I didn't actually have anything wintery as far as backgrounds that was REALLY SNOW ETC , what I used is a lot of different background texture layer things/ white strand of lights and it just looked like snow fog etc

When you select your base, there's one at the very end that doesn't have an avatar in it. You can select this, and you won't have a base in your avatar.
