So much to do!

Peony 12-15-2016 09:33 PM

And so little time to do it in. Dang busy holiday season!

Kaderin Triste 12-15-2016 09:40 PM

I would have been fine if I had been better prepared for the craft fair in Nov. But because of that, I couldn't even start on any presents until mid-November. So I essentially have only had/have a month and a half to make 7 presents.

Shadami 12-15-2016 09:50 PM

i've been making all my presents this week ^^;;

Peony 12-15-2016 09:52 PM

Oh god! Kad whyyyy. I mean Im usually the same way honestly. This year I splurged and actually bought people gifts for once.
A great fall back plan though, baked goods. Loafs, cookies, peppermint bark, etc~
Or even plants!

Shadami 12-15-2016 09:53 PM

i can't afford to buy anything xD

Peony 12-15-2016 09:56 PM

I could only afford it cause I dont spend a lot normally and Id been saving up from work lol.

Kaderin Triste 12-15-2016 09:59 PM

Yeah...I'm too broke to buy much, including ingredients for baked goods and candy. But I have TONS of yarn. So except for one person, everyone gets a loom knit item.

Shadami 12-15-2016 10:00 PM

yeah, we don't have that much money so saving isn't really a thing. xD

i've made 2 hats and a moogle so far. xD

Kaderin Triste 12-15-2016 10:05 PM

I have made...3/4 of a blanket, 1/2 of a dragon, and 3/4 of a pair of scaled gloves so far!

Peony 12-15-2016 10:28 PM

Hey knitting is awesome! Im crocheting a blanket for my sister in law cause shes havin a baby next march~
But dang. Blankets take so loooooooong ; A;

Moonshadow 12-15-2016 11:24 PM

I feel so lazy! and totally a Scrooge. I have decided not to get many Christmas gifts this year. Just giving kids a gift.

Kaderin Triste 12-15-2016 11:32 PM

Peony: Yeah, blankets can really be a hassle to make. Normally one of the style I'm making would take about 3 months just because I don't like to have to rush them much...but if I really haul ass, I should hopefully get it finished this weekend. Though I have misplaced my last skein of yarn again...

I have tried crocheting and knitting. Crocheting/Knitting both hurt my wrists and I can only cast-on in knitting, I just can't knit. I loved cross-stiching but had to give it up because it hurts my finger, my hand and wrist.

I am very envious you guys are so motivated.

Kad did you start your Etsy shop yet?

Kaderin Triste 12-16-2016 12:07 AM

I recommend loom knitting. It's what I do and would probably be a lot easier on your wrists.
And while my etsy shop still exists, no, I still don't have any products in it because I have been WAY too busy trying to make Christmas presents. My plan has been, and continues to be, to make items and get them into the shop in approximately 6 months to a year, starting in January.

Moonshadow 12-16-2016 12:28 AM

That is a good plan. I just love those dragons you make, will they be in your shop?
