YW, and yeah, the oranges you get from stores are O.K. You should try one right off the tree. They're always better that way.

Bina Fydan 08-07-2010 02:35 PM

@Vai: There's a orange tree next door in my parents back yard that over hangs, it's all about taking care of them, yet the neighbors don't.. so they don't taste as great.. but we sure do pick lemons off. Lol If I had a lemon and orange tree I would take better care of it. There used to be a plum tree too behind us in the backyard but the people moved out and new people moved in, took the tree out.. I was sad.. I was in fruit heaven. lol

Well, at my sweetheart's, he's got four orange trees, a lime tree, and a lemon tree all in his yard. Then, at his brother-in-law's house (his sister passed away) they've got a grapefruit tree, and some tangerine trees. Back on my street, we've got like.. 6 banana trees, a bunch of orange hybrid trees, and a grapefruit tree... The grapefruits on our street, ... they're enormous. Sliced open, they're easily 5-6" in diameter.

@Vai: *o*... *drools*

I have an orange tree or two in my backyard.

It's Florida. We all do. :<

Gwynllid 08-07-2010 02:51 PM

We actually don't have any fruit trees on our own property. Just.. the whole neighborhood sharing thing. Once you have a tree in your yard, you don't really care for the fruit because the novelty of it is gone.. Though, as to the rarity of someone in Florida having no access to fresh citrus.. Yes, I was alluding to that. x3

Where in Florida are you stuck? Silver's in Broward, and I'm in Volusia.

Bina Fydan 08-07-2010 02:54 PM

Wow, interesting. I learned something new everyday. Lol

Sadrain 08-07-2010 02:58 PM

-crawls in- @o@

Gwynllid 08-07-2010 03:01 PM

Bina: Yes, there's always something left to learn, isn't there?

Hello, Sadrain. How are you doing today?

Sadrain 08-07-2010 03:03 PM

Hello Vaidurya. I am doing not very well. -sighs- But it will get better now, since sun has already set and it's getting cooler. Shouldn't feel so bad anymore soon. Hopefully.

Overall, thank you for asking, and how are you?

johnny 08-07-2010 03:07 PM

I live in Jacksonville.

And no, I never get tired of oranges. Or the tangerines that we have, either. Or... anything from the miniature farm that my neighbor has, or the oranges my other neighbor has. So don't really know where the whole "novelty" thing comes from, pretty much anyone who grows stuff in their yard here likes the fact that it's there and enjoys eating it.

Sadrain 08-07-2010 03:13 PM

Heya Plushie! How are you today? What did doctor say about your contacts/eyes in the end?

Sei 08-07-2010 03:13 PM

Mini Mule 08-07-2010 03:13 PM

Gwynllid 08-07-2010 03:16 PM

Sei: Hello! :3

johnny: Well, that's good for you guys, then. I just grow bored with fruit trees after the first decade of having them. You know, take them for granted and whatnot because you get so used to them.

Sadrain: I'm doing allright. Tired, and annoyed by all the storms crossing through, but overall I'm just fine. :3

minimule: Mainly, citrus plants and Florida.
