Stress, dehydration, and lighting (I hate Strobe Lights)

I have sensory issues. I get sensory overload, and if I get it bad enough all I can do is rock myself and cry inside.

Yeeeup! All I'd eaten then yet was a slice of pumpkin pie. XD

On a lighter note, I found out why that grey blob thing looks so weird to me.

I have sensory issues too. If I get overstimulated, I feel like my brain's on a hamster wheel, and I have to retreat to someplace quiet and sleep. I can't even handle being online at those points. It makes me feel guilty as *bleep* for it, because I can't focus and I can't even handle conversing with the people I like talking to best.

And then there are the days when not even Tam saying something extremely out of character can get me to laugh (if only from the sheer shock of her doing that, because she's far more polite with her language and mannerisms than I am), and the spiral aims downward at a very steep angle. I've had quite a few of those days since the start of the year. It's only the fact that I have a VERY long list of people who would be disappointed in me if I did something stupid that stops me, on those days.

I'm not even sure what's "wrong" with me per se, but I strongly suspect either depression or bipolar. I also tested and found it's highly likely that I'm in the Autism Spectrum. I was diagnosed with ADD/ADHD-Inattentive Type as a 7-8 year old (unusual for girls in the 1990s, before it started being more commonly diagnosed), but as I got older, the things meant to treat it and let me function the way the majority of my classmates did started failing one by one. I finally stopped being medicated by choice when I was a freshman in college, which was kind of dumb of me at the time, but it was either go cold turkey, or spend the entire school year in a headfog so thick I could barely function. I haven't been on those medications since 2005.

Though, I should add that I don't get to the point of helpless rocking anymore. At forty one years old I've learned how to pace myself. Now I just get to the twitchy and bibbly and headache stage at worst.

I have a RP Captain America who moved out to a quiet little cave in a box canyon, and I needed to find him something to cook on. The buddy burner seemed to fill the bill. LOL

And in the process, she found a whole bunch of different types of lightweight stoves that can be made with common materials! :D

Yuuup. Which pleased my geeky heart.

It also gave me a few ideas on things I can make...

*hug* No. I know. I was thinking how you'd probably really enjoy being able to have some hot food sometimes. Though, have you ever tried sitting a can on your hood? I mean, I've actually, as a kid, grilled tent caterpillars on the truck hood on a hot day, so wouldn't it work to warm a can of nom?

I think I remember eating food that had been made on an engine once or twice as a kid.

Your family travelled a lot?

My Mom ,my sister, and I went camping a lot when I was young. I'm pretty sure some of the men used the engine to cook sometimes.

I'm feeling so yucky right now that I actually do miss the heat a little bit. But at the same time I'm glad that either I or the temperature (not sure which) is cold.

Oooh.... I definitely feel that one. I was on implanon after my eldest was born and it completely effed up my cycle... My period was 2 weeks long every 2 weeks... I'm sorry that genetics have done that to you... :( *offers comfort foods and other tasty treats*
