ok. i am teaching my pokemonz some HMs.. i know nai would be the negative and stuff but when i go to search on what the kana was for this kana i find something slightly different!

On the game i see:
覚えられない Can't Learn
覚えられる Can Learn
覚えている Learned


all i can find is:
覚える [おぼえる]

ono if i try to use the one i find to try and make the ones on the game i can't find the proper kanji x.x, I had to search "Learn" just to find what i did x.x,

what are the proper readings for this kanji?

The last one is the dictionary form of the word. The second one is the potential form of the verb (so they are able to learn) the first one is the negative potential (they are unable to learn) and the third one is the current (currently know, more or less)

I'm not really sure what the question is o3o

"Learned" isn't really an appropriate translation there. 覚えている is more like "is learning", although the nuance could also be translated as "learned" depending on context (since it could be interpreted as "is in the state of learning").

The -eru conjugation is the "potential" form, meaning the "can do X" form; it's just a normal -ru verb after that conjugation, so -nai works the normal way.

OuO is it just like in the anime?! Different then american ones where it's just a seat.. xp its a little um.. what are they called.. ono cell with seats? this way you don't feel like your gonna slip out and fall

The bathroom itself? Not quite, it's too small I think. It's got a hand-held lil thingy and holders on the wall. So I just stick it up on the taller holder and keep it there so it's like a regular (albeit small) shower. And the tub I haven't used. It's like, squarish, and you just... sit in it. XD

i ment the farris wheel xD did you get close enough to see the box thingies you get into? all the american ones scare me cause the person next to me likes to rock them and i slide and feel like i'm gonna fall ;-;

the farris wheel in the anime is a box with seats.. so if they make it rock you feel safe cause of the walls on all sides x3

No, you said "I don't buy." Remember, you conjugate -u to -eru to create the potential form (or, for ru-verbs, -ru to -rareru), and then you apply the negative to THAT.

o.o' I don't know if DK ever learned the conjugation for that.

Potential Form

To make the potential form, start with the plain form of the verb.

For -u verbs, change the -u to -eru. For example, 飲む (nomu, to drink) becomes 飲める (nomeru, to be able to drink).
For -ru verbs, change the -ru to -rareru. For example, 食べる (taberu, to eat) becomes 食べられる (taberareru, to be able to eat).

The new verb is always a -ru verb, so the negative potential forms are 飲めない (nomenai, to be unable to drink) and 食べられない (taberarenai, to be unable to eat). The normal polite formations for -ru verbs apply too, so you might have 飲めます or 食べられません.

There are two exceptions to the rule:

The potential form of する (suru, to do) is 出来る (dekiru, to be able to do).
The potential form of 来る (kuru, to come) is 来られる (korareru, to be able to come).

[Aside: While 行く (iku, to go) is considered an irregular verb like suru and kuru, it is regular here -- its potential form is 行ける (ikeru, to be able to go.)]

Edit: So when you hear someone say "yamerarenai!", you can see that they mean "yameru + -rareru", meaning "I can't quit!" or "I can't give up!"

It's considered slang, but for these types of verbs you may also encounter cases where the -rareru is just -reru　（食べる(taberu - to eat)→食べれる(tabereru - to be able to eat) 、帰る(kaeru - to return)→帰れる (kaereru -
to be able to return)
This case also functions as a -ru verb.

諦める(akirameru - to give up)→諦められない(akiramerarenai - to be unable to give up)→諦めれない(akiramerenai - to be unable to give up)

It should also be noted that you do not use the direct object particle を(wo/o) with the potential form. Instead, use は(ha/wa) or が(ga).
扉が開けた　(Tobira ga aketa - I/He/She/It was able to open the door/gate)
日本語が話せる (Nihongo ga hanaseru - I/He/She/It can speak Japanese)

There's not a whole lot of surprising grammar here, so you should be able to follow the translation for the vocabulary. The only thing that might be an unknown is "nareba", which is "naru" (to become) + -eba (conditional form). It might be more directly translated as "if it becomes tomorrow", but it can also mean "when".
