Hi, have you ever thought of putting some hadith in your library? I might be biased as a muslim but if you have a list of demons in your section some hadith would be good as well. I recommend some from Sahih al-Bukhari.
|
Ohh...thank you!
I am trying to keep it an unbiased/well-rounded library. :) I'll look for them now. *Puts on Demon detector gear to Ghost Busters Theme Music* ...The last part was meant fully in jest. The first part was not. I'll look for a good source for people to learn about them, and when I do, credit you for alerting me to them. |
Thanks Law. *settles in for a good long nap* Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
|
And...It is done. While there were likely some better sources, most had popups that detracted from the text. I try to avoid that when I can.
Oh, and I need to change the Tao Te Ching link - it is no longer working. |
*hugs Kilala*

Infrastructure, more than likely.
|
No. I mean, the actual, how is that supposed to work.
|
Don't have foggiest notion as to that.
Either the attempt will f*** things up, or someone smarter than me (and hopefully not corrupt) has it figured out. |
Hrrrm. Indeed.
... *leaves lemon tarts on the cafe table* |

<A< *takes a lemon tart and hides under the table* |
And now I want lemon pie. Nice and not too sweet. Though my belly's rebelling and I wouldn't be able to eat it right now.
|
\(OoO)/
Now I crave Lemon Tarts! |
Bahaha!
*turns thoughtful* I wonder if I could get to the bank in time to get cash for lemon tarts? Edit: I decided to walk down to Save On Foods to buy a lemon pie. When I reached the store I had to walk past the deli section to get to the bakery section, and I saw onion rings. So once I'd grabbed the lovely big pie I came back and got $1.27 worth of rings. I sat down to eat after buying them, and a guy in his sixties in plain clothes sat down at a table next to mine with a shepherds pie to eat. Once we were both done our food I glanced over and we talked a bit. He was quiet and polite, and he was a bit wistful as he asked if that was a lemon pie. I offered him a piece, and his reply was, "Yes, please." So I scooped one out onto the top of the thing his pie came in, and the piece that I ate tasted better because the pie had been shared. |
Awww, Tam, that's sweet. :)
|
That was beautiful, Tam.
|
Aaand now I'm embarrassed. I was just wanting to share a good story that was the completion of my lemon tart comments. lol
|
Well, since we are talking about sweets...
Cake! Candles on a cake are linked to old rituals to drive off evil spirits (said to come by on one's birthday)...or they started as a sort of "holy honeyed bread" offering to Artemis (Diana) (As a sister of Apollo...the fires and all...) People made noise and partied around the guest of honor as a way to confuse evil spirits, and they gave wishes and gifts, somewhat like Solstice/New Years/Christmas. So...CAKE!!! |
Aww. That's awesome Tam! :) Kinda made my night reading that.
How's everyone doing? OH! And I got contacts today!! *dances around happily* I only have to wear my gimpy broken glasses at night between taking my contacts out and going to bed! *dances more and snags a lemon tart of the table* Woo hoo!! *sets out drinks to go with the tarts* |
>.> I have been told my eyesight is too bad for most contacts ;~;
Congrats, Kilala! *Dances with* *Starts ritual to summon the Glasses Repair Fairy* Potestas cum Salve kommen heir agros! (Don't try to translate: it is jumbled jibberish) |

I'm tired. Before the day's half over. o.0 *chugs lemon drink* I don't think I could wear contacts. My eyes sting about nothing already. That, and the expense. |
only reason I'd wear contacts would be for a costume...and it'd have to be a costume I'd get a lot of wear out of... because those types of contacts are ex-pen-sive.
|
LOL MONSTER EYES.
Yesterday it was terribly hot and humid. Today, is steady, lovely, RAIN. |
it's hot and humid here... when it's not raining...
|
That's very true Tam. Shearing makes things taste better.
|
I see Senaiji! *hugs the serious dragon guy*

Today, I got to be sort of nerdy. There was a "We Are Batman" event at a comic book shop, and they were giving away a couple of freebies, so I went and got a mask and a comic. The mask makes me look a bit cross-eyed, tbh. I'll upload the picture and share it tomorrow.
|
At church yesterday the lady who leads songs talked about how she and her brother, as little children, talked their parents into going to a shopping mall across town from where they lived, because the paper or the TV said that Batman would be there. Well, they got there, and it was Adam West, out of costume. She said none of the kids wanted a thing to do with the guy, because he wasn't Batman. LOL

I guess kids weren't as nerdy then, or something. LOL
|
While I admit I am not as much of an Adam West Batman fan, it would still have been very cool to see. :D
|
Got a couple checks cashed, put gas in Percy (I now have more than enough to get to work each day this week and I get paid on Friday, too! Score!), and now enjoying a good breakfast. Parmigiano Reggiano rinds are totally a breakfast food. XD

I just realized that the tiny vial of glitter I have would be the ultimate weapon. If anyone got fresh with me, or ticked me off enough, I'd toss some of the glitter on them, and they'd then have to spend hours trying to clean it all off... microglitter is awesome. *is just a bit of a brat sometimes*
|
Ack! The Horror! The Glitter!
*Flees from the Glitter Valkyrie, AutobotDen* |
*crawls under the couch. Takes a fan with me*
|
*cackles wickedly* I'm the great and terrible AutobotDen!!! Fear my glittery might!!!
|
*hovers by Den* So... I hear you like putting glitter on things. * w*
|
NOOOO!!! THE DEN TEAMS UP WITH THE GLITTER-GHOST!!! THE APOCALYPSE IS UPON US!!!
XD ...I'll stop with the caps now... |
