According to the Trisphee site rules you're supposed to write the English equivalent of foreign-language text that you post. And since I can actually read what you wrote here, I can say that you haven't done that. ;)

(For everyone else: She said "Um... well. Shall we speak Japanese together?")

はい!話そう :)
Yes! Let's talk :)

Mika 10-10-2012 09:56 PM

Oh, I definitely didn't for that one, but only cause I forgot to edit it in. You realize I've only been on trisphee for a day, right?

Mika 10-10-2012 10:02 PM

It takes a bit to memorize all the rules. ^^

Coda 10-10-2012 11:19 PM

Which is why I just gave you a polite reminder. You're not in trouble; I was just letting you know what the rules are.

Mika 10-10-2012 11:27 PM

Ah, some people don't realize I'm new because of the avatar. Hermes gave me a bunch of stuff for joining. x3

Coda 10-11-2012 01:17 AM

*points to colored username* We staff keep track of new users. It's sort of our job. :P

Mika 10-11-2012 12:25 PM

But it was late!! O: You could forget!!!

whitexsuicide 10-11-2012 12:56 PM

Konnichiwa, mina!
Good afternoon, everyone!

Samui desu, nee.
It's very cold.

How would you ask: "What about where you are?" Or anything similar...

Mika 10-11-2012 01:13 PM

Minna is spelt with two n's, because it's written like this: みんな。

If you would like to say "very" you can use Totemo if you like. Totemo samui desu. If you ever need to negate and use "Very", Amari works well. "Amari atsukunai desu." would mean "It's not very hot." for example. Chotto means a little. "Chotto samui desu." is "It's a little cold."

What about you is easiest as "Anata mo?" Which means "You as well?" And can be used for any question like that. ;3

And since you're using polite form and not casual form, it's more natural to say "Minna-san" in this context. To keep all the grammar matching.

whitexsuicide 10-11-2012 01:35 PM

ugh i hate not being in my Japanese class.. it was so long along.. You just re-taught me stuff i learned in class about 5 years ago... isn't that sad?

Mika 10-11-2012 01:40 PM

It's fair. If you don't use a language on a regular basis, it's hard to retain the ability to use it. ;3 Especially if it's been five years.

かなしくなさそう!
It doesn't look sad!

whitexsuicide 10-11-2012 02:10 PM

yea but it's only really been two years since i was in that class... and i love the culture and the language to bits.. you would think that i would be able to remember the simple stuff....>>

Mika 10-11-2012 02:25 PM

Not if you don't get to use it everyday... >>

Coda 10-11-2012 03:12 PM

If you're asking about "there" you might say "soko wa dou?" ("How is (it) there?") or more fully, "soko ni tenki wa dou?" ("how is the weather there?")

"soko mo samui desu ka?" would be "is it cold there, too?"

Mika 10-11-2012 03:18 PM

THOSE ARE ALL GOOD ONES. <3
-chews on Coda-

Coda 10-11-2012 03:45 PM

Oh, added note, "dou desu ka" would be a less casual way of ending the sentence, if you need to be more polite.

whitexsuicide 10-11-2012 03:48 PM

that is why he is the lead Teacher here *cuddles Coda*

Demonskid 10-11-2012 03:48 PM

*takes notes of this* Oxo

Mika 10-11-2012 03:52 PM

Challenge accepted, Coda. >:D

Coda 10-11-2012 03:54 PM

... what challenge? >.>;

Mika 10-11-2012 03:57 PM

This challenge. It's so on.

Demonskid 10-11-2012 03:58 PM

*sees no challenge* @-@

whitexsuicide 10-11-2012 03:58 PM

a challenge? of lead teacher maybe????

Demonskid 10-11-2012 03:59 PM

that there depends on how easily people can explain stuff to me xD I don't understand stuff

whitexsuicide 10-11-2012 04:00 PM

hmm that is true... I don't do so well when they are not here... i need the formal school setting.. or it just doesn't work

Mika 10-11-2012 04:00 PM

Challenge of being coolest kid ever.

Demonskid 10-11-2012 04:01 PM

I'd like the school setting to see how I do but I can't find one thats good price

whitexsuicide 10-11-2012 04:04 PM

@mika: good luck

@dk: I'm sure you will find one some day.

Mika 10-11-2012 04:05 PM

I like the school setting for motivation. It keeps me working on it on a schedule instead of my laziness stalling me hardcore.

Demonskid 10-11-2012 04:06 PM

I hope I will. doing stuff self study goes so slow for me xD its because i'm slow =w=

Mika 10-11-2012 04:08 PM

D: Oh laaaaaame.
Keep looking!!

Demonskid 10-11-2012 04:09 PM

online schools are so expensive ono

Mika 10-11-2012 04:13 PM

Indeed. :C I found a teacher locally that would hold a weekend class for like 20 bucks a week or something. It wasn't that bad.

Maybe something like that is around?
