Mew spent a lot of the day merely wandering around the expansive hotel. She eventually settled in the lobby. She had her sketch book in hand as she walked into the large room.
As she passed by the receptionist, Shanelle, she waved to her with her free hand and smiled. She found a comfortable seat on the far wall of the lobby and made herself at home. She opened her sketch book to a blank page, clicked the mechanical pencil a few times, and started sketching out tall female figures with long, flowing dresses on the white page. |
Espy had unpacked everything in her rather spacious room, and was now looking for extra coat hangers in the closet. A fuzzy bathrobe greeted her. This hotel's got nice stuff... she mused.
Packing a few things into her purse, she took the key and went downstairs. |
Once Night had finished lunch, she had headed back upstairs to her room to grab a few things. Her iPod, a pencil and pen, and a pad of paper were with her once she left the room again. Afterwards, she headed out to the pool where several others were already and sat. She flipped to a blank page in the pad she had with her and after turning on her music, began to draw.

Sighing, White looked at her watch and was very displeased. There were about two contestants that had yet to check in and if they were going to be this late, she had not the patience to wait for them. She closed her book and rose from her bed, looking at the time. She shook her head and groaned inwardly. This just would not do. She walked downstairs and found Shannelle, slightly frightening the woman with how angry she seemed to be. "Are you sure there have not been any of my other contestants to check in? I didn't think any of them would be quite this late..." she scoffed out to the woman, making it obvious that she wasn't angry with her, only with her contestants. "I am so sorry, Miss White. I've informed yo of all of the contestants that have checked in... I haven't seen any more," Shannelle said with a shake of her head, feeling bad for that fact. "Thank you, Shannelle. Please let me know if any more check in," White said and shook her head. She grumbled and made her way out to the pool, with hr book under her arm. |
[[I would also like to say that White will make a formal announcement to everyone in the roleplay about the dinner as well.]] |
Wicked woke feeling as if she had been sleeping for days, her head aching as if it was filled with cotton. A quick call to room service for a pitcher of coffee and Advil would be sure to cure any woes.
|
Lucid was starting to feel anxious about the competition. She stood in front of her closet, looking through her collection of clothes for the hundreth time and matching things together. She knew her closet well, but after getting to know some of the competitors, she felt like she needed to know for sure exactly what she had at her disposal. Feeling a little bit insecure, she wandered out and perused the local shops, looking for some cute accessories that she could add to her collection.

He sighed pulling at his old clothes. He felt so out of place down here. Everything looked so expensive. He heard the bus behind him pull away and the sound made him jump. He sighed and shook his head. Just had to do this. Lift your chin and walk in like you own the place, or something to that effect. He then went to move his leg. It didn’t. He tried to move his arm. It stayed limp at his side. He tried to fling his body forward just to move. He stayed where he was. He was frozen where was…With Fear. Well this was embarrassing. Not to mention he was pretty late already, and now this.
‘Come one Padfoot.’ He thought to himself. ‘You can do this, you already got this far.’ He shook his head, which just proved that had working control again. Good inner pep-talk. He smiled to himself a smug smile, and waltz into the hotel, towards the receptionist desk. He pushed his hair behind his ear and leaned to on the counter. “Excuse me I’m here for a completion, I was told I need to check in.” He smiled, trying to look dazzling in his plaid, button up shirt, and dark jeans. If anything he just looked really out of place. |
Looking at the new arrival, Shannelle couldn't help but laugh a little. She snickered to herself and nodded her head. "What's the name, sweetcheeks?" she asked in her Jersey accent. "Can't look you up without a name... Also, stop trying so hard. You're embarrassing yourself." She then openly laughed a little, making it obvious that she found his efforts to be quite comical. She then placed her fingers on the keyboard, waiting for the man to tell her his name. She could have him a card key and out of her hair within a minute if she had that. |
Padfoot sighed and nodded his head. “Just a little nervous is all...Thought I’d try and cover that up. Anyways the names Padfoot.” He said standing up straight and acting normal. He knew that the act wouldn’t fool anyone, why did he even try? He let out another sigh as he waited for the receptionist to do her magic.
|
"Don't be discourages, hun," Shannelle said with a wink. She then typed the name into the computer and found it quickly. "Here you go. Your room number is on the card key. It's on the second floor. I'll be sure to let White know you're here now. Also, make sure to not get this card key next to your cell phone, lest you deactivate it." She then grabbed the walkie talkie. "Also... Good luck.~" |
********************* Tigers Den Charity! ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ Just taking a stroll, Samuel sees White across from him. He walks up to her, but being sneeky... "BBBOOO!!!" *I hope I did not scare her that much xD* ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ INVO SALE! --&-- SELL ME YOUR RUNES! ********************* |
Just turning her head to see him, White wasn't very happy because all of the contestants were not here yet. There was one more that needed to arrive here and they were already very late. She then groaned and shook her head, standing up and walking away from Samuel. She went back into the hotel and made her way up to her room. She then sat on her bed and put the radio beside of her. She figured she didn't come off as too nice to Samuel, but she wasn't feeling very chipper right now. |
Airu had gotten out of the pool not to long ago before her skin started to become a victim of getting pruny. She was sitting in the of the lounging chair that was facing away from the sun. It was nice to just sit there and close your eyes. Looking at small stool next to her she saw a couple magazines and grabbed on and started flipping through the pages to see if there was anything interesting.
|
He gave her a grateful smile. “Thank you. I’ll try to keep it from deactivating.” he looked at the number before placing it in his pocket. He turned away and head upstairs to put away his stuff before searching for the one they called White. This all took him ten minutes before he was satisfied with how his room was before he set out to find the person in charge. He stopped but the receptionist desk.
“Excuse me? Uhm where can I find uhh…White?” |
Looking up, she found it comical to see the same person again. "White? She's in her room now. I saw her go up stairs and she hasn't come back down yet... She's in room 200. She didn't look too happy though... As a warning." |
********************* Tigers Den Charity! ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------------------------------------- Samuel was astonished by judge White's action she just displayed to him. So, now he was not feeling to good either. He is hoping that this little action would not take any bad toll to how he does in the contest. -Sad- ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------------------------------------- INVO SALE! --&-- SELL ME YOUR RUNES! ********************* |
Jurinjo fumbled with the rolling traveling bag as it got caught on the indent of the automatic door. If he had to strength in his arms to carrying it the entire time he would have but no he had to fall back to it's convenient rolling feature. He was generally a confident young man who just didn't care what other people thought. When it came to competition though this whole other side came out where he was conscious of everything.
The second of inepitude came and went. Jurinjo tried to simply calm his nerves as he went to the receptionist's desk. "Hello, I'm Jurinjo. Competing in the fashion contest. Is this the right hotel?" |
Padfoot tapped his chin in thought and shook his head. “Nah, She’s in her room I’ll let her relax for a bit. Plus if she’s not in a good mood, I’d rather be on her good die then her bad.” He said pulling way from the counter. “I’ll wander, thank you again for the help.” He turn on his heel and walked away. He around the lobby before choosing a direction he wanted to explore.

After spending a good few hours unpacking her suitcases, Duchess was extremely tired (even though she didn't even lift a finger). It occurred to her that maybe she should take a walk around the hotel considering she would definitely be staying the full five weeks for when she is crowned victorious.
She chucked to herself at the thought of crushing her opponents, whoever they may be.... "Handmaidens! You may take your leave." She nodded in the direction of the ladies who did all her unpacking for her as they swiftly left the room, leaving her with her lady-in-waiting, Jess. "Come on Jess." Duchess smiled sweetly at the woman she knew for all of her life. "Shall we take a tour of this place? I saw a pool downstairs on our arrival and you do know I love a good swim." "I shall prepare your suit in bag just in case." Jess smiled back at her. "Excellent!" She affirmed as they both left the hotel suite and took the elevator down to the ground floor. |
Nikko walked about across the pool in his swimming trunks and found a nice place to sit and read his book for a short while. A yawn came from him the leaned back in a seat that he had picked. "This looks like a nice to place to sit for a while."

After she had been told that every single contestant had been checked in, White's short fuse grew a few inches. She was on the verge of exploding because of all of this... But now she was better. Much better... She opened the door to her room a little too hard, but didn't care much as it hit the wall and bounced back. She just stepped out of the door fast enough that the door simply closed back. She then made her way down the stairs and to the receptionist. She looked at the woman and slammed her own hands down on the counter. She leaned forward some and took a deep breath. "If you see any of my contestants walk by here, please... For the love of god and all that is holy... Tell them to meet me out by the pool..." she said to Shannelle, who replied with a quick nod and a worried blink or two. White then turned away from the woman and began her trek outside to the pool area. |
((By the way do I have to know my room number? @Duchess: This is a good time for your characters to cross paths maybe stir the beginnings of drama? Jurinjo won't do anything at first but it could escalate since it seems inevitable for her personality to push his buttons heh)) Jurinjo who was only just told his room assignment unintentionally made a nervous nod at the curt woman at the same time as the receptionist. After she had gone enough paces away he exhaled. "wow that was one of the judges huh?" He knew where he had to go now...after he moved his belongings into his room of course. He walked quickly to the elevator. Hitting the button more than once hoping that would speed up its arrival. Regrettably he was already late and one of the judges was looking to be a tough one. |
Duchess engaged in a very self-absorbed chat about her self with her lady-in-waiting. When she saw the elevator doors open to reveal this young man standing right in front of the doors. She flashed her award winning smile and stepped out elevator.
((OOC: zomg... my friend just told me that she thought I was about to type she flashed her "chest")) She never missed an opportunity to put herself out there and be recognized by the lesser people. "Hello there!" She outstretched a hand to greet Jurinjo. "You may refer me as THE Duchess. And who may you be?" |
((xDD If she did that you can expect him to nosebleed as he oogles her breasts haha. Or maybe I been readin too much manga)) The elevator doors opened to one of the more horrid music ever created but the sheer sexiness radiating off the girl. Then of course she HAD to open her mouth and communicated so obviously a princess...or rather "duchess". That warm smile and siren's voice meant nothing when he could tell the person behind it. Momentarily the thought occured to him to try to shake her hand with his right (where he held is suit case) and "accidentally" hit her with it. Bowing slightly, "Hello I'm Jurinjo. Someone good-looking as you must be in this fashion contest I heard about no?" he said putting on a completely fake Italian accent. |
Espy took the stairs at a run. The elevator was in use, and she needed the exercise anyways. Her iPod jumped in her pocket as she leaped down the flights two steps at a time. Running out of the stairwell, she heard the elevator still coming down. Viiiiiictory! she thought in her goofy way.
(Is it going down or up? Espy is conffuzled.) |
[[Jur... That made my day.]] Making her way out to the pool, she noticed, to no avail, that some of the contestants were out here already. It didn't matter though, not until every single one of them were. She shook her head and groaned as she sat down on one of the lawn chairs and crossed her arms over her chest. She just looked around at the people as she waited for the rest of the contestants to make their way out here so she could tell them the announcement. |
Duchess winced slightly at the impact of the suitcase of her shin.
"Are you ok, dear?" Jess asked concerned, but Duchess simply nodded her head with a pained smile in her direction. "Yes I am from that contest. Are you as well?" She asked eyeing the suitcase that hit her. She dreadfully wanted to head out to the pool now, but a débutante such as herself must not let her inner desires show when facing the commoners. |
Airu pulled the towel that she had placed over her eyes to shied from the brightness, when she heard someone. Sitting up she shielded her eyes to adjust to the sun. Once they did looking around she noticed White had made her way out to the pool as well, also a few others. Maybe they had all arrived finally. She sighed as she stood up, slinging her towel over her shoulder, and headed next to White. "So.. have they all arrived finally?" She took a seat in a chair nearby.
|
Glancing up at her co-host, the look on her face just screamed that she wasn't very happy. "Of course they did... Finally," she said with a roll of her eyes and a gruff sigh. She wanted this to go much better than it was already, but she knew she would calm down pretty soon. She just had to regain her composure and tell everyone at the same time what the first round was. |
((@White: I got my own secret delight out of it as well lol @Duchess: oops I meant to communicate he only imagined hitting her with it. But oh well moving on @Espy: Duchess rode the elevator down. And now I am riding it up.)) "Why yes I am thank you for asking. At least I don't give the impression of being just anyone either. I hope the contest is separated by gender though. It would be hard to compete against you." Jurinjo fluffed her ego a bit before excusing himself. "One of the judges is calling some kind of meeting down at the pool. I better get going I'm already late as you can see." This time he completely dropped the accent, not giving Duchess a chance to reply as the elevator door closed. But he smiled and waved politely as it did so. |
Mew walked down to the pool, knowing that was where everyone was supposed to meet in order to have an important announcement. She was very excited now that everyone was here. She couldn't wait to see what all of the contestants were going to be showing them.
She was smiling broadly as she entered the pool area and walked over to where White and Airu were waiting. "It's about time," she said with a grin, making it obvious that she was eager to start this thing. |
Duchess' smile faded quickly as she saw the elevator doors close. She turned to Jess in a huff.
"Could you believe that man?" She pouted and whined, " Oh why I oughta... Come now, Jess-darling!" She sauntered over through the doors to the pool area. One could hear her disgust in her heavy footsteps even though her facial expression remained sweet. She continued ranting about commoners these days until she saw the familiar faces of the judges who looked absolutely beautiful in person, lounging about. A huge genuine grin appeared on her face. |
Airu nodded to White's answer, assuming so. She leaned back in her chair just as Mew had walked up. "Hey.." Airu let out as she got there. She shrugged and rolled her eyes. "Now hopefully they can make it to the pool in time. I'd rather not have any more things be late." She reached up to her hair and pulled it back into a loose ponytail. "Well.. For White's sake." Airu let out a small laugh.
|
Mew laughed as well.
"Seriously, I'd hate to see White erupt," she said, grinning over at said person. She turned to her and patted her on the shoulder. "Hey, maybe the waiting will be forgiven when they show us why they're here," she said, hoping to ease her friend's temper. |
Espy took a deep breath and continued running, nearly barreling into two women as she turned a corner. Ducking right in between them, she turned backwards and yelled, "Sorry!" while pushing the door open with one hand and almost sprinting headlong into the pool. She caught herself teetering at the edge.
Backing up a few paces, she suddenly noticed two of the judges. Whoops. Not the best first impression. (Yeah, I'm close to being that clumsy irl x_X Not the best thing ever.) |
Fully dressed, feed and caffeinated Wicked dressed, did her make up and made her way down to the lobby. A short sleeved blouse and very small shorts and strappy sandals were perfect for visiting the pool. Humming the classic number from the elevator she went straight through the loby and out to the patio. |
Airu's attention was brought over to the entrance of the hotel from loud 'sorry'. She smiled when she noticed they were a couple of more contestants. "Well lookie here. Glad some are making it on time." She crosses her arms and rested on leg over the other. "Quite an entrance I guess you can say." She laughed at the one who about had a quick dive.
|
As Espy stumbled into the pool area, Mew waved at her and smiled.
"Heh, better than a late entrance," she said to Airu. "Glad you could make it Espy, just come sit while we wait for everybody else to get here," she called to her, gesturing for her to join them. |
Lucid was relaxing in the hot tub when she noticed White and many of the other contestants beginning to congregate. She stepped out, tied a towel around her waist, and approached them. "You're looking much better today, White," she remarked.
