Ugh....I am having trouble staying interested in a lot of my books.
Plus have realized that I really do have a lot of projects I need to work on soon. Only 1 major one though. A blanket that I need to do for a christmas present. But it's going to be an actual good one and not my quick type one that I normally do, so it will probably take a bit longer than normal. Also want to work on my mermaid blanket even though that's not really a top priority project. But finishing it would free up my one blanket loom so that, if I have time, I could make another blanket for a friend because they love Doctor Who so I want to make them a blanket using the colors and general design of the Tom Baker scarf. Ugh. Sorry for the rant/babble stuff. XD tl;dr: Having trouble getting into current books because have too many craft projects. |
I'm into a "little bit each day" mode. It seems to be working alright. I read a little from both books, draw a little, make a few more notes on a couple of writing projects, etc. I don't get anywhere very quickly but I do feel like I've done things. My chore for today was doing a load of dishes so I'm into some fun stuff now.

Yeah..I did like...just over 4 rows on the blanket I'm starting on for my dad's Christmas present. I'm still not sure I like the yarn colors, but they're fairly "manly" so hopefully he won't hate it. So after work, my goal is to get a load of laundry in (because I desperately need to wash my work jeans since I only have the one pair currently) and then finish the row I am doing on the previously mentioned blanket and also to read at least 1 chapter in a book and finish the decrease section on the mermaid blanket that I have started. (which is essentially I think 5 rows...but I have decreased quite a bit already plus the stitch is easy, so it should only take maybe an hour on that)
Edit: I lied. I don't have my other job tomorrow. I have it Saturday. Afternoon. So I have time to do laundry tomorrow. And/or buy a second pair of work jeans. |
I find myself just reading.
I don't do anything else, and I'm not sure that is too good. Last Sunday I just spent the whole day reading instead of going anywhere. I have become a recluse. |
Nothing wrong with just reading.
Although I do recommend getting out on occasion. |
a day to yourself like that every now and then is ok
|
Yes I go out too, I don't have lots of friends, but I meet some acquaintances twice a week at the local bar, which is always fun.
I've just been in such a funk lately. Just about everyone I know has been. We will snap out of it, soon I hope. |
I have me book for this year's Reading Link Challenge. Wasn't going to read much this weekend but I can't go anywhere without a book, "just in case." ;)
Decided to just stick my reading challenge lists in my sig. Hah! |
I've been trying to go through a list (challenge) it will take me more than 1 year!
I am now reading H is for Hawk. Up to page 30 and have cried a bit. I hope this book is not going to be a torture read like The Lovely Bones. |
I remember my teacher reading the into to The Lovely Bones and I noped right there.
I though for a second there that you make an alphabet list and were on H reading a book called "Hawk." (But then I remembered there's a series that works like that.) |
Well I have to say that I read The Lovely Bones and saw the movie after my mother died. Before I saw The Lovely Bones I did not understand, afterward I did, so it was very helpful to me.

Ugh! I need to start reading my project book. I just seem to be putting off all my books. I wandered into fan fiction again.
|
I started two books yesterday, read about 20 pages each and gave up!
Horrible non-fiction. H is for Hawk and Ghost Boy. Too depressing and sad. |
Ugh I haven't done much reading lately. Have been too busy with work. XP
Damn morning shifts. |
I read a little today but not much.
|
Two chapters!
The short, easily read chapters, but still... |
