I wish they still sold strawberry applesauce at Red Lobster. ;-;
I am vegetarian now, so all I can eat at Red Lobster is their cheddar biscuits....

littl3chocobo 12-22-2019 11:17 PM

i cannot have some seafood so all seafood is off-limits to me except hella processed stuff

Kory 12-23-2019 12:52 AM

Allergies? :(

My neighbors gave me loads of beer once and me, being a young kid and not wanting to be rude, accepted it even though it was nasty... And when I came back home that night, my parents had bought loads of seafood.

I vomited because of the beer and I haaaaated seafood for a long time after that. ;u;
Especially lobster and shrimp. :c

It's been a long time since I've had seafood, but sometimes I really wish I could eat some nice salmon sashimi every now and then. I pass it in the grocery stores and it looks so tasty... !!!
I kinda kick myself because I only *just* started eating sushi like a month or two before I decided to stop eating meat.

littl3chocobo 12-23-2019 02:18 AM

i dunno. i can eat stuff that has seafood juice in it but not the actual meat in most cases. i might just not care for eating something cute

mdom 12-23-2019 11:28 AM

Hmmm I love squid

also I never had applesauce

Stabbsworth 12-23-2019 01:20 PM

squid.

i got the oppurrtunity to try actual crab once. it was good shit.

mdom 12-23-2019 02:10 PM

My parents are into crab

I'm only into squid and octopus

y'all think I'm joking when I say they're only after chocobo

Espy 12-23-2019 03:47 PM

Not having seafood is a major gripe of mine (with regards to being on campus in Arizona). At least my previous college in Pittsburgh had seafood regularly, albeit maybe somewhat... dubious.

Mekatra 12-23-2019 05:27 PM

Seafood in landlocked states makes m nervous.

Kory 12-23-2019 06:07 PM

I loved eating crab as a kid!
My grandfather lived in Virginia and would catch crabs and bring them home and cook them and we'd eat them!

When I would come back home to Minnesota, most of the kids my age were scared of crabs. :(

I never liked squishy things like squid or octopus. I don't like muscles or scallops or clams either!

I do miss salmon, though. And tuna sometimes.
It's been a few years since I've had any seafood, and since I live in California now, I bet the seafood here is outstanding.

My parents often get fish and chips or go to these fancy seafood restaurants... and I just either don't go along, or if I do go along, I bring my own food

mdom 12-23-2019 09:01 PM

Why were they scared of crabs?

I mean, I understand being scared of 'crabs' but not... crabs

Mekatra 12-23-2019 10:02 PM

Cuz they're pinchy maybe? They look like alien creatures.

littl3chocobo 12-23-2019 10:41 PM

oh man, i forgot about clams. i liked eating those as a kid ;3;

dude, if i could eat at a chippy i'd be the size of a house. alas there is a decided difference between wanting to eat something and actually putting it in your mouth

Biomecha 12-24-2019 12:03 AM

Clams and oysters can be good. I've been enjoying smoked mussels from a can lately, but they seem hard to find.

I think because I grew up in small-town, Minnesota..
So crabs were considered "exotic" food.

mdom 12-24-2019 05:59 PM

Hm, so odd... ever since I was a kid they're 'fancy food' here xD

littl3chocobo 12-24-2019 08:02 PM

crabs are kinda cute

Kory 12-24-2019 08:53 PM

We used to have pet crawfish.
I loved them!

They were really cute.

Mekatra 12-24-2019 08:58 PM

I grew up in the kind of place where crab was considered super fancy too. XD

I used to own hermit crabs and I loved them, but I couldn't bring myself to own any now. They aren't meant to live alone or in small groups. They're meant to live in massive colonies

mdom 12-24-2019 09:20 PM

even though they're hermits? xD

Mekatra 12-24-2019 10:08 PM

Yeah, it's a total misnomer.

littl3chocobo 12-24-2019 10:57 PM

crawfish are cute too

seabugs need more love<3

Merskelly Metalien 12-24-2019 11:21 PM

<x3 I agree.

littl3chocobo 12-24-2019 11:23 PM

cuddle a crustacean?

Merskelly Metalien 12-24-2019 11:28 PM

<:3 Lobsters are lovelies with tickle feets and snippy snap hands.
Crabs are cuties with wiggle jaws and scuttle huddlers. <x3
Isopods...are armored babies...with..<x} a scary amount of legs, hehe!

littl3chocobo 12-24-2019 11:29 PM

you mean "with skittie bitties!"

Merskelly Metalien 12-24-2019 11:30 PM

x'D hehehehe sure! That's a great way to put it!

Mekatra 12-24-2019 11:38 PM

Pretty sure that is just a giant rolly-polly.

Merskelly Metalien 12-24-2019 11:43 PM

:D It 'tis!

littl3chocobo 12-24-2019 11:56 PM

hehhe water rollies

Mekatra 12-25-2019 12:11 AM

Do they bite? It looks like it would bite.

Kory 12-25-2019 06:29 PM

My dad said that when he was kid he lived on the beach and every summer he and his friends would flip over horseshoe crabs. :(

I felt so bad for them. I loved the horseshoe crabs.
They're really sweet little things

mdom 12-25-2019 07:38 PM

Aw D: poor crabs, getting hate from all directions

Kory 12-25-2019 07:58 PM

It's so cruel! :(

But he was a kid, so I am not too upset.
He used to take me to aquariums as a kid and I got to touch horseshoe crabs and manta rays.
I wasn't afraid of them because they were cute and I was exposed to sea creatures at an early age.

I really loved nature back then ;w;
I still do, but am less likely to walk up to a wild animal and touch it...

littl3chocobo 12-25-2019 08:17 PM

ok, so maybe i am a better cook than i give myself credit for. i don't care for pork products at all but this ham is pretty alright with curry rice and potatoes

Kory 12-25-2019 09:37 PM

I can guarantee you,
At the very least.... You're probably a better cook than my mom. :P

littl3chocobo 12-25-2019 09:39 PM

it sounds like the local squirrel population is a better cook than your mum XD

Merskelly Metalien 12-26-2019 01:09 AM

:D I can make edible pasta. Is that cooking? <x}
